The car has a long life span.
I like how many miles per gallon of gas I get and the leg room. The vehicle is big enough for multiple uses and still a good size car to easily handle.
accountCircle Victor S
Very reliable and dependable!
Very reliable, no mechanical issues, drives great, no loud engine, ac and heat work, dependable and sturdy.
accountCircle Michelle W
I'm not sure if depends on what you need
It's comfortable cute and just the right size
accountCircle Regina B
The vehicle is excellent all around I wouldn't change anything about it
Its an excellent vehicle, love the leather seats, the sunroof is awesome as well. Nice SUV also a gas saver. Child friendly easy to clean. This vehicle is also long-lasting. Hatchback is a an excellent size for this type of vehicle. Cup holders are on every door even the back doors. Tires aren't as expensive as you would think. Oil changes aren't as expensive as I would have thought
accountCircle Jennifer F
Gets great gas mileage, long laying reliable vehicle
Very comfortable, roomy, no blind spots. Drives great. No major problems. Replaced door handles when they broke. Cheap fix
accountCircle Mary R
It is very reliable if you keep up the oil changes and service regularly.
Higher than a sedan. Has been a very reliable vehicle.
accountCircle Marsh Y
Always Old faithful from the very beginning
The vehicle is very reliable. It is an older vehicle. Until last year there has never been a major issue. The issue was with the sensor in the passenger window. Other than that I have been very satisfied with the performance.
accountCircle Michelle D
It is cute and it is paid for and that's what matters!
I love being up higher. I love heated seats. I love 4wd

This car is not worth buying
No ac right bumper is messed up right headlight being held up with wire so it will stay in place the whole car shakes when it sits still
accountCircle Daniel W
That it is affordable, and a joy to drive.
It is a slightly un economical car but nonetheless. It holds up well considering it is a cheap beater car, still chugging along nicely and everything.
accountCircle Hanna Y
As it wears down more and more, it does not accelerate quickly.
My car is very old. In the past year I have had to get work done on the car, worth over $1, 000 in repairs.
accountCircle Heidi F
Good for a while - then too many repairs
I now have 156,000 miles on my car, and about every 6 to 8 months I have had to had significant repairs on it to keep it running.
accountCircle Emily R
There is no AC in the car so it is extremely hot to drive, especially in traffic.
It has had problems the last year. The oil leaks. The air conditioner doesn't work either.
accountCircle Amber W
If you take care of the necessary maintenance, this car will last.
My vehicle is reliable and sturdy. The drive is very smooth, and for a bigger vehicle it turns on a dime. It definitely will not be the car first off the line, but it will be the car that could drive the longest.
accountCircle Becky S
Used Hyundai; major rust problem
I got my vehicle from Wisconsin and living in Florida, the bottom has completely rusted. Almost every long trip I take something major breaks down. I find the trunk a bit small. Has few features.
accountCircle Abby F
Gas mileage is not the greatest.
Car works good. Have been driving it for about two years. No major issues. Not the best on gas unless you are on the interstate. I use it to commute to school and it gets the job done! Love the four wheel drive. Overall, would recommend.

Check exhaust/wiring system before purchasing used.
Several recalls have been issued for the 2006 Tucson including wiring issues (rare) and the exhaust system (more common). However, the 2.7 engine is a dream when taken care of.

2006 Hyundai Tucson four wheel drive heated leather seats.
My 2006 Hyundai Tucson has lot of room. It has good gas mileages. It has heated seats and it has four wheel drive. It is leather seats.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Kristen H.

4WD capabilities, reliable, hardly any maintenance, smooth ride, roomy passenger seating, good handling in the snow, pretty decent miles per gallon considering it is a larger crossover, plastic trunk flooring is great for cleaning, glass of trunk is easily opened for larger loads.

likeFilled Linda G.

Rarely needs repairs and when it does, they are not very costly. Drives great, super sporty, does not feel like I am driving a small SUV. Handles nicely. Good gas mileage. I have chronic back pain and the seats are super comfortable. The air/heat work amazing!

likeFilled Jose G.

Pros: Spacious, Quiet, Smooth ride, Gas Saver, Great sound system, Rear seats fold down for added storage, sturdy and beefy luggage rack on top, Easy to maintenance, Cheap maintenance, comes with Electronic Traction Control that, s really helpful in the rain and snow, Great cargo space in the rear hatch.

likeFilled Bettina D.

Drives great in all types of weather and not too large in size. Easy to maintain. Really no cons love this vehicle especially the design. The only con would be that Hyundai has changed the body style with a longer hood hard for short people to see over it.

likeFilled Susan W.

Runs very smooth and the style is fun. Very easy to drive and not too big. I love it. It is already 14 years old with only 60,000 miles. Still runs like new. I would recommend a Tucson to anyone that would ask me.

likeFilled Michelle B.

This vehicle is very reliable. It is great for mini family vacations due to having good fuel mileage and having a decent amount of space. For being a SUV it is does not feel top heavy like some do which makes me feel safer. It is fully automatic and has plenty of storage space if you have any little ones.

likeFilled Christen M.

I haven't had any issues nothing has needed to be fixed since I bought it. I like the size and gas mileage is good. It runs really well I can put all the seats down easy I enjoy the color. To put things in if needed also.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Kristen H.

Fabric seats and floor are not easily cleaned with pet hair, the trunk is not very spacious, no smart radio feature, no hands free phone capabilities, the headlights go out often and the covers get very grimy quickly, not AWD but it is 4WD, no backup camera, windshield has been cracked by flying pebbles on many occasions, the tire pressure monitoring system is battery operated and when the battery dies it is a dealership only $500 replacement.

dislikeFilled Linda G.

It does not have all the bells and whistles. I wish I had a backup camera and seated heats. The right passenger window seems to leak, I can hear air when I am driving. The silver trim on the exterior has 'bubbles' in it and makes the car look older than what it really is.

dislikeFilled Jose G.

Cons: Turn radius, Fog lights are not standard on all packages, bad blind spots for the driver when switching lanes, hard to reach Transmission dipstick, Hard to change headlights, Hard to find rear wiper blade replacements, easily dents, comes with tires too small for an SUV, cheap window tint.

dislikeFilled Bettina D.

Replacement parts are costly especially the windshield wipers. The design of this vehicle has been changed should have kept the old design. Dealership costs are too high found a neighborhood mechanic with better labor rates.

dislikeFilled Susan W.

Right now, the undercarriage appears to be starting to rust. Can expect it as it is 14 years old. I really do not have any other cons to write about here, as I love the Hyundai Tucson. I would purchase another one.

dislikeFilled Michelle B.

Although I feel very safe in this vehicle the blind spots are a little bit more than I like. The take off power is a little slow. And the right side of the terminals for the battery could be easier to change and access other than that it is a great vehicle.

dislikeFilled Christen M.

My stereo volume is broken the back wiper is broken off and I've seen that issues on the same make and model of other people's. My air conditioning goes in and out. It seems like something might be leaking a fluid but not sure it's got some rust underneath but that has to do with being in north New York probably.
