2000 Lexus LX Overview, Reviews, Ratings & Specs

We have a 2000 LX470 with120k miles in SoCal and we LOVE everything about it! 20 years, yes, that’s a lot of love. Mechanics and reliability are great, in line with Lexus. But everything about it has aged so well, compared to the other two newer Lexuses we have (RX and EX). The engine hums like it’s new and it drives so smooth. The headlamps are glass, so they have stayed clear, and the paint is still in good condition. It has aged gracefully, especially when compared to our 2010 RX450h, which has plastic trim (headlights, spoiler, bumper) that started to oxidize after just 6 yrs. After 20 yrs, all the LX470 needs is new leather upholstery and window seals. I’m selling the RX and turning this into my daily driver!

My vehicle is very comfortable’ very reliable’ not had many problems with it since having it for 18 years.

The maintenance is expensive. To get even an oil change is very expensive because I have to take it to Lexus. If you take it elsewhere then it cancels the warranty no matter how old.

It has good trunk space. The speakers work very well. The seats are comfortable. I like everything about the car that I have.

This car is extremely comfortable and smooth ride. It look good; and because it is white it does not show the dirt in the same way a black car does. It actually gets very good mileage for a large car. I enjoy the way it takes bumps, very good suspension.
