Wranglers old vs new, from a lifetime Wrangler owner.
2015 Jeep Wrangler
Comfort and feature are great compared to early 2000's Wranglers. Although, I do miss the rugged and compact feel of the older Wrangler. Compared to other Jeeps, Wranglers can be modified and personalized to a person's fit, very much building the car of you dreams. All I ever buy are Jeeps, they are reliable in general and equipped to handle all types of weather. For the most part, Wranglers are my favorite of the Jeeps. I do find pros and cons between newer models versus older models. The overall look of older Wranglers I prefer, it just appears to be less bulky than the newer ones, but as mentioned before the newer ones have features that are great to have this day and age. I am hoping the newer Wrangler if not already, will feature heated steering wheels. Another feature that would be great, especially for off-roaders is to change the flooring or matting to weathertech like technology. The older Wranglers did not have carpets just the paneling and newer ones carry carpets. Lining the vehicle with some kind of rubber matting instead of carpet, specifically to the 2 door Wrangler would make my 4 wheeling adventures easier. I will not have to worry about the clean up or dry of the carpet. Overall, the vehicle has performed well and the amount of mileage I know I can get out of the vehicle makes it a good purchase. With variation of Jeeps, I do not fearing having to go to another make to find what I am looking for.
