My daughter bought a 2015 and the engine is messed up and knocking really loud we were charged 5500.00 plus for a motor she only had the car 2 months

There was a recall on the 2015 Hyundai Veloster. The connecting rod in some of the cars is faulty. It makes a knocking/pinging noise. If the engine is found to have this issue, Hyundai has to replace the engine. If you had this issue, but were not aware of the recall, Hyundai may be responsible for reimbursing you.

Vehicle is reliable but it does not ride smooth. When you are pulling off, it can be very rough. There is a definite jerk within the first 5 seconds of pulling off. It is very irritating. Also, within a month of getting the car, I had a mechanical issue with the trunk.

I do not have any problems out of my vehicle. I am a single mother and it is too small for my child. But overall it is a good vehicle. I have never had any mechanical problems with it. The only thing I have had to do is replace the battery and keep the oil changed.

The reliability of this vehicle could be better. Considering there is only 50k miles and I am the first owner. I had to replace the battery at 20k miles, two check engine lights for the same issue replaced both times, and the rear brakes constantly make strange noises when applying on downward hills, and the pads, rotors, and calipers are fine. Otherwise I do love driving it.

I feel that the car is too low and too tiny. Sometimes it causes back pain or for people to hit their head on the top of the door. But despite that, I feel that it is a very reliable and has great gas mileage. Other than that I also like the color of the car considering that it was fixed.

My vehicle is small, but perfect for one person. I have dogs and they can easily go places with me they stay in the back. The car is a 3 door car, so I find that easier when I am letting my dogs out of the car. I have not had any mechanical problems with my car. It is good on gas and rides good. I have taken many road trips in my car and even though it is small, it is perfect for me and all my luggage and trust me, I overpack!
