Love the sound system when playing DVD’s. Sounds like you are at a theater.
Plenty of legroom for several passengers, love all the features, DVD player, amazing sound system, however CD player stopped working shortly after buying. Love the convenience of storage and being able to easily lay seats down if needing space to haul items. Rides very smooth and typical maintenance. Tires are not overly pricey when having to purchase.

I take care of my car regular maintenance oil change check fluids.
I love the Kia because even though it is a van, it still has good horsepower. The negative thing about my van is,the and rest broke off easily.

10/10 family van, great space, economic, lots of space.
Have had this minivan for 3 years never had any major complain about it the space is great. I really efficient in gas to my opinion drove from Dallas to San Antonio didn't spend that much on gas around $100 only. Is all around a great minivan. I definitely recommend buying it.

A great van at an affordable price
I love my Kia Sedona. It was purchased second hand but it was in excellent condition. It has performed without any problems and it drives smoothly and without effort. It has great acceleration, the air conditioning works well in the back which is important as the Kia has 2 rows of seats. The car is reliable and the seats are very comfortable. It has all the features that are important, the only thing missing from my Kia is a temperature gage.

Easy to drive and very safe.
Easy and comfortable to drive. Not too big or too small for the type of vehicle it is. The 3rd and back seats fold down to make room to carry things.

Roomy, comfortable, and all around great minivan!
I've had my Sedona for about 3 years and I love it! I bought if for the leg room for my tall older children. I keep one of the middle seats down so it is easy access to the back seats. The kids can sit back there and not feel cramped. I did have all the seats in it for a long time and even then the kids weren't cramped. I often fold all the seats down and use it as a closed truck. I've moved a whole house due to the room in it and being able to fit couches and beds inside. I have had to take it to the shop but it has been for recalls. There hasn't been any mechanical issue that I needed to fix. This van gets going fast. I often peel out because it is fast for a minivan. Getting on the highways and going from 20 mph to 70 mph is a breeze! I will definitely buy another Kia Sedona when it is needed!

I love my Kia Sedona so much
My Kia Sedona has so much room to fit all my needs. I love that it has a deep back storage area, and also allows the seats to store completely flat. My one complaint is that the Bluetooth will sometimes not connect. Once the vehicle is shut off and started again, the Bluetooth seems to connect just fine.

Great van for large families.
We got this van to fit my growing family. We have 2 adults (mom and dad) 4 boys (11,8,7,2) and just had a daughter last year. We can all comfortably fit in this vehicle with car seats and boosters. We have only had to keep up with the routine maintenance and nothing more. It is easy enough to fix and the parts are not really expensive. It is definitely a great investment overall.

Beware
Sadly I bought a kia sedona. Buyer beware. This vehicle has two timing chains. Cost to replace over 3000.00. About 3 to 4 times what most vehicles cost. I will never buy another kia nor should you.

Caution
Do not buy this vehicle. This Kia has two timing chains which need to be changed around 100,000 miles. Cost is over 3000.00. This is about 4 times the cost of other vehicles.

Passenger side door is jammed and cannot come unstuck.
Not to hip on it as comes with several issues. The sliding doors get jammed to where you cannot open them. I just in general would never own a Kia again.

The Kia Sedona is very unreliable and not dependable.
It has a lot of room for our family of 5, but has not been reliable since we bought it. We have had to replace many expensive parts that should not have needed to be replaced.

Looks comfortable with plenty of space but is in fact a death trap.
I have had recall after recall on this vehicle. It has not been reliable in any way die to all the issues that have arisen with it. I have a disabled child I have to make frequent long trips to his care hospital with for treatment. I purchased the vehicle with his comfort in mind, bit after I lost power steering, use of the windshield wipers (in an absolute downpour) I now have a vehicle that is used for storage because it is anything but road worthy.

I have a 2011 Kia Sedona. After 100,000 miles, problems start. Recently, I noticed that when it rains, water just pours into the back cabin
I will never buy a KIA.It is a problem vehicle after a certain mileage. I have water pouring into my cabin when it rains. I have never had this issue with other cars

View. Size. Economy. Purpose.
A bit bulky compared to other cars that I have driven but the performance and has economy is not too bad and lots of people and things can fit in the car. The car is also quite slow compared to the other cars but is also a miniature van and is quite good for soccer moms because they carpool and good for carpooling because it has lots of space. The driver has minimized view compared to others but is bearable.

I like that it is a minivan. Good leg space and storage space.
During cold weather (winter) the following problems arise. Otherwise, there are no problems with the car. Back door problems - gets stuck during cold weather and does not open. Car alarm system - 'trips' during cold weather (winter). Goes on in the middle of the night and alarms also goes on when back doors are stuck even when the car is moving! Very irritating.

Awesome minivan very roomy.
I have almost 200,000 miles on my van and still runs like a champ. Awesome on gas and never used oil. Only downside is the leather seats are cracked and uncomfortable, but that is what seat covers are for. I replaced the original battery last year if that tells you anything.

Most reliable vehicle purchase.
At first I did not want a mini van however, after settling in to this vehicle I am glad it is mine. This vehicle gets amazing gas mileage and for the do it yourself person the oil filter is on the top instead of underneath the vehicle! For the ease of use with dash gadgets this is a good buy.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Larissa S.

The pros of this vehicle is that it seats up to 7 people. It has a deep well in the back for hauling items. It has automatic doors for the middle seats. The middle seats are bucket seats and the windows go down. The back windows have wings that open for air flow.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Larissa S.

One of the biggest cons of this vehicle is that it has had pieces come off or fall apart. The front power plugs are spotty with working and have melted things put into them. The back inside frame of the tailgate has popped off.

Is The 2011 Kia Sedona A Good Car?

We love our Kia Sedona and would buy another in a heartbeat. The only real issue we have had is with door locks not always unlocking and with the sliding doors easily freezing in winter, more so... Read More
