Best car I have owned and have had no problems. Owned for 6 months so far.
I have only had this car for about 6 months and it runs like a dream. It handles rough terrain like a champ and drives smooth on paved roads. The engine is not loud or obnoxious and the sound from the stereo is decent for an older car. It has been very reliable and I have had zero issues.

Awesome 1st experience with jeep.
Love my jeep patriot! This car has been so good to me.. Only problems I have had are cosmetic, like the manual locks breaking. Would definitely buy a jeep again. I have over 108,000 miles on it. I will definitely buy another jeep product. This was my first jeep.

Jeep patriots are great cars.
I really enjoy my jeep patriot. It is very spacious inside and has everything in a vehicle that you need. It's a strong vehicle and does wonders on the gas mileage. It has not gave me any mechanical issues since I have had it which was about 6 years now. I definitely suggest the jeep patriots for a good family car.

Jeep 2014, trans died and warranty honored
My vehicle is good, I had to have the transmission replaced. The vehicle was still under warranty so I did not have to pay for it.
accountCircle Emma M
It's completely reliable and dependable. It maintains for a long time and is easily taken care of when something goes wrong.
On a surface level, the color. It's my favorite color and due to a special I got these very cool black rims. It's compact but has a lot of benefits of an SUV such as extra storage because the back folds down completely flat. It also has a gas saving feature where it doesn't use gas as much during stopping or cruising so I save a lot of money.

Jeep patriot: the better choice.
I love my Jeep patriot; it is not too big, but it is still spacious. It is a quiet ride. It is decent on gas mileage performance. The Jeep patriot is a very reliable vehicle. I love the body style of the Jeep patriot. My vehicle has black rims and it really compliments the trim around a white body. The seats are comfortable. I got the standard model; I wish I had gotten an upgraded model to power seats and leather and sunroof.
accountCircle Cheryl B
It has four wheel drive! It has a lot of storage space.
I like the size of my Jeep. I like having four wheel drive because I live in Michigan and hate driving in the snow and ice in the winter. I don't like the gas mileage.
accountCircle Abby M
That's does great in snowy conditions. It's also very spacious and great for long trips.
I love my Jeep Patriot because it's spacious and reliable. I also love the styling. It's great in snow and for traveling.

When you make the mistake of not getting a wrangler
Horrible ride, uncomfortable seats, and gets horrible mileage. When I first got the car it ran very smooth but now there are recalls on this model constantly. Not worth it.
accountCircle JOSEPH m
The car has a mind of Its own, for a lack of better words. Once, the car dashboard went crazy with all the meters moving back and forth and the lights of the inside interior flashing. That day i thought for sure my car was going to explode.
The performance for this car is weak, it takes a lot of pressure to the gas pedal to accelerate. Also, why is Jeep making modern cars without automatic windows. Tip for Jeep: Quit living in the past, and reimburse me for the joke of a car you guys made (Patriot)

Things are not what they always appear.
I do not like my Jeep patriot. I bought it used and its been nothing but a brother and money consuming. I've read reviews and now know Jeeps are not reliable and I will not buy one again. However they are nice on space if you have a family and need more space for traveling or daily activities.
accountCircle Melissa S
It gets good gas mileage.
It is too small. It is poorly made. The inside is cheaply made, all plastic. It was like it was just glued together. It is all coming apart.

DO NOT BUY
I actually had a Jeep built, so I added upgrades!! NOT WORTH IT!! I added leather seats, they are terrible, hate the big Jeep logo on them, not comfortable.. Paid extra for rust, waste of money, its rusted all over and I take care of it.. It has been costing me money left and right since I bought it..and again I have to put 1800 in it to get it inspected. It does not drive the greatest and is so low it gets stuck in the snow... Doors get stuck, no leg room in the back.. Lug nuts are cheap and break easily.. I could go on and on and on... No wonder they don't make them anymore!!! If I could give zero stars I would...
accountCircle Christopher H
That the car is the worst jeep that I have driven with no power.
The vehicle has no horse power, little room, and not very great stability The suspension crappy and the height low.
accountCircle Ruby O
The Jeep has bad blind spots in back of rear window, mostly due to high seats.
Can not see well out of back windows. Not very good gas mileage even after a tune-up. . Not really enough room for what I wanted.
accountCircle Sara F
My car is all wheel drive and does not have the best fuel efficiency
I like that it has Bluetooth and hands free phone. I don't like that it doesn't pick up speed very well. I like the size and amount of extra space.

2014 jeep patriot car review.
The car operates well. I haven't had many problems with the car. It runs very smoothly. The interior is very nice. The only problem I have run across with the vehicle is the alignment is messed up and my steering wheel is a little crooked at all times, but overall I love the car and everything about it.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Eve M.

I love the way it handles and the overall appearance of the car. On the downside it offers little space for transporting goods. And it is next to impossible to fit three car seats in the back of the vehicle.

likeFilled Jen M.

Love the room in this jeep only bad thing is if your elderly hard to get in and out of the jeep. Would require some help. The other positive is the gas mileage is awesome for on road off road adventures from the desert to the mountains.

likeFilled Haley S.

It has pretty decent gas mileage for being a Jeep and an SUV. It has lots of room in the trunk, which can be expanded by putting the back seats down. It has very comfortable and roomy seats. The maintenance on the Patriot is very minimal and easy. It is extremely safe in a crash.

likeFilled Dillon T.

The Jeep patriot runs very well and also gets great gas mileage. It is also available in 4 wheel drive. It comes in many different colors and is a great family car for when you first get married or for a single person.

likeFilled Kevin C.

The pros of this vehicle would be the great gas mileage and the fact that I have had no major issue with the car. Would say it is very reliable. Get on average 20 city mpg and 25 Hwy mpg. Also has a spacious trunk.

likeFilled Abby G.

The car has a great overall interior composition as well as an easy to use sound system. The car also features leather seats. I also believe the car has an overall great performance. The sound system is amazing as well.

likeFilled Ashton W.

Spacious, easy to drive, usability of a larger four wheel drive vehicle but with the convenience of a smaller vehicle. Back seats fold all the way down providing more space. Comfortable seats and steering wheel making a good driver for long trips.

likeFilled Kati W.

The pros of my vehicle first and foremost is that it is great in the snow. I live in an area that relies on being able to travel in the snow and I love that jeep offers four wheel drive options. I also love the gas mileage. I never have to spend too much to fill up my tank.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Eve M.

There are not many cons but a lack of space is one of them. I also do not really like the lack of variety in color options and one more thing that I would consider to be a con is the gas mileage. And another con is the size.

dislikeFilled Jen M.

Cons are they are not made for the elderly, they are very hard to get in and out of the vehicle, will always need assistance for the safety of your dear elderly. Getting a step stool would be a grande idea for this jeep.

dislikeFilled Haley S.

Unfortunately there are a few cons to the Jeep Patriot. There are no power locks or windows. It is crank windows, which are not the best. It does not have too many features, but that is also what I paid for. The low gas sign is also tricky. If your gas light comes on, you better hope you are at a gas station.

dislikeFilled Dillon T.

The is limited space on the inside of the car and can be cramped for a bigger person. The seats do fold down to a flat back for storage but then the front seats will not slide back very far due to the headrest of the back seats.

dislikeFilled Kevin C.

I do not like how hard it is to fit five people in the car. Even though it is a five person car it truly only hold four comfortably as it has a large cup holder where the person in the middle seat sits making it very uncomfortable for everyone in the back.

dislikeFilled Abby G.

The engine cuts out pretty frequently, the car does not heat up quick, the aux component is very selective when it wants to work, there is also something wrong with the blower selection. The pictures do not match where the heat comes from.

dislikeFilled Ashton W.

Some cons are depending what terrain you are driving the gas mileage is not the best. Somewhat boxy car meaning in extremely windy conditions there is a great amount of draft. I have had an issue with the windows not sealing all the way shut.

dislikeFilled Kati W.

The cons of my vehicle are very simple ones. I do not like that I do not have heated seats but that is an available option that jeep offers so I could have chosen a model with heated seats included. I also wish the engine would accelerate quicker but that is just because I am impatient and like to drive fast.

Is The 2014 Jeep Patriot A Good Car?

Yes. This car handles very well, has a pretty tight turn radius, is very responsive in regards to acceleration and braking, very reliable, perfect size for a full family.
Sarah F.
Yes. It has not failed me at all. The suspension is a but roof in the edges. Taking the dips feel like a rock. But other than that it is a good vehicle. Good on mileage.
Baltaz P.
Yes it is a good vehicle, especially for first timers. Very smooth and does not waste too much gas...
Idaly D.
It is an average vehicle. Has some nice options if you can upgrade and provided it is the 4 wheel drive version (not the two wheel drive) it is worth considering as a midsize SUV.
Lauren A.
I love my jeep, I have had it for almost 4 years and I have never had any major issues. I do not think the gas mileage is the best, but overall it is a very reliable car and I enjoy it.

The suspension is a bit rough. When hitting a dip the whole car seems stiff. Or if there are potholes. The whole car shakes. Also there is not much space in the trunk.

Yes it is very reliable, I haven't had any problems with my jeep for now. I recommend this car to anyone.
Idaly D.
As long as the vehicle is maintained, it is reliable. The repairs are not any more expensive than any other American made vehicle.
Lauren A.
I think it is very reliable. I haven't had any issues with it thus far. The gas mileage is a little low but I think the car is worth it.
hannah k.
It doesn't have any problems. We thought the alignment was off but even then it just turned out that there was mud in the undercarriage causing it to veer to the side.

Is The 2014 Jeep Patriot A Good Value?

The cost for the vehicle is good compared to the mileage that it gets per gallon. It fits 5 passengers and it is high enough so older people do not have trouble getting off the SUV.
Baltaz P.
It cost about $9000 since it was a pre owned car but it was as good as new. It is a great model. Haven't had any problems with it.
Idaly D.
It is overpriced for what the vehicle actually delivers. The jeep name is what carries the higher price tag.
Lauren A.
My parents got the car for me, so I am not sure how much it costs. They did buy it though, not lease it, and we have a couple other cars so I am assuming it is of good value.
hannah k.
I believe that my partner paid 16,000 for it. He bought it used. But it was a good value for the vehicle.
Katie H.
I paid $8000 for mine because it was a wreck/rebuild but it is worth more. How much more depends on what features it has, mine is basic
Lacey D.
I am not quite sure how much I paid for my Patriot but I believe at the time it was reasonable. It was at least 15,000. I believe it is a good value. It runs very well and has never given me any major... Read More
