Bought car new in 2000 and it still performs well. Very few problems just, the air conditioner does not cool well, and the power windows have problems as well as the locks but the warranty covered every major problem we had. Car still has only 85, 000 actual miles and goes everyday. We will probably buy another Hyundai when we decide to buy.

Shakes too much and feels like it is going to fall apart.
Shakes a lot. Check engine light is always on and transmission has known to fail. Loses acceleration very quickly when foot is taken off gas pedal. Trunk is jammed and needs to be opened from the car door button. Paint peels, lights burn out easily, and car feels like it is about to fall apart. Terrible design.

Other people should know how important it is to maintain my vehicle.
I love it because it is smooth riding and good on the gas..... I hate I am unemployed and do not have the money to fix it up..

My car is 18 years old and still rides smoothly!
My Hyundai has a very strong and stable engine. The visibility is very comfortable. Even though it is an older model, it still rides very smoothly. From a full stop, my car takes off much faster than most with no effort. I have the v6 engine. Very pleased with it.

It is very reliable, safe to drive and very efficient on gas.
It is very safe, drives smoothly, feel comfortable seats, very spacious for a car, the trunk is very big. The handle of the car is getting a little worn and has to be fixed very often.

It has good mileage. Very fast. Nice make and model. No wrecks and runs.
I like it. Good mileage and very good speed and it is a fighter. Has had it for years and still working perfect and running smooth. Has good radio and etc. I really like this car in terms of speed and make and model. I got it 5 years ago and it still runs like the day I got it. The body of it is in pretty good shape. No wrecks and still running smooth.

Hyundai sonata 2000 good first car.
Just lots of miles around 180 miles. I had to replace the horn. It gets good gas mileage . Drives smoothly does not cause me very many problems . The trunk is large and roomy. Enough room to store tools and car supplies plus get a whole week's worth of groceries . This car has a lever near the drivers front seat to pop the trunk.

Very Reliable will get you where you need to be and back.
Very reliable, good gas mileage 24 to 26 miles per gallon. Recent oil change and tune up. 193000 miles.

Overall not bad, but could use improvements.
My car is not awful, and I have seen worse vehicles before. The seats are fine in terms of material and movement, and overall the design of the car is fine. However, I do wish there were more cup holders in the back, and also air vents in the back. My air conditioner has been broken for as long as I can remember, and my car shakes whenever I drive it. I have had to take it to the shop multiple times and I have put over $3, 000 into repairs, and it always goes back to less than perfect soon after repairs. Overall, I like my car, I just wish I didn't have to put so much money into it all the time as I am a broke college student.

Older cars are made better than new ones.
Car runs just like it did when new. The power antenna has broken and is very costly to fix. It needs a whole new piece put in car. So for now I have no radio. It handles well and is very good on gas. The interior has held up and looks like new. I had to change tires twice and get new radiator put in.

My car has plenty of space inside- plenty of leg room, and I've moved several times, packing my furniture inside-I didn't have to rent a U-Haul.
What I like about my Hyundai Sonata is the smooth ride, and also the sunroof and stereo system. It's a truly comfortable ride. One of my favorite things to do is go driving in my Hyundai, with the sunroof down and CD player (music) blaring (With the air conditioner on, too).

2000 Hyundai Sonata Review
I bought my car 4 years ago at a used car lot. I paid 4000 cash for it. I've only had to replace the alternator on it but other than that i've had zero issues. I've definitely got my money's worth out of it.
