Other suv parts can be used to repair it since the parts match with others
I like that it's an suv and easy to drive but it's an older model and I think since it's not a model that being built anymore it makes repairs more difficult.

The ascender overall is a nice SUV.
The only problem I have had with my ascender is the gage cluster has electrical problems. Each gage has its own little electric motor which are plagued with many problems and will suddenly stop working. Right now my fuel gage has stopped working. I replaced the entire gage cluster about 3 years ago as it is not possible to repair each page individually you must replace the whole cluster as it is a sealed unit. The cost is about 350.00 dollars and only comes with a one year warranty.

The SUV is really big. It uses a lot of gas. I've had to replace a lot of engine parts. It cost me more money than it's worth.
It can be an effective vehicle if you get it brand new. Buying it used had a lot of downfalls.

Transmission problems are very common with these vehicles.
I have had a lot of problems with the transmission and the electrical system. I do get good gas mileage and it is very comfortable.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Jordan S.

The pros of my vehicle is the amount of space the car has, great acceleration, and an amazing turn radius. In addition, my Isuzu has basic buttons that are simple and not as complex as newer cars. The hitch in the back is also great for towing.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Jordan S.

There are a few cons. For example, there car itself is pretty difficult to get into due to its height. Additionally, the fuel efficiency is terrible. I end up having to spend forty-dollars a week. There could be better space and leg room in the back seat. Finally, there are many maintenance issues with my Isuzu.
