Decent on gas for SUV,runs good has 4 wheel drive. Feels smooth to drive put bigger tires on it and handles great! For the money it's a decent vehicle but you can do better. It's also easy to do oil changes on it.
Its roomy, a great family car, heated seats on those cold mornings, power locks, electric windows, electric side mirrors, goes really well in harsh weather, anti theft, cruise control, also has heat and a/c front and back, great mileage, lots of back storage space, hidden spare tire compartment. Easy on road handling.
The positives of this vehicle are the remote start, the backup camera, the air vents in second row, and the optional third row. I needed a car that was easy for needed to drive (as a very short woman) but also had the capability to transport 3 young children in car seats. This vehicle does all that.
Has a lot of problems with brakes and suspension. The emergency brake constantly breaks and has to be fixed, also the radio was terrible and had to be replaced. The interior lights constantly don't work and have to be fixed.
The only thing I have an issue with is the price for repairs and parts as they are a little expensive, I really do not have any other issues with it, I would buy again from this brand, a lot depends on what your needs are really as everyone has different needs.
These negatives of the Kia Sorento are few. In fact, right off the top of my head, I cannot think of any. If I were to nitpick, though, I guess the fact that the backup camera is in the rearview mirror and you still have to look behind you because of blind spots would be one.
The 2009 Kia Sorento has an average owner rating of 4.33 out of 5 which ranks it #14 of 25 other Midsize SUVs.
