It is small inside, it feels like its high centered it feels like if you take a corner to fast that you will turn over.
It does not get the great gas mileage that I was hoping for.

The compass has an auto-shifter.
It is reliable for highway driving. The compass has enough space to hold everything that I need to take with me. The thing I dislike about it is the headlights are too bright even when dimmed.

I like that the color is black. It is my favorite color. The seats also lay down and give me more room.
It has some issues where the lights on the dash come on.even though I have had I checked And nothing is wrong with it. And it's a bumpy ride.

2nd Jeep and plan to get another after this one.
Electrical wires have stopped working for one window, but beyond that it is a great car. Great gas mileage and will the right up keep, it runs smooth and silent. I would recommend this car to anyone. It is my 2nd Jeep and I plan to get another Jeep after this one.

Reliable, dependable, newer than past cars
Roomy, good gas mileage, hard to view cars in the lanes on either side (thereby forcing me to take an extra look and be sure no one is there), elevated off of ground, sturdy,

Most usually the thing I have a problem with most is that the parts are expensive
It has a plug-in like a wall plug-in and it has great space the back seats lay down for extra storage it drives really well it's not so good on gas I don't think and we've had problems with the 4 Wheel Dr. In it and the brakes a lot

The car is very reliable, I've had no serious issues.
I've always liked the brand jeep. The only thing I dislike about the vehicle is it's not very roomy.

It is quicker than it would appear. It's built pretty well
It has descent acceleration and handling. The gas mileage is fairly good app. And the interior is comfortable

Oil change light is on, tire says it low makes a noise when backing up. Torn driver seat. Sticker on back window.

Jeep Wranglers non adventurous brother
The Jeep Compass overall is a and part of the Jeep family but far from a actually Jeep Vehicle. It under performs with the 2.4l V4 model, while getting close to 23 miles on the highway and around 19 In the city. But having a 12 gallon tank, it doesn't cost much to fill up. It is not the smoothest ride, and has decent cargo space in back. Overall it has been a good vehicle. But I give it a C in the Family of Jeeps.

Nine yeArs old and no repairs needed, just oil and filter
I like the lifetime motor and transmission. I like the gas mileage. I do not like the wind noise

Gets me where I need to go!
It is been a really dependable vehicle. I did have to replace the transmission only 2 years after having it, but I believe they've fixed that problem. It is been on several road trips and held up well. Now that it is older, more things are coming up here and there, but it still gets me where I need to go!

2009 Jeep Compass great buy
I love my Jeep but I've had to replace the intake valve twice. Other than that it's been a great buy.

It may have errors as far as water from rain coming in through the sunroof and into the light system occasionally.
So far it has a very good performance in snow and weather. The only problem we have had is with the coolant being low occasionally. It is a smooth ride overall and functions well.

It is very reliable, and functional
Inexpensive four wheel drive, compact and reliable. Comfortable, attractive and functional.

If I had to recommend the Jeep Compass to a friend, I would not recommend it to anyone.
When my husband and I bought the Jeep, the dealership we bought it from didn't bother telling us that it had any problems. We took it on a vacation and it broke down on us. We have put tons of time and money into fixing it. It now runs well, but we can't get the check engine light to go off.

It is a four cylinder and is fuel efficient.
It is fuel efficient and drives smoothly. It is easy to get in and out of and is a comfortable ride. I have nice space in the back and there is leg room in the back seats.

I like the size and that it is a standard. I dislike that it is not 4 wheel drive
There are large blind spots with this vehicle. Keep up on the maintenance it may seem pricey but its cheaper than fixing future problems

The original tires s**k! Change them immediately! :)
This vehicle only has one flaw that I know of and that is a break sensor that goes out. This is a cheap $10-20 fix. Other than that the slap stick and 4wd on the fly change over is just awesome!

A tin can wrapped in plastic trim, engine sounds like it has Chipmunks in it.
Cheaply made interior and trim is plastic, brake pads have to be replaced often not due to driver using excessively, motor sounds awful even though there's no repairs that need to be done. Trim is gray where it should be black due to cheap material. I hate it but I'm stuck with it.

I feel safe in it. It has a lot of air bags and other safety alerts like low tire light.
I like being higher up than a sedan. I wish it had a little more trunk space. The back seat is a little tight for 3 people. I do get decent gas mileage for an SUV.

Nice size SUV. Easy to drive in the winter. Good on gas

It's fun to drive. It gets great gas mileage, I love that I can transport everything I need
Love my Jeep, great gas mileage, 4 wheel drive for winter weather. Wish I had the ability to sync my phone to the radio, but that is minor

There are not any. I would not recommend this vehicle to anyone.
My jeep does not shift . Correctly. It is stuck in 4wd. Going from park to drive it sometimes takes at least 5 seconds to shift into gear. Sometimes while driving it shuts off but cranks right back up. When in idol at red lights it tries to shut off and I have to shift into neutral.

Must have your keys at all time.
I love that it is a good family car. I really do not like that there is always something wrong with the wheel speed sensor.
accountCircle Margaret E on November 20, 2018
Affordable car for the no-frills driver.
My jeep is very basic, no frills, sturdy, safe, and reliable. Its white exterior is difficult to keep clean. It has a blind spot at the right rear that makes changing lanes challenging. Its spacious and comfortably seats five. The hatchback makes hauling things easy.

2009 Compass with Manual Windows and Door Locks
My 2009 Jeep Compass is a great ride! It has comfortable, adjustable seating. It does only seat four people which can be inconvenient at times. The rear seats fold down to create a large rear space if you need it. The performance on back roads as well as highway is great. I have manual windows and locks, which is what I wanted because the expense to repair power windows and locks is more, and I know this from experience. I do wish I had more space for items in the front. I would like room for a holder for my cell phone. I do love my Compass other than the lack of space in the front seating area.
