I love my Kia's gas mileage and handling!
I really love my Kia optima hybrid mostly because I get such great gas mileage. The car also handles very well around turns and offers a soft and quiet ride. The quality of its construction has been surprisingly very good. I have never had a Kia before this car but would definitely but another in the future.

Kia optima, excellent car.
Problems: a few recalls. Performance: excellent gas mileage and safety features. Reliability: very reliable. Comfort: very comfortable seats, very cold air conditioner and very warm heater. Features: I love the XM radio. Very good safety features in the back seat, for child safety.

Exactly what I wanted: great performance, mileage, creature comforts.
I wish the Bluetooth/uvo was upgradeable to a better system. It works fine to pair with phone to take calls and play music or podcasts, but I wish it had google auto. Car performs well, 35 mpg Ave. Comfortable, drives well with great pickup and a spirited engine. No spare keeps it light but does have a 'tire mobility kit' if you get a flat.

This 2013 Kia optima hybrid is a beautiful car!
I love this car! Very sporty looking, comfortable to drive and the gas mileage is awesome! The only complaint or complaints I have is that I have had guys complain the passenger seat is uncomfortable for them the way the seat back is shaped their shoulders are too wide. And the backup camera screen has horrible resolution, it's very hard to see. Even after cleaning the camera lens.

My favorite part is that it on average gets 35 miles per gallon.
My 2012 Kia optima hybrid is out of this world. It is my second car and I do not plan on getting another one any time soon. I love everything about it and it drives so smooth and has such great gas mileage. The color is a crisp grey with beautiful cloth interior. It is beautiful and I love it very much.

Hybrid uses less gas and goes far
The hybrid aspect of the car is amazing. However there are some hiccups with certain parts. I had to have a special clock spring replaced and it is responsible for a lot of the hybrid management. For such a small piece it was pretty pricey. Some parts you wouldn't find on a normal gas-only vehicle come into play that most consumers wouldn't be aware about.

Great efficient car for many needs.
Super fuel efficient, very comfortable (especially for tall people driving) the finishes are nice especially for the price of the car. I have only had one issue which was after I had owned for 4 years was the need for a new pressurized water pump which was about $1k, but no other issues.

A Kia Hybrid is the way to go!
I love driving a hybrid. I drive a lot between SC and NC and I will fill up in SC on a Sunday and by sat in NC I am just getting to half a tank. So it's great on gas. Also I love how quiet it is. Most times you can't even tell that it is on. I have lots of features that I love! From the heated and cooled seats, heated steering wheel, sunroof and it has a great speakers as well. I love my Kia hybrid.

My car has double sunroofs and rides smooth.
My vehicle does not really have any issues. I have double sunroofs, 4 cylinder, a backup camera, & heated seats. The interior is black and the exterior is grey. I really love my car. It takes about $20 to fill up the tank which is not much on a weekly basis.

Love my hybrid: coolest mom vehicle ever.
The vehicle was fine before hitting 140k miles. It was driven state to state multiple times. It is equipped with comfortable bucket seats and I have seat warmers and coolers. The trunk is spacious and allowed for a lot of space for my event planning tools. I have no complaints.

My little road buddy that drives smooth.
2013 Kia optima hybrid drive like a dream. I have owned it for about 5 years now. It is mostly used as a commuter vehicle. My drive to work is about a hour and 15 minutes. 30 miles going and 30 coming back home a total 60 miles a day for four days. Over 5 years I haven't any problems except having the beaks changed. It is a great vehicle.

A comfortable ride but too small for my family.
The Kia hybrid is a very comfortable and quiet ride. It's amazing how quiet it is! It also looks cute and has not given us any issues. I will say that it is too small for our family of four. I would definitely choose a Kia again in the future, however, I would go more for a Sportage. The optima has definitely made me warm to the 'hybrid' vehicle though.

I can fill my car up and drive on it for 2 weeks before having to fill up again
My vehicle has been great on gas and getting me to point a and point b. Unfortunately being that it operates off of an hybrid system when it rains my system tends to act up and have a system failure and it shuts off on me. Other than that it's a good car

2013 Kia optima hybrid ex.
I purchased this car in 2016 pre-owned as a fleet vehicle. I had driven nothing but Subaru so it was a tough decision to branch out but I loved how smoothly it drove. Also, I traveled for school and work so the hybrid aspect was a huge plus. Gas mileage normally sits around 29 to 35 mpg. I did have an issue with the engine about a year ago, but it was under warranty and completely replaced with no issue. Despite having the battery in the back, the trunk still has plenty of room and it served me well on a cross country move.

2013 Kia optima hybrid review.
I drive my car many miles a day and enjoy every bit of it. It's very reliable and great on gas. The comfort of the car can be questionable at times (at least for me) when driving for hours. I like the fact that I can take my car on and off of eco mode when driving and I really love how quiet my car is, sometimes it is a little too quiet. Overall, it is a really good car.

Pros from Owners

Good gas mileage phone hookup mp3 hook up very comfortable ride. Has all I need for hookups. This car is very sporty looking. It is very easy to drive.. You cannot beat the gas mileage. 42 Miles per gallon on a road trip.

I love my Kia Optima Hybrid! I have had it for almost 4 years now and I have had almost zero issues. The pros are great fuel mileage, saving money and the EX has all the interior features that you would want. The cons are at around 100k miles the hybrid battery will need to be replaced. This may cost a bit of money to do.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Terri L.

It is very low to the ground. The doors are very big. It is hard to reach the door handle to close it once you get in. It is not very good in the snowy weather. It is very light and wants to slide around on the roads. That is why I have the infinity for winter weather driving.

dislikeFilled Samantha S.

The biggest con is that the Hybrid battery will need to be replaced and this could be a bit pricey. Standard is around 100k miles however, my vehicle has $97k miles and the battery is still strong. Also, if you are looking for vehicle that will accelerate 0-60 mph in a short amount of time then this is not for you.

Allie C.
So far it’s been pretty reliable. Only had to replace the battery once and never had any other problems. With the exception of tires but that wasn't related to the car

Is The 2013 Kia Optima Hybrid A Good Value?

It is around $11,000-$13,000 which for me is an amazing price. It is great quality and every much compensatable.
V F.
My optima hybrid cost $13,000, with around 50,000 miles (if I remember correctly) I feel like it has been a great value.
Diego M.
My Kia optima was used, and costed $6,300. I was very pleased with the price and mileage of the vehicle.
A W.
The coat was definitely worth the value I got and the savings on gas makes up and more for what I save on gas.
Milesb S.
It was in the mid 20’s and was a fair value. There was 0% financing from the dealership which made it more worthwhile.
Yuan Z.
I didn't buy new but used and paid $15000 dollars. I would say it’s good value because I have saved a lot on gas and didn’t have a lot of repairs to have done
