My jeep compass is comfortable riding on rough roads. It is a smooth ride all around. Getting in and out of the vehicle is easy. I originally purchased this vehicle to make it easy for my elderly mother to get in and out of it for her doctor visits, etc. It is the perfect height, not too high off the road, but not too low.
It is comfortable. It is fairly easy to get in and out of. Even though it is only a 4 cylinder, it has enough get up and go for my driving situations. The gas mileage is decent. I like that there is 4 wheel drive for the snowy conditions of MN winters.
This vehicle provides a smooth ride, even on rough roads. It is perfect to hold four people, including the driver. It has cup holders and comfortable seating. The rear seats lay down to provide more room if you need to put stuff in the rear.
There appears to be room for 3 persons in the back seat, but it is actually made only for 2 (only 2 seatbelts). There just is not enough room in the front seat for items that you may normally carry. I am having difficulty in putting up a cell phone holder without blocking my driving view. It just feels cramped in the front with a passenger.
It is hard to see the back end. I had an aftermarket backup camera installed. That helps in the baking process. I would like more storage that cannot be seen. It helps to have back-seat windows darkened, but I would like something more like a trunk.
There are only two seat belts in the rear seat so you cannot have more than 3 passengers. There is not enough space in the front for personal items like your cellphone, etc. There are two beverage holders in the front seat that are too close together so the drivers arm is over it. There is not enough room in the front. My son gets in the passenger side and sits down and somehow always pulls my hair.
The 2009 Jeep Compass has an average owner rating of 4.05 out of 5 which ranks it #18 of 25 other Compact SUVs.
