I have own my 2013 Kia optima for about five years now. I bought it used in 2015. It has been a very reliable and dependable vehicle. I have kept up with the routine maintenance, of course. I love driving it because it handles really well. I would highly recommend the Kia optima as an excellent investment.

My vehicle is a nice size sedan it is a grayish color with rims it has legal.
There has been a few hiccups with my car such as basic car issues like changing the tires, oil changes, windshield motor went out, and my whole engine cut off due to a recall on the car. Batteries in the car has also given me problems throughout the years.

Saving gas especially when you are on a budget is always the best! Smooth rides.
Depending how many miles you have on your vehicle you may want to check your oil & basic do it yourself changes. This car saves a ton of gas because I travel far sometimes and road trips we took a long one and filled up once the whole time that is how good the gas is. I love this car!

The keyless mobile tanning machine.
It is stylish, ergonomically designed and has the panoramic sunroof that I absolutely love. The other thing that I love is the keyless push button. Entry and ignition system. It does not get the mpg it is supposed to and it could have a little more zip but all in all it looks add runs very well.

Kia optima pros and cons!
Had to replace the engine within a few months of buying a brand new car. I had to go to the dealership a few times before they understood what the problem was. The 10 year warranty is a huge plus! Besides the engine problem, it has been running great.

2013 Kia optima positives and negatives.
Very comfortable, great gas mileage, has power, love the heated,/ cooled front seats, also the heated back seats, the double sunroof, awesome sound system for the radio, has Bluetooth, GPS, only negative issues is the GPS needs updated and I believe you have to pay to have it updated, also had one recall for the gas line.

Great details on the Kia optima.
Love the heated and cooled seats and the heated steering wheel. It has a built in garage door/gate door opener you can connect to your property for easy entrance. I love the feature of saving the seat placement on the driver's seat for easy adjustment!

Kia has great mileage to save on gas expenses.
Kia has good mileage, low on gas expenses, and I like to eco option to save on mileage. I have access to Bluetooth and XM radio on my mornings drives. Reliable vehicle with low maintenance. Smooth driving and comfortable sitting for long road trips again great with mileage.

Roomy and comfy. Love the style of the body.
Lots of recalls on engine pieces. Vehicle is very comfy. Due to engine recalls, it now has a limited lifetime warranty, which is nice. Features on the vehicle are amazing for a 2013. Very roomy, trunk space nice. My favorite is the stereo system and the panoramic sunroof.

I love all the high end features of this car without the high price tag.
The Kia optima is a great car. The only major thing I have had to fix on it was the ac went out and needed a new compressor. Also, the m. Heated steering wheel is broken and needs a whole new column. I love all the luxury upgrades this car has, backup cam, Sirius radio, Bluetooth, heated and cooled seats, moonroof and moveable side mirrors. It is an easy car to drive and it feels safe.

I absolutely love my Kia optima. I have never had any problems with my car. It came with a lifetime warranty. You cannot go wrong purchasing this car. I keep the oil changed and tires rotated. I would most definitely recommend this car to anyone. It is a great car if you have children. There is plenty of room.

Two minor complaints still owned several.
I have owned 3 Kia optimas in the past 5 years and only have 2 minor complaints. The first is the radio. It has connection issues when working with Bluetooth and can become an annoyance. Also in the rain the car hydroplanes very easily regardless of the tires that are on it. In my experience it does wonderful in the snow. I have never had major issues with the car and Kia is wonderful about taking care of recalls. The car also has a very spacious trunk and back seat!

My Kia optima is a very comfortable, reliable and fuel efficient vehicle.
I have had no vehicle problems with my Kia. I find it to be a very reliable vehicle. My car is very comfortable and has several added features which I enjoy. It looks very sleek, has cruise control, GPS, Bluetooth, heated and cooled front seats long with heated rear seats. It has driver seat memory and a heated steering wheel. My Kia also has a sunroof in the front and a moonroof in the rear. The trunk capacity is roomy and the rear seats fold down to extend the capacity. My car also has automatic windows and the side mirrors are powered so that I can fold them in when parking, my Kia also has 2 modes for driving; normal and eco which extends my mileage.

Not terrible in the snow with some good tires.
Breaks wear easily so I have to change them constantly, the engine light always on for ridiculous reasons. There were 7 different recalls on the engine and when I went to make an appointment to fix their recalls, I had to wait 3 months for an appointment.

Solid, comfortable car but too many recalls.
Our optima has been a solid performer since we bought it in 2014. No mechanical issues and always ready to go and has an extremely comfortable ride. There are many unique features compared to other cars I have owned. The only issue up until now is that they have recalled it for 3 separate potential problems. I appreciate that they are proactive but would really like to not have that many design issues.

Heated steering wheel? Yes please!
My Kia optima was a great upgrade from my last car. The seats are customizable to height and even back support, which makes for a comfortable ride no matter how long or short. The steering wheel and seats are heated which is a plus for this northerner. I also appreciate the rear-view camera which helps me feel safer when backing up in a busy parking lot.

Great car, reliable easy on gas and stylish.
I love my Kia optima. It is great on gas, gets great gas mileage. We live out in a rural area and it gets great gas mileage. Very smooth ride. Roomy we have three kids and they fit in the back seat nice and comfortable. We have had no major issues as of yet either.

I bought the car since 2015 never give me any huge problem. The only ”problem” is not really problems is tuneup and oil changes. Extremely reliable and drives smoothly. Very big space for a small car. Do not need lots of gas. I love it so much I am thinking of buying the newest model.

Reliable and spacious vehicle.
Very comfortable with Bluetooth compatibility. Smooth riding and very spacious. Love the chrome edition; very unique to others. Extremely reliable with minor typical car maintenance. This vehicle did have two recalls, for engine and for steering column. Both recalls were easy to fix.

Turbocharged sled of awesomeness.
My 2013 Kia optima sxl gdi is simply put an amazing vehicle. I would recommend this vehir to anybody who actually enjoys their driving experience. For starters it's got a 274 horsepower turbocharged gas direct injected motor that has plenty of power whenever you need it. Whether it's zipping around the city all day or tearing up the highways by night this car will surely impress. Speaking of impress the all black interior with carbon fiber inlays is nothing short of impressive. It is all around an amazing vehicle and like I said if you enjoy driving then this is the one for you.

Kia optima, new or used is great!
Has had a recall but a new engine was put in for free so I have no real complaints. Not the best in the show but it is doable. I live in Cheyenne Wyoming so that kind of gives you an idea. Great acceleration and speed, definitely a fast car! The inside is very nice and fancy, also I love that everything's pretty much heated, including the steering wheel!

2013 Kia optima - wouldn’t recommend.
Since buying my car, I have had a lot of problems. The brakes squeak (even after getting them fixed), the car has rusted very badly, and in the past 3 years, I have had to get at least $4000 worth of work. I bought my car used so the owner before me may have beat it up. On the bright side, Kia has sent me at least 10 recalls in the mail (everything from engine problems to door handle) to allow me to bring my car in and get it fixed for free.

Kia optima is very reliable.
The car runs great and has a smooth ride. All I have had to do is get oil changes and tire changes and it is still fine 7 years later. There’s been a few minor recalls but nothing too bad. The gas mileage on the highway is great but the city mileage is sub par. Overall would say the car is a great value.

My Kia optima is my all time favorite vehicle!
I bought my optima about a year ago used off of a family friend. It had nearly 155,000 miles on the car already which I had no problem with. I have had to do little maintenance on the car which had minimal cost! The car drives extremely smooth and has some amazing features such as Bluetooth, back up camera, and large trunk space. I have only put about 20,000 miles on the car and she still drives amazing! I would recommend an optima to anyone and everyone if they want a smooth driving dependable car!

One of the best performing sedans.
The only problem I have had with the car is the steering wheel controls seem to be giving out 60% of the time. The car is fast and I mean feast, with the turbocharger you do not feel like you are driving a sedan but more of a race car, the reliability is great drove 30,000 miles the first year with absolutely no problems, very comfortable and sound system is great. Overall I would rate my Kia optima sxl 9/10.

I like the everything about the car! I haven't had any issue with it at all. One thing I will mention is if you live in a cold weather place the doors and windows freeze very easily does not take a very low temperature so I find that annoying a little bit.

Love my Kia optima! Only one small issue.
I love my Kia optima but the one thing I have had a problem with is every now and then there is some sort of electrical problem where my locks will give me a hard time. They will lock and then immediately unlock on their own. After a few tries it finally stops and will not do it for a long time. Everything else about the car is really great though and I would definitely recommend this car!

2013 Kia optima car review.
It is a great car to own. I'drives really good. I have never had any major problems with the car. Love the interior. It is spacious and roomy. The only thing I wish is the back of the car was a little higher. It makes it hard for taller people to get in the back of the car.

Very unsafe in bad weather.
Kia's are decent enough cars, I did not have any major problems until the 100, 000 mile mark (which is to be expected I guess) my throttle needed to be replaced and my tire rod. These cars are not good in the snow at all!

My Kia optima has been very reliable for the seven years that I have had it. My biggest complaint is the lowness of the car. It can be a challenge to get into and out of the car. I do like the mileage per gallon that I get in my optima. I have not had any major issues to date.

My 2013 Kia optima is very reliable. It is very spacious inside and very detailed. The dashboard is set up very nicely. And the push to start makes everything better. I love the color of my car. It comes with Bluetooth installed and Sirius XM radio. Great gas mileage.

Great car, lots of features, highly recommend.
I have yet to have any problems with my car. It is a fully loaded full sized sedan. Heated and cooled seats, heated steering wheel, navigation system, back up camera and paramaniac sunroof. It is super comfortable, I have driven from Florida to Missouri and back with no problems and no complaints.

Great gas mileage per gallon.
I love my Kia optima. It has great gas mileage and I usually get around 500 miles per tank. It has a sun roof / moon roof as well as seat warmers and coolers in the front and back seats. I'drives smoothly and I have yet to run into any problems created by the manufacturer.

My Kia has been a great vehicle. I have had it 6 years. The only thing I has to do to it is buy a battery. I do have oil changes and maintenance. I have about 78000 miles and will keep it as long as there are no problems. It still runs like a new one.

Much better ride than you would expect.
The smoothest and quietest car I have ever driven. Has good power and good gas mileage at over 30 mpg. No real complaints other than the leather on the steering wheel is starting to wear out.

Kia is a nice car to drive and would be a great car for a first time driver, it is a 2013 and does not have any problems, great in gas miles would recommend a Kia to own, the seats are completely comfortable. Only that seems to be a issue sometime there’s a blind spot backing up.

I do not have any mechanical problems with my car other than the steering wheel breaking away from its panel and the electricity on the drivers side disabling my drivers side windows in the front and rear. I enjoy the anti brake locks and the inflated tire notification and the car is great on gas!

Comfort in a comfortable size.
The car is great. It is seats are comfortable whether it be a short drive or a long one the car is relaxing to drive in. The structure of the car is very good making it easy to drive. The windshield is durable and reliable. It is also easy to clean the car inside and out. It does not have any system problems outside of routine things that need changed.

Honest review of my 2014 Kia optima.
I purchased my 2014 Kia optima 3 years ago. Since then I have driven over 40,000 miles without any issues. My car is comfortable and reliable. The Kia optima seems to me to be the best size of all other Kia vehicles- the back seat is spacious. I was a nanny to two toddlers and had both their car seats comfortably and safely in the back. I would recommend the Kia optima to anyone!!

Amazing Kia car handles well.
My Kia optima is absolutely amazing on gas. The pedals are very sensitive which makes one very good at pedal control on the roads. The vehicle has a backup camera which is very helpful for backing up safely. It has Bluetooth capabilities and a touch screen home interface. Heated and cooled seats make winter and summer days comfortable for your butt. The Kia optima has very nice handling as well. I would 100% recommend the optima as a main use car.

Not enough space for the excellent performance.
I am really satisfied with the usage of gas, it is very efficient. My only issues really is based in space and size. I have always driven more of the SUV)truck type vehicles that have adequate space for luggage especially when traveling. I am satisfied with the overall performance, it rides just as smooth as my best friend's Lexus.

Handel's gray and has good gas mileage very comfortable to drive.
At 108000 miles had to get new engine, however, had a warranty so I got the engine for free. Also, had problem with fuel injection, but also covered by warranty. Car handles great and has good gas mileage. Car is very comfortable to drive however, passenger seat is really low.

Comfy and spacious vehicle with cool a/c!
The car is really comfortable to drive in and it is very smooth. It is a spacious sedan and it is pretty good on gas. The trunk is also very spacious. Living in southwest Florida the heat can be unbearable, but the a/c is really cool. After some years the air wasn't as cold and we had to get that fixed.

Absolutely wonderful — always gets me where I need to go!
I do not have any problems with my vehicle. The overall performance of my vehicle is wonderful! There was a recall on my engine — if the small piece instead of your engine was broken, you got a brand new engine, which I ended up getting a brand new one & didn't have to pay a penny. My vehicle is so comfortable, it is the perfect size for me. My vehicle is very reliable. If has great gas mileages & always gets me to where I need to go!

It is got a hiding place for money.
It is very reliable. I just got the motor fixed because of a recall and the steering wheel fixed for a customer satisfaction recall. Everything works great. I love that it is a push button Start but I wish it had a sunroof. I got it when I was 16 and I have loved it ever since. It is been a great first car and it is fabulous on gas.

Some problems but overall great vehicle.
Has had some problems. Engine was recalled, but Kia replaced it for me. The tire pressure sensor is sensitive, so most of the time, it says low, even though it is not. The car is extremely comfortable and drives well. I like the heated and air conditioned seats. The care comfortably fits all of my family.

Honestly... I was surprised by even how much I liked it!
Overall, I really like the car. It is great with gas when on economy mode. While the seats “stain” with water drops from rain - they also wipe clean with a baby wipe from any other kind of stain! I do not love that the back seats do not come with floor mats & there was not a spare tire.

I truly like the turbo feature on the highway
Right now, there is an issue with the turbo feature. It may be the wastegate based on research with will cost under $300 to repair. I love the space, the features, and the overall appearance. It makes me want the new version. It is very reliable and great on gas.

It has heated seats which are nice. But it also has heated back seats.
My car is loaded with awesome features and extras. But the car itself has lots of problems. A piece off of my sunroof came flying out and now the sunroof will not open. Also there is now oil leaking from the motor and I had it analyzed on a machine to show any codes of things wrong and it shows the timing is going out. I have had so many problems with this car. I will never buy another Kia!

Hybrid is the way to go. The optima is the best of both worlds.
I have never run into major problems I have 170,000 miles on it and there’s never given me any trouble. Being a hybrid it gets about 40 miles to the gallon consistently and has plenty of power between the gas and electric engine. I suppose one downside is the mileage on the freeway is not really any better than that around town and stayed about 40 miles to a gallon.

The pricing and value of the Kia Optima is superb.
The Optima runs really with a smooth engine. It is a great mid size car and very sleek and attractive. There is so much leg room in the backseat and trunk is deep and large. Moonroof is a plus and comes in handy when you don't always want to run the a/c.

SXL turbo is the car to have for those who love stylish cars!
I love the turbo engine on my SXL and the full moonroof. It rides quiet and fast. I've had a problem with the navigation a couple of times freezing, but it doesn't register in the system when I bring it in. It is a fun car to drive and my stepson loves the sport shift.

This is a very dependable vehicle.
It is very comfortable for long trips. Only problem I had with it was covered under a recall warranty, but it bearings in the engine wearing and it ceased the motor. I love the features that the premium package has. Heated and cooling seats in the front, heated steering wheel, cruise control, panorama sunroof. I love it all!

Great car for singles or families.
Other than having to replace the steering column, this Kia has held up great. It has a big gas tank, decent/average gas mileage, stylish, efficient, decent amount of space, smooth driving, seat heating available, decent stock speakers. I have had the car for 7 years and have only had to replace the battery once, tires twice, and oil as recommended.

It is a professional looking car for a reasonable price. I do not like that it does not have a spare tire, only a tire fix kit. The back-up camera does not work all the time. It does get great gas mileage and for my first car that I purchased myself, it was the right choice.

I really like my car. Originally I was considering an Optima and a Nissan Altima but ended up liking the Optima more and it had more features than the Altima. Cheaply made
I would avoid this vehicle. I am glad that all these other people live this car, but it has been one headache after another. I had to replace the door actuator on the front drivers side, this caused the lock not to work when you lock with the keyfob and resulted in my car getting broken into twice. Now the rear drivers door will not open from the outside, so its got to be something wrong internally. Its not the child lock, i already checked. The backup camera stopped working, appearantly this is a common issue due to water getting in. The entire center console went out for a few weeks but came back, the fog lights stopped working, the speakers stopped working for a few days and came back, and now the car won't accept any external media. Obviously this is a widespread electrical problem not a bunch of individual issues but why does my care have all this stuff breaking under 80k miles? Maybe i got a lemon but the interior quality is also low class. There is cheap plastic everywhere, even the premium models were cheap feeling. I also had the plastic cover for the reading light break. Maybe I'm a little too critical on the interior but i can't stand cheap plastic in a car. I will not be buying a kia in the future.

Kia is a reliable car and good for the price.
The vehicle performs well, I haven't had any issues. I have only needed to change the brake pads because they reached the service limit, and replace a tie rod. The mechanic said the tie rods on Kia's tend to wear down easily. All in all it is a good car with no issues.

I feel comfortable driving my Kia.. I sit perfect in the seat.. I love my rear view camera, I can see both sides of the road and straight back.. My steering is perfect.. I am not a tall person my seat adjusts perfectly for my height. I also love the automatic light system on and off never have to worry about my lights or wearing my battery down..

Great car and built to last.
Honestly, this car drives very smoothly and has excellent gas mileage. It has Bluetooth capabilities, although as a 2013 it is not as fancy as newer models. I really enjoy the sunroof and the ac/heat settings (especially the heated seats in front and back) all work great. Personally I just would like a car that is higher up, as I am short. I am also looking to upgrade to an SUV as our family is growing.

Beautiful interior and exterior
This is a really good first car to buy. Especially for the younger audience. Most young people want a beautiful, luxury, and sporty car and that's all that this vehicle is. It's a beautiful fast car that most people will enjoy to drive. The interior is as beautiful as the exterior with beautiful leather seats and wooden handles.

My Kia has a ton of space inside and inside the trunk, and it is great on gas.
I have owned my Kia for 3 years now and it definitely has not disappointed. It is great on gas, has good mileage, and great for traveling! Has great interior as well as exterior! My Kia has plenty of car space and even more trunk space. If you are looking to get a new car I highly suggest a Kia.

Kia optima - love my car!
I have had my Kia optima for over 3 years now and haven't had any problems. My gas mileage is 29+ mpg and has some kick to it at the same time. I love having a turbo engine as its fast to take off and holds speed really well and smoothly. I would recommend a Kia to anyone as I believe they are great cars and hold their value impeccably.

It is not expensive, the payments.
The ride is always smooth. Maintenance on it is low. The Kia is the perfect size for my family. Also the trunk space is amazing. Overall it was the perfect car while transitioning from a SUV.

Great value and reliable while also being fun to drive and own.
I have had this vehicle from new and done close to 90000 trouble free miles. The only money I have spent on it have been oil changes and new tires and brake pads. It is about as loaded with options as a car can be and only cost around $25k.

Engine recall, but love Kia.
Initially when I bought my car it had an engine problem turns out the engine was being recalled so Kia had to take it in and fix it so I was therefore left with a rental car for six plus months. However, since then my Kia has been running great and has got my family and I places safely and gas efficient.

Great car for many years!
No issues until it hit 100k miles. However, there was an engine recall and the car now has a brand new one. The only other issue has been the oil line in the car which was replaced at 112k miles. It still is in great shape at 136k miles! It is smooth driving and I really enjoy all the seat and driving features.

Great city car with a lot of legroom.
This car is a great car for the city. Great gas mileage and plenty of legroom in the back. I enjoy the sporty and cute look. The only thing that I do not like about this car is how low the front bumper is to the ground, I scrape a lot going over small bumps in the road.

It's not an expensive car. And for the price it does a good job.
It is not a very powerful vehicle. It is pretty comfortable. I have a family of five and we fit fine. It has air conditioning conduct for the back seats which make the ride better on a hot day or cold day if you want to warm up. I have notice that when it gets too hot outside the air conditioner struggles a little bit to cool off. Sometimes after taking long trips on a hot sunny day the air conditioner kind of gives up and stops working for some time or until the car cools off again.

Kia Optima, great on gas minor manufacturing issues
This car is Good on gas. Issues with key getting stuck in ignition. This car can accelerate fast and it's easy to control. I had to replace the battery after about a year but that last replacement has lasted two years and counting. I love the back up camera but sometimes it goes out and sometimes the radio goes out and you can't unfreeze it unless you disconnect the battery.

Pro Kia, reliability and good pricing.
The only problem that I have had with my car is the compressor for my air conditioner went out. Based on my cars age, it should have lasted a lot longer. Gets great gas mileage of 26 mpg to 28 mpg. It is comfortable, handles great. Most options are standard on this car including a heated steering wheel and seats. Also cooling seats.

It is a fun car to drive but I will never buy another Kia.
My 2013 white Kia optima sxl has a faulty primer which causes the paint to chip. Of course, by the time it started to chip, the warranty had expired. Kia has refused to acknowledge the problem and will not correct their mistake. The paint has worn off all along the trunk, all four doors (right below the window) and around the sunroof sides. I have spent close to $4,000 repainting the vehicle as the car would rust without it. I considered selling the car but I would not be able to receive any money for it due to half of the paint peeling off.

2013 Kia optima with Bluetooth touch screen radio.
The car is nice but my model does not have many of the “luxury” details in a car many people would want such as a sunroof, leather seats, only one seat is remote operated and only one window is automatic which is not the greatest. No heated seats etc. It has nice options such as Bluetooth and touch screen radio, steering wheel buttons, and autopilot.

This car is an all around great car. Big, comfortable, and fast.
This car has been very reliable for me and my family. I have driven this car across country four times and have had no serious problems other than normal wear and tear. Tires, brakes, oil change etc! This car is very smooth on the road and is a quick fun ride on a Sunday afternoon.

2013 Kia Optima - Great Car
I really enjoy my car. It drives really smooth. It accelerates really quickly and the horsepower is a big plus for me. It's decent on gas and I love the sporty look. I do wish I would have gone up a trim and gotten leather seats because my dogs have definitely ruined the light cloth seats the LX has. Overall, a great car!

Great car, it runs very well.
The car is great. We recently had a huge problem though, they call it sudden catastrophic engine failure. The engine was starved of oil and caused it to seize and throw a rod through the bottom of the engine. We are looking into an engine recall because this is not an isolated event.

Kia optima: my favorite car.
It's very comfortable & I love my car. It does not have any issues as far as I have known. It isn't a super fast car. But it definitely gets up to speed. Good brakes & does not take much to fill up the gas tank. That is why I am in love with car. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

The car has a really good stereo.
It is been very reliable, extremely comfortable, and just a great car to drive. The gas mileage is pretty average but it makes up for that by being surprisingly roomy, comfortable, with a nice stereo as well. All in all, a pretty great car; I have even considered upgrading to a newer model because I like it so much.

Feels like luxury as a day-driving cost and superior customer care.
A recall notice was issued and Kia paid for it in full, the rental car while the work was done and replaced some things to make the car more reliable overall. It is also one of the least expensive cars that has air-conditioned seats, very important in the us south. Their customer service has been impeccable.

Great speed, affordable to keep fixed luxury car. Great to drive for a couple.
What I love about my car is that it gets up and go when I am ready to spend. And to me the cost keeping fix is not high at all it is very affordable. I have it going on 2 years I want to upgrade same car new year. Kia optima are good cars to me I would tell anyone to get one.
