Reliable and very comfortable.
I honestly really love my Kia Rio! It is very comfortable and also a very reliable vehicle. Gas mileage is amazing too! One thing to look out for would be the catalytic converter since they do tend to go out after some time. Other than that I have zero complaints, very happy with my purchase.

Great car
I repeatedly get 6.0 l to a 100. Nothing gone wrong in 70000 km

The low cost of maintenance. Low cost on fuel. Runs great on roads.
No complaints. It has run very well for four years. Low maintenance. Low cost on gas. Great gas mileage.

Overall, this vehicle is a great car if you are looking to save money.
The Kia Rio is a great vehicle. I have had a Kia Rio for 7 years and have had no issues. I have only replaced the battery twice in the last 7 years. This vehicle is also great on gas. Only $20 to fill up. The ac works great. Especially living in Florida. I highly recommend this vehicle.

That it is reliable and super easy to drive plus it has great heat and air Love the comfort and dependability
It is great on gas, dependable and smooth riding. Has great air conditioner and really reliable- I love that I can scoot around town in it's compact size, easy parking and has plenty of comfort and room for a road trip
accountCircle Nicole S
That it is mid-size but is very roomy and gets excellent gas mileage and has tons of awesome features.
I like the extra features i made sure my car had, such as heated seats and a sunroof. My car has a backup camera that is great. My car has bluetooth which is extremely helpful, as is the built in nav. I love that it is a hatchback as well. This is the favorite of all the cars I've ever owned.

My pre-owned 2014 Kia Rio.
I bought my Kia Rio used with 12,500 miles and have added 8,000 more miles myself. I have taken it on multiple road-trips within my state. It has been a reliable, fuel efficient car. Seats are comfortable, the center console has a fair amount of storage, and it has quite a large trunk as well!

Blessed to have what I gave
Rough at about 75000 miles when you drive a lot they say in average you will pay about 8k to fix total in lifetime great gas mileage. Bigger on inside than what it looks on the outside like sitting in a small space ship. Not many for people over 6 ft tall

New style of rio sucks!!!
Hate it,not comfortable, sits low to ground.good mileage.old person car but reliable.hate the style!!

Does not cost much to get gas.
The car is decent it is just not for me. The tires always have low air in them. The number is falling off. The check engine light is always on. Basically there is always something wrong with my car. The only good thing about it is that when I go to get gas it cost 10-15 dollars each time to fill up completely.

Small subcompact sedan with ac, non Bluetooth radio and standard security feats.
I have plenty of issues with my transmission and it is bothersome. Difficulty getting up to speed, maintaining speed, and clunky noises coming from the vehicle when used on the interstate. Not happy with my purchase and would have chose otherwise if I had the chance.
accountCircle Payne E
Safety record and looks. Drives very easy with good visibility.
It is small very small and I am over paying for it. Does not have a lot of features. It is good on gas I can say. Hey gets me around that is good enough.
accountCircle Lin M
Great fuel economy but not great for family
The car gets great gas mileage and runs pretty well. The one issue we've had is it is very slow to accelerate when getting up to highway speeds. Back seat is pretty tight for 3 people so wouldn't recommend for 3 kids
accountCircle Tavia U
The Kia is a great compact car.
I am very happy purchase of the car. The car is great on gas. In 2 1/2 years I have only put 30,000 miles on it! Low gas mileage is always a plus. I hate that the car does not have powerlock entry or automatic windows. I do not like rolling them windows up and down or coming out of the door and have to turn a key to get in.
accountCircle Lydia K
If you have an iPhone you can hook it up to the car.
It gets me where I need to go, gets great gas mileage; however, there are no power locks or power windows, no Bluetooth.

Passenger seat too low, not comfortable to ride as a passenger.
What bothers me most about the car is not that the passenger seat sits very low. It makes it uncomfortable to not be able to completely see out the window. I like the gas mileage we get on the car.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Giulia R.

The car is super reliable and flexible for spacing. I love how she drives and makes me feel safe. Furthermore, the price is at a price point. Kia is going to be always in my family as a staple of reliable car of the house.

likeFilled Miranda H.

There's ample space inside the vehicle despite its small exterior. The gas mileage is great. Very dependable vehicle. The seats are comfortable and adjustable in terms of height. The power windows are also a luxurious plus.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Giulia R.

I would like to have a bigger car. This car is perfect for a solo trip or for a everyday life. But I would love to be able to put more things inside to take a road trip that would take more than a week.

dislikeFilled Miranda H.

The Kia Rio does not have a feature to adjust the front passenger seat in relation to height. It wouldn't be much of an issue if the seat wasn't so deep-set into the vehicle. I, a 5 foot 4 woman can hardly see over the dashboard when my fiance‚ and I are on the road.

Is The 2014 Kia Rio A Good Car?

Yes, it is a good vehicle. It rides nicely, it has never given me any issues. I enjoy the look of the car as well, it is sleek.
Valerie G.
Yes. I've had it 4 years and never had a problem. Very cold air conditioning and gear heat. Have never had to go anything to it except change the oil.
Jessica K.
Yes. Great gas mileage. Ac works fabulous and for a 4 cylinder engine it goes fast. Lots of room for 4 people to sit comfortably and even has reverse camera.
Kari W.
Yes it's very reliable. I have not had to make a lot of repairs to it in the 3 years I've had it. Highly recommended vehicle.
Joe L.

How Reliable Is The 2014 Kia Rio?

It is reliable, I have never had any issues with it in 3 years. I would consider purchasing another Kia because of it.
Valerie G.
I've had zero problems. Drive the car everyday and nothings very good reliable car and excellent on gas
Christina S.
The only thing is it doesn't come with a spare tire and it has to be purchased separately. It comes with a tiny compressor, but it won't help if your tire is shredded.
Mary G.
The only problems I've had in 3 years is the brakes. I've also only had to do routine maintenance. It was definitely worth the purchase.
A W.

Is The 2014 Kia Rio A Good Value?

It cost roughly $13,000 and it was an excellent value for my budget. It had 6000 miles on it already though.
Valerie G.
Not sure how much now. When I got mine it was 12000. That was 4 years ago so I'm sure they are even cheaper now
Tara T.
As of 2019 it was worth $9300 and that's with 45 thousand miles. It is a great value I personally believe. Its economical and can drive 300 miles on 3/4 a tank of gas
