The only con has been that when it was new, the check engine light kept coming on and we had to take it to the dealership to fix it. Pros?...It was just the light itself that was faulty. It was fixed for free and we even got a free rental car while it was being repaired. Very reliable, nice looking car. I would buy another.
It has the power to get up and go when you need it to and it is a comfortable ride. It has decent gas mileage for an older vehicle. The stock sound system is not bad. My kids fit in the back seat comfortable. It has a good amount of cargo space and has been reliable.
The pros of this vehicle it is a hatchback I feel like that gives more for grocery shopping or just shopping in general. It is very compact but still has room. I love that interior was black and not leather, it makes it easier to remove stain from the seats.
When I bought it for good mileage, 4 doors, air conditioning, CD player, and automatic power steering. The car is 4 cylinder engine. With an am/FM stereo radio. This car seats five people. Plus has four moveable headrests.
The Kia Rio I own is a very reliable vehicle. It has a hatchback which is very easy for storage purposes. The car also has pretty good gas mileage, and it does not take a lot of money to fill up the tank. The car is spacious.
When I first purchased the vehicle I had 3 sensors go bad in 3 months. The warranty covered them but I was still without transportation to work for a number of days. Other than that it gets good gas mileage and has run good since.
It is small enough to fit into tight spaces and very maneuverable. It has good reaction time so that I can counter any traffic situations I am in. It also has a great turn radius, and I can easily make sharp corners and angle properly out of parking spaces and small areas. It is easy to drive, fun to drive, and great on gas mileage.
Just that we had trouble with the check engine light... NOT the engine, just the light. Great car. Fantastic warranty and service. I really cannot think of any other cons. It is been a great car. The light coming on was startling.
When it does break down the repairs are expensive. I have had to teach myself how to do the repairs so I can afford to keep the car running. It will only be big enough for a little while longer as my kids are growing up and will not fit in the backseat much longer. It is good for 2 people but adults will not fit in the back comfortable.
I do not like the outside interior I would prefer a different color. I wish that the car was just a little bit lifted and that the car could hold more gas per mileage. I do not like how the ceiling of the vehicle is easy to accumulate stains.
There locks for the doors manually key unlocked. The car is too small, has manual hand operated side mirrors. The hood is hard to open for service. There is very little floor space or room for the knees except for very short or small people under five foot tall.
The cons of my Kia Rio would be the stereo. I replaced the stereo because it was outdated and did not have an aux cord. Also, the roll up windows and the manual locks on the doors is difficult when you have more than one person in the car. It is small inconveniences.
It is getting to be an older car now and so I worry about more things breaking down. I have recently lost the radio and the heater no longer works correctly. I also sometimes have issues with the steering column/ignition switch and starting the car. As long as I pull in straight before shutting the car off it seems to be ok.
There's not a lot of room, seating is limited. It does not have much power, and it is sometimes difficult to get moving. I can easily peel out instead of actually going anywhere when I have to step on the gas. It sometimes has a bit of a struggle getting up inclines and hills.
The 2007 Kia Rio has an average owner rating of 3.97 out of 5 which ranks it #20 of 25 other Small Cars.
