The Amazing Go-Anywhere, Survive Anything Vehicle.

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

The beast has four-wheel drive, power steering, a V-eight, and has made 2 long distance trips in the two years we've owned it. We also have heated seats, which for an arthritis sufferer like me is marvelous on cold days. We bought it used, and it has been a mainstay of our lives. It holds my electric mobility device and a month's worth of groceries easily, can go through the deepest snow without getting stuck, and is reasonably showy (for those who like such things.) Having bought it used, we found it had been neglected, yet we were able to continue driving it while making the necessary repairs. On the latest trip home from a long-distance trip, one of the two drive shafts developed a problem, yet we were able to get home safely and drove it about a week before the replacement part came in and we were able to get it fixed. It drives easily and reliably. It's a good vehicle.

Good looking vehicle with nice features.

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

It drives really well. Lots of power from 4.7 liter engine. Handles like a car. Comfortable seats with nice features--I.e. leather, moonroof, and seat warmers. Has electrical glitches. Check engine light has always come on and gone off sporadically. Engine often chugs and stutters in first gear. Transmission sometimes hesitates to engage, but it's an 05 with 203k miles on it, so what do you expect? My biggest complaint is the lack of interior space. It's a big vehicle that guzzles gas, so you would at least think it would be roomy. You'd be mistaken. It's fine for me because I'm single and have no kids. However, this would be a cramped and uncomfortable family vehicle. Even transporting friends is uncomfortable and aggravating.

It might be an oldie, but it is a goodie.

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

For a vehicle that is 14 years old, my jeep runs quite well. It gets pretty decent gas mileage-I'd say about 20-25 mpg. The back seat folds down in sections, so it is good for hauling stuff and still being able to take passengers. It does have some performance issues when it gets hot out. It idles very roughly, and is absolutely unable to run smoothly on speedway gasoline. My fiance does pretty much all maintenance work himself, and finds it relatively easy to do so. It does seem to go through spark plug replacements a little faster than one would hope. It is seen a lot of miles, and overall is a very comfortable long-haul vehicle.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Lacks in Headspace

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

I love the amount of storage space I have, but the ceiling of the car is very low, so if I have my hair up on top of my head it will hit the ceiling even though I am not a tall person. Other than the lack of headspace, the car is very comfortable. I haven't had many issues with the vehicle since I've owned it, but I have had several issues with the battery, and every time I get it checked out, I hear similar responses from the mechanic that Jeeps often have battery issues and need attention for that specific issue. I wish it had better gas mileage as well.

Comfortable and reliable vehicle

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

It's very comfortable to drive. It has a dim setting on the rearview mirror to enhance visibility from the headlights on the car behind you. It has heated side view mirrors. The water pump and belt did need to be replaced, which is apparently common. Another common problem is that the interior door handles and sunglasses holder are not very sturdy, they cracked and broke pretty easily after a few years. I wish it had an auxiliary port for the radio, but the setup of the console is nice. Gas mileage isn't great.

Jeep grand Cherokee 05' hemi.

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

It's a great vehicle but I have really bad luck so things are starting to go wrong. The ac just stopped working and it needs new tires and brakes but other than that it's a great vehicle. It does take a lot of money to afford gas because it is a hemi. It's a great family vehicle and its 4 doors. There are 2 rows of seats so it can fit up to five people in it plus there is tons of trunk space. A lot of people take these back in the woods and say it's great for that too but I have not done that with mine.

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

I love my jeep. It is the second one I have owned. They are very reliable vehicles. My previous one had over 200,000 miles and was still running wonderfully. I have only had to do basic maintenance on them to keep them running exceptionally. I would highly recommend to anyone to purchase a jeep. Their performance, reliability and comfort are beyond typical vehicle standards. The only thing outside of regular maintenance I have had to fix is the starter, which really would be included in maintenance.

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

I have owned my Jeep Grand Cherokee for 13 years. I have had quite a few problems with it. There have been multiple issues with the engine. I have had the whole motor replaced. Many things that have leaked and needed fixed. There are also issues with the computer part of the system that have gone out. The cruise control stopped working 3 years ago. Other than those few things it has been a pretty good car for how old it is. I drive it a lot. I have 210,000 miles on it right now.

This car is great for road trips!

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

My car is very reliable and has lasted the test of time. Although it has poor gas mileage (I can usually get a maximum of 15 miles per gallon), it is still very durable. I can drive it in the city and in suburban areas. It has very little maintenance problems, especially for its age. My car specifically has made multiple road trips from Virginia to Florida and back, and is still in great condition. Keeping up the appearance of my car makes it seem almost as if it is new.

Very dependable and great on gas

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

It's a very reliable car, and really great on gas. This model does not have an aux cord which is such a bummer but you can easily fix that problem by buying a Bluetooth transmitter online for less than twenty dollars. The seats are cloth seats but the steering wheel is leather and can be really hot in the summer. The mirrors are switch adjustable which is very helpful... is a two row car and a nice size trunk.

You won't get stuck in a Jeep

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Overall we really like our Jeep. You can't beat a Jeep for getting through the snow we had last winter. The ride isn't the most comfortable so it's not something to take on a cross country trip. But our Jeep has been reliable and has gotten us where we need to go. It has plenty of cargo space especially when the back seats are down. We would definitely purchase another Jeep in the future.

My favorite thing about my jeep is my sunroof

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

I love my jeep, big enough to fit my whole family and all the things we need, has a big back area for all my groceries or things that we buy, I have had electricity problems with it transfer case problems but I also did not buy my jeep brand new I got it used. Mine has a sunroof which I love I've had it for three years and for what I've put into it it's been one of the greatest cars I've had.

- Saline L

Absolutely love the durability of my Jeep.

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

First of all I love the four wheel drive capability of the vehicle. It performs perfectly during the winter and occasional off roading. It has a v6 engine and has just enough power for the bit of driving I have to do. Had to replace the window opening mechanisms several times which kind of stinks. Also the Jeep was recalled about three times for different issues.

- Joe V

Jeep grand Cherokee Laredo-built for years of happiness.

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

I am on my 3rd jeep Laredo. My first one lasted 18 years. My second lasted 13 years but ended with a deer accident. I have bad knees so getting a car is not a good option for me. They are super comfortable and roomy. When the vehicle gets older is when the muffler needs to be replaced. Also when older, there is a transmission problem with shifting.

- Stacy S

My amazing adventure with jeep,

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Good mileage, spacious inside, easy to ride, I have had this type of vehicle since 2000 and it has been a pleasure to drive this car, very minimum maintenance and repairs, I would recommend this vehicle to anyone. I have bought two cars like this in the past 5 years, and have not had any problems. I very satisfied with this model.

Jeep Cherokee review. Works in most weather types.

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

My car is 14 years old and is still reliable. Being a Jeep Grand Cherokee it can go in most bad weather conditions. It has ample cargo space and provides great backseat legroom. I wish it had built in GPS. Also when say a window has to be replaced, the entire electrical system has to be repaired. No manual override. .

- CAM M

My car is a tan Jeep Grand Cherokee 2005

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Has an oil leak. Breaks aren't amazing. Electrical problems because the check engine light always goes on and off but there isn't anything wrong with the engine. The car is very comfortable and has good features on the inside. It is very spacious and has a big trunk. It is not the best on gas and gets 13 mpg.

- Alexa C

Old car with simple problems.

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Car is over 10 years old. Has had 2 transmissions. The motors on every window has been replaced several times. Brake booster made of plastic broke recently. Comfortable car to drive. Old but drives well. Leather on seats are tearing even with seat covers for over 7 years. Carpet on roof is starting to wear.

Black Cherokee Jeep Model 2005

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

We've had it for around 4 years and only just now is it starting to act up, we did use it basically 24/7 but anyway. We have motor problems, it may cost a lot but it is honestly worth it to get it running, it's very beautiful, runs very well, and goes fast and slow if needed. Great for a first car.

- Diamond P

All black with chrome trim around it and chrome rims.

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Tires are a little old but that is it, the engine runs good and everything else. I like the color and how smooth it rides. I have never had any start up issues or anything like that. The sunroof has had some issues but I got them fixed. My battery has died twice but that was not a big issue.

- Cameron C

I love my 2005 Jeep Laredo!!

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

I've had my car for about a year and I love it. I've had 2 accidents in it (one a deer and one a car in a parking garage) and my car escaped both with a scratch in the paint! I've had to replace multiple sensors (airbag, tire pressure, and check engine, but that's expected with a used 2005).

- Autumn B

Basically my truck is very reliable. I can count on it at anytime.

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

My jeep grand Cherokee has no problems at all there very reliable don't break down very easily. Great SUV to drive recommend it to everybody. Has a great stereo system, the ac is very cold. I have owned two of these before and all of them have performed very well for me and my family.

- Juan A

Runs well with consistent service, okay on gas if you do mostly highway.

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Comfortable seats with multiple options for seat adjustment. Strong heat and ac. Mine is currently over 205k miles and still runs like a dream. Driving 50-55 mph is best for fuel consumption. Easy to keep oil changes and other service needs done on time with a built in mile counter.

- Mariah M

Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, an excellent SUV

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Jeep GCL has all the features you could want in an SUV, off roading is amazing, this has enough space to fit my family of 5, this GCL has a V8 HEMI so the fuel economy around town is not the greatest but overall I love everything about my Jeep and wouldn't have it any other way.

- Samantha W

Jeep life is the best life

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

I love the great gas mileage. It's pretty impressive for a sport utility vehicle. It is high enough off the ground that avoids damages to the bottom of the vehicle. It is the 2nd jeep I've owned and I loved both of them. I would recommend a jeep to all of my family and friends.

- Erica D

My Jeep never lets me down and I'll never switch to another company

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

My jeep is very reliable, even though I don't maintain it as I should. I've had it for 5 years and the check engine light has never come on. After driving a small vehicle for years, when I switch to a Jeep I'll never go back to a small car. I would recommend a Jeep to anybody

- Chelsea B

Fantastic vehicle with minor problems that is cost effective

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Has had starter problems as well as electrical problems with the windows. Overall is a fantastic vehicle. Very spacious and comfortable for me and my family of four. Reliable in the snow and bad weather as long as you keep it maintained.I absolutely love my vehicle

- April P

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Best car I have owned

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Performance is really great. Some problems I have noticed is something it has a hard time getting up to speed. Comfort if you are bigger you probably won't be comfortable with the seat belt because it only goes so far. So if you are bigger it is really tight on you

- Haley B

Jeep Cherokee is the way to go !

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

I absolutely love my jeep. The only issue I have had with it, is needing to change the starter and battery. It gets me where I need to go, and starts up the first time, every time. I would highly recommend it ..it's comfortable in size, but isn't too big.

- Kristin F

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo is the best of the best

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Great vehicle for travel and snow conditions. The only downside is the gas mileage. Handles very well for off roading. Great to haul groceries, lumber etc. Lots of room. The vehicle is great for families as well as singles. I absolutely love this vehicle.
