If the a/c does not work you have to hit the blower under the dash.
I like that my car gets me from point A to point B and I like the size. I hate that I cannot get it to pass emissions and there's constantly something wrong with it.

Good on gas needs exterior and interior work.
My vehicle is very used, had a lot of bad belts, filters, and other items that totaled over $670 of repairs and it still needs more that I can not afford right now, it is a good gas saver also small for tight spaces, bodywork is not so bad could use new tires, I can only get used ones right now, and I have also had to get another alternator after the other work.

My spectra just 4 wheels to get from A to B.
I bought is from a friend with just 36000 miles 3 years ago. I have spent over $4, 000 in repairs for oil leaks in engine. The car hours of nut with air on it sounds like the e engine is working hard. Very few amenities which I will want in my next car like backing screen, Wi-Fi, built in navigation. I want a Kia Soul.

Not the most luxurious, but is a solid car and will get you from a to b.
There is a consistent problem with the battery and circuit connectivity. The light system can also drain the battery if not turned off when not in use. The steering and action is agile. The engine is smaller, so uphill of any kind are a struggle and water can drastically affect my ability to get the car moving, especially uphill. The seats are standard fare, the trunk spacious, and the radio system perfect for plugging in a phone, or playing CD's.

Very reliable, great gas mileage, not many problems, inexpensive, comfortable seats but the cabin is a little small. Can use for years, mileage does not stop car from running well. Good commuter car and quite a large trunk. Know it will last for years before thinking of getting a new one.

Kia spectra reliable with great mileage.
2006 Kia spectra's are a reliable car all around. As long as you keep up with the maintenance your Kia spectra should last you a long while. It is comfortable and stable when driving on all roads. Kia spectra's have great gas mileage so I utilize my car for longer commutes. It has no problem accelerating up hills and traveling on rocky dirt roads.

It is a great commuter car with excellent gas mileage.
The car gets me an average of 30-35 mpg. It is compact, but the trunk space is still large enough to fit large suitcases and bulky items. The back seat folds down for even larger items. My only complaint is that the car runs loud and a little rough, but that's mostly because it has a smaller engine - I've had other small cars (Chevy Aveo, Hyundai Accent) that had similar 'issues'.

2006 Kia spectra- solid little car.
It is a good car, easy to take care of. Drives well, feels good. Got it second hand and it operates as well as I could hope for. Only issue I have had is with an airbag sensor shorting out, since it'd be a big expensive pain to fix, and I am not about that life.

Do not use extra floor covers in the front.

It's important to know that it has super low clearance. Any road obstacle can be dangerous.

Great city car, would recommend.
Good reliable car only had to replace brakes and struts which for 200,000 plus mile isn't bad, gas Mileage could be better but has an upgraded 4-cylinder which allows it to accelerate faster but is still a 4-cylinder so not going to break any records, but even at 100 mph handles like a champ in steering and cornering which I was surprised by, but overall a great little car for what it is.

The best car I have ever owned!
My Kia spectra sx is the third vehicle I have personally owned and it is also my favorite. I drive it everyday. It is very reliable sedan and has not had any major problems. It has a manual gear shifter which makes driving interesting. It has radio, ac, heat, 5 seats, electric windows, and storage space in trunk. I plan to keep this car in my possession for the next couple of years.

The electronics go out after long usage and it is hard to find a garage that knows how to work on this model and make. Other than no a/c and the radio coming and going, the car has been more than reliable and gets me from a to b every single time. Very good starter car.

Great small car with space and great gas mileage.
I have had my Kia for approx. 4 years. I bought it pre owned. I absolutely love my Kia, the gas mileage is phenomenal and I have had only small problems. My gas chamber sensor has gone out which doesn't affect me greatly. I've drove my car to Chicago from Michigan which is approx 4 hr drive and still had just under half a tank of gas! Other perks are how spacious it is. I am 6ft and can ride comfortably in any spot in the car. The back seat folds down so you have more room through the trunk. Overall a great vehicle !

Great car would buy another one.
Has a lot of miles and have not had many problems except the normal wear and tear oil changes wipers battery had to replace the tie rod ends and breaks but like I said the normal stuff it has something like 222280 miles on it and still drives like a champ gets good gas mileage check engine light has been on for ever said its an o2 sensor but never took the time to replace been a great car and I am not looking forward to replacing it but know I will have to because its rusting due to salt from living in Michigan. Love my old bestie!

Good town car or for a new young driver but does not last long.
Once I fix one issue, the car has another issue. I understand it is an older car but it is one thing after another. Paint is peeling, I have had to replace the transmission, replace all the belts twice, new radiator, new wheels, and the ac is leaking. However I will admit it gets great gas mileage and is a convenient size.

Purchased vehicle used in 2017. Has needed some expected, typical repairs- brake pads, 2 tires, battery. Also had electrical problem requiring professional diagnosis and replacement of wiring. Generally runs well. Decent mileage (sorry, no exact figure, but fewer fill ups than its predecessors. Starts well in cold and acceptable handling in snow and ice when driven properly. Comfortable for driver and passengers.

I acquired this car from my parents with a check engine light on. Kia states that the car needs a new transmission. It had one about a year ago. Other than that it's a good car. The gas mileage is declining. I do not know if that has to do with needing a new transmission or not.

It is a good first family car.

My car has too many issues.
While my car is paid off, it has quite a few problems. Some of the electrical components will just stop working, like the speedometer will stop in the middle of driving or the radio changes itself. Ac does not really work. I need a new/better car but cannot afford one.

The outside of the car is extremely unique. It stands out in a parking lot.
It's a good car, but it struggles a lot on the highway. Since I have had this car, it is had a lot of minor issues that my previous car did not. It struggled on the highway, often starting to shake by the time it hit 70 mph. The gas pedal is not very sensitive, making it difficult to even get up to speed. The lights are not that bright, and as someone with very bad eyesight, I need to have very bright headlights. The seats however are very comfortable and the steering wheel itself does not veer one way or the other. Overall, the car is not that great even though it is not that old of a car.

I have had very few problems with this car. The check engine light seems to come on about once a year. When I take it to mechanic, they say the cause that the computer shows is working correctly so they shut it off and we do it again next year.

Paranormal wiring problems
Right now I'm having wiring problems with tail lights, AC went out, speedometer doesn't function, headlights flicker sometimes. All the problems I have started having with the car happened simultaneously almost. So it's harder to fix in bulk financially.

2006 Kia Spectra opinion.
This vehicle has been very reliable over the last twelve years. It has decent performance but could be a little faster. The only real problem I have encountered is that I bent an intake valve and for whatever reason it is been overheating since I got it fixed and I do not know why. Other than that it has been very reliable and pretty comfortable.

The stock stereo system is better than any other car I have seen.
The problems I have had with this vehicle is electrical, and battery issues. At one point my headlight, tail light, and dash all went out and my lights would flicker inside, cost me over 350. 00 to fix it. The car is amazing on gas mileage. The battery has stopped working a couple of times in the 2 years that I have had it. But I love the interior of the car and the stock stereo system. Its very fast and reliable and affordable. I would highly recommend this car for a daily commuter.

Kia Spectra The Everyday Machine
This car has run beautifully. I've had minimal issues it's been reliable to drive me to school and work daily. It is equipped with CD player, car charger port, 5 seats, and great trunk space. Parts on it are constantly needing to be replaced, whether it is the struts, engine parts, I get one thing replaces and another thing goes.
The vehicle seems cheaply made, numerous problems occur with the overall function of the vehicle. I've already had to replace the engine, and I was between a rock and a hard place when I bought it used from the dealership. It's what they had that fit my needs at the time.

This car has been passed down by my family members since it was bought new.
It is a little white Kia. The passenger air vent has stopped working on the right side and the mechanics couldn't fix it for some reason. It can handle some snow. The gas mileage is really good on long road trips but struggles to maintain speed going up steep inclines.

The oxygen sensor is out and no matter how many times I replace it, the engine light is still on. It is very loud and it shakes. On the other hand, it gets ok gas mileage, it has a lot of trunk space and is roomy. I have never had any major problems with it. It is lasted a long time.

Gas Pedal Gone with a Chance for Timing Belts
My car, a Kia Spectra (2006), has lasted for a good long while. It has seen well over 100,000 miles of road travelled. The amazing things I have been able to see with the places I have driven with my car has been impressive, to say the least. In the 13 years that I have owned my car from new, I have gained the title for my car, and some minor and major parts of my car have been falling apart. While I know what some pieces are that need repairs, such as my gas pedal not being fully on. There is also the fact that it sounds like my timing belt is going. In the end! I will say that my car really is showing its age.

Walking away from accident
This is the 2nd Kia spectra I have owned. The first one was totaled but a head on accident with a concrete barrier going 60 miles a hour. I walked away from that accident with only a few bruises from the seat belt. I was held in place and didn't feel the airbag deploy. Besides the accident I love everything about the spectra and wish that Kia had not stopped making them

I really love my car. One of the problems that I have with it is that the gas cap is faulty, so the check engine light is always on. It also shows that there is a passenger when there is not, so the sensor is faulty as well. Other than that it has been a very reliable car.

It a lot more reliable than you'd expect for the lower price compared to other brands.
It's old and needs more maintenance, headlights tend to burn out. But it's paid off.

Good little gas saver with a surprisingly amount of room inside!
Seems to be a great little car. I bought it used. The front end has a bit of a shimmy to it, may be a motor mount. Generally a good little gas getter that is surprisingly roomy inside and easy to fit three children (including one bulky car seat) across the back.

Regular oil and transmission checks will keep the car running at peak performance and gas usage with very little else to do.
I have been thoroughly pleased with My Kia Spectra sx. A few problems i have encountered over the past two years of ownership have been physical; steering wheel melting in high heats, paint chips and dents easily. As well as some equipment problems like the fan in the car cutting off for weeks at a time and restarting again later. Other than those things the engine is easy to maintain and rides very smoothly.

Used and slightly broken.
I purchased the vehicle used and I have been having issues with constantly having to fix parts on the car but they may be due to wear and tear from the previous owner more than the brand of car itself. When I'm not fixing it, the car fits my needs well and is very comfortable to drive.
