Very reliable car - have over 80k miles on it and no problems yet. Car handles well, gets great gas mileage (appx 28 mph on average), and has great trunk space. Cannot think of any complaints. Love the way the body looks too, overall would absolutely recommend to anyone.

Blessed with all weather mats great in the winter and now great at the beach.
Very comfortable to take trips in and a very smooth ride over not so smooth pavement. Has get up and go to merge into traffic on busy highways. We have had no mechanical or any issues at all with the vehicle thus far. The only annoyance is with the brakes which squeak a lot but is normal for the make and model.

I have loved my Mazda since day one. It is my second time to own a Mazda, I previously owned a cx-9. The comfort of the ride and options on the car-SUV are easy to get to while driving. Both the cx-5 and cx-9 have a lot of room for multiple passengers.

Mazda cx-5 2016 car review.
Great car for a family just starting out. Great gas mileage. Love the double option to control the touch screen. Some features include sunroof, heated leather seats, heat up to 90 degrees, XM radio, Bluetooth. I love the car but the only thing I wish was different was for their to be vents in the back seat for the heating and cooling other than that it is a great car.

Poor visibility and a bit uncomfortable to drive.
The Mazda is uncomfortable and not very easy to drive. The breaks are difficult to control and it does not break smoothly at all. The visibility is also terrible. I am only a bit shorter than average but no matter how I adjust the seat I can barely see anything.

Mazda cx 5 fun SUV to drive!
I love my car. It performs as expected. Its comfortable to drive in. I wish it had a back seat air vent and maybe more cargo space. But in the 4 years of having the car, maintenance is super easy on it. Nothing has been replaced on it. Other than the battery, but that's expected in phoenix,Arizona.

Handy, sporty SUV good for travel and families.
Vehicle rides fairly smoothly though there is a bit of road noise. The on-line navigation system sometimes fails to load properly and causes consternation. The tires that came with the car lasted exceptionally long and I just recently changed them at 65,000 miles. The ability to put all or some of the back seats down is very helpful and makes the car like a small station wagon.

Great vehicle. Long way to sit.
I love my Mazda 6. It gets terrific gas mileage (32-35 mpg highway). The interactive display in the center of the dashboard is great for longer road trips. The trunk can hold as many as two sets of golf clubs. The rear seats lay down to give even more space, which is surprising for a mid-size sedan. It is only needed unscheduled maintenance once and it was covered by the power train warranty. I am a relatively tall guy (6’4”), and I sit up fine, but I do have a long way down to sit and land on the seat. It seems like it could be relatively problematic to people with joint challenges.

The amazing features and qualities of the Mazda cx-5.
My vehicle is a very comfortable and cute make. It feels spacious and feels new. It is very safe because of the type of car and the fact that it is an SUV which I believe to be safer because of how they are made and because you sit up higher. It is pretty good on gas as well which is always a plus. The safety features on the car are great. One safety feature on the car is when you put on your left or right turn signals, it alerts you with a noise and light flashes on the side mirrors (left and right) if there is a vehicle in that lane or approaching fast, that way you do not go into that lane and cause an accident to happen. It has Bluetooth and radio and all the things you need to vibe and relax in the car. It has a large trunk and back seats to fit in groceries. The front drivers seat is adjustable by buttons so it is hi tech and nice. The back up camera is also a life saving feature. Overall, it is just a really good car.

I have not had any problems with my vehicle in the past five years. It is reliable and drives nicely, and is also very safe. I like the blind spot detectors and rear view camera. It is a large car, and easily fits five passengers and has a spacious trunk to hold lots of stuff.

Overall the cx 5 is a great vehicle to own.
The Mazda cx-5 is comfortable, it provides plenty of space for driver and passenger. It has been reliable from a performance standpoint. The heated seats heat up much quicker than our Chevrolet trucks. The Bose sound system is great. The navigation has been a little flaky at times, noticing it more when in a condensed city area.

Good quality, reliable cars!
I have only had my Mazda cx-5 for a few months now but so far I have had no problems with it. Before this car, I had a 2010 Mazda 3 with almost 200,000 miles on it and it was still driving good as new.. My parents also have a Mazda cx-9 with 270,000 miles on it and it is still driving good. I have noticed mazda’s are very safe, reliable cars.

Mazda cx-5 greatest model yet.
I absolutely love my car. Every feature is awesome. I love the touch screen radio/navigation. Sport mode is cool for getting on the freeway. The size is perfect for my small family and there’s plenty of room in the back for groceries, bags when taking trips, literally everything. The middle section of seats fold completely down so I can get bigger things in my car when needed. Overall I just love my car, it is absolutely what I was looking for.

My Mazda cx5. Is smart looking, affordable, car, with safety features I need.
I bought the car because it was a car that I was able to get in relatively easy after back surgery. I also, purchased the car because I wanted a safe vehicle. This car has heated seats for my back and wonderful safety features for my family. I ended up leasing this car for the first two and a half years because I wanted lower payments, and after the lease ended and because I only put a little over 5,000 miles on the car, lots of surgeries, I decided to purchase the car. The payments were pretty much the same amount and I am the only owner. Once the lease was up the car was still new to me, so I kept the car. Beside, the cx5 is a smart looking sturdy, affordable safe car which is roomy and funds to drive. This car gets good gas mileage, and has plenty of room for long trips. My Mazda cx5 is one of the best cars that I have ever owned, and I will be purchasing another new cx 5 once I trade or decide to buy a newer car.

Soul red makes me smile every day.
I love the color! Exterior is a beautiful red, interior is white. The interior does show dirt and stains, but I bought the replacement package for that. I like having the main controls for audio, GPS, etc in the lower middle of the front seat. It is really easy to use while driving. Size is perfect, not too big not too small.

Love the blind spot monitors and backup camera. Also really dig the tire monitoring technology and being able to integrate GPS and Pandora radio. Multiple USB ports for charging. Also love keyless entry using door knobs. I do not even have to have the fob in hand to unlock the doors or trunk.

Drives very tight, very fast acceleration for the highways and byways.
The only problem I have had is the transmission went out in Colorado this summer. Other than that I give it an a++ rating! It is my dream car! Very flashy and sporty exterior with a very high tech interior but simple enough once you get the hang of it. It is perfect if you love the mountains like I do! Thank you Mazda for making the cx-5!

I have only had difficulty with one of my headlights being dim and one of my speakers blowing out. Other than that the car has good mileage and drives smoothly. The Mazda cx-5 is the perfect SUV! It looks good, drives good and feels good. You can turn on the ‘sport’ choice which is a nice option to have if you need to or want to go fast. Summary of how hard car is to keep clean.
Small turning radius. Lots of rattles and blind spots. Hard to clean interior. Lots of tiny spot to clean and cannot get to. Low ground clearance. I do like the look of the interior when clean. Windows are very hard to clean on the inside. I have owned two of these vehicles.

Great handling and acceleration and it looks stylish.
I love how the car drives and the way that it handles. I wish that fuel. Economy were better and they had paid more attention to the design of the seats and front seat area. The seats are stiff and don't offer the needed support while driving and the front is a tad cramped for anyone over 5'6. Also, the steering wheel doesn't include enough of a range in adjustments for my liking as opposed to the one in my 2016 Chevy Cruze.

Enjoying my 2016 Mazda cx-5.
My Mazda has been reliable only one issue with the battery so far. The drive is smooth and it has great gas mileage. There is a little more road noise then I’d like, but I just turn the music up then. The leather interior is nice, and wears well. The stereo system has good sound.

This car is great and super reliable. I always feel safe when I drive it; it responds really well. The comfort on the inside is great too. It's great on gas. It drives very smooth and is very quiet. It looks very sleek on the inside and the outside. The canvas seats stain really easily even from water which makes them a hassle to clean. Very comfortable for family of 3 (soon to be 4).
I have had this car for 3 years now and I still love it! I have a toddler and a baby on the way and I think it is still the perfect car for our family. I like that it is roomy enough for us, but it is not too big. Eventually we will need a car with a third row but not yet! The trunk has plenty of space and you are comfortable no matter where you are sitting.

Mazda cx-5: the couch on wheels.
The Mazda cx-5 is super comfortable! It is like a couch on wheels, and when in cruise control, you can just set the distance you want to keep from the car in front of you, and the cx-5 will automatically hit the brakes to maintain the distance. Mazda is a trustworthy company, and the cx-5 lives up to the reliability expectations. The only issue is random lights sometimes come on the dashboard when nothing is wrong.

The car is a great value, very big fan of it. The backup camera and blind spot monitoring is a great addition. I wish it had an automatic trunk though as there have been many times that I have had to get out of the car and use the key to open the trunk for a friend or coworker to put something in the back.

Best overall AWD crossover.
I purchased the Mazda cx-5 after researching and test driving comparable AWD options like the Honda CR-V, Toyota rav4 and Subaru forester and outback. The car is roomy, but not too big which fits me perfectly. The cargo area is large enough to hold everything my family and I need on our outings to the beach or mountains. Vehicle runs great it is dependable comfortable and pretty. Easy to get in and out of front and back doors. Wish the trunk was automated. Love the keyless feature too. Has child safety locks that I am able to easily remove and an extra seat belt in the middle of the back seat. The back seats both fold down making it roomier for cargo to be stored. Happy with our Mazda cx-5!
Overall we are very happy with our Mazda cx-5. It is fuel efficient, safe and we have never had any problems with it not starting or breaking down. The only issue we have had is that sometimes the parking brake light will come on randomly even though the break is not on. I think it is a sensor issue.

Overall my vehicle is great, the drive is smooth and I feel as if I have decent power when accelerating. The ride is very comfortable with heated seats and a lot of adjustability with the driver seat. Downsides include, the back seats have minimal adjustability and the heat/air does not have a direct vent for rear seats, there power rating for the USB plus is very low and can struggle to charge a modern smartphone.

Mazda in a life of an American asian.
The performance is like Toyota, not much engine problems just your usual oil change and brake service and everything else. The only problem is not much horse power and techy not much up to date. Parts are easy to find you can upgrade parts, not too hard to install. You can find good stuff too.

When Elegance Meets Fun... You Get a CX-6
I love my CX-5. It gets great gas mileage for a mid size SUV and has very responsive driving. The Bose speakers are great. Only downside to the car is it's a keyless start. Once your battery dies in your key, you're in trouble (speaking from experience). Other than that, no complaints!

Mazda cx-5: excellent small SUV.
This SUV handles great. Perfect for a middle distance commute (30 miles) but also for running errands downtown. Runs well, no issues yet. Definitely a comfortable car - I take it on regular 4+ hour trips with a mix of highway and state routes. Only complaint is that the steering wheel peeled at the very beginning. Should have bought a cover for it.

Perfect for small families
This is the perfect small SUV for a small family. It does not get stuck in the snow and is comfortable to travel. I have never had any maintenance problems. The only time the vehicle has ever been back to the dealership has been for routine maintenance and 2 recalls. One recall was minor and neither of them ever caused problems for me or my family. We do find that when our teenage sons are home from college they need to ride in the front as the back is slightly tight for them. Our toddler does at times kick the back of the seat but she is often comfortable in the back no matter where her car seat is positioned. We use this vehicle as our family travel vehicle. We have taken several vacations for my husband, myself and six year old. We can easily fit all we need to pack for a week away from home including the times we have taken beach vacations which require us to pack more than normal with extra toys and towels. I do find it warm in the back in the summer and chilly in the winter. There is no control for the heat or air for backseat passengers. The radio speakers are sufficient for everyone to hear and listen to music. There is no plug in the back for charging devices which is often a problem. When devices are plugged into the USB port they do not produce sound. Overall I am 100% happy with this vehicle and would most definitely purchase another in the same model.

It's comfortable to drive and has the option for more power.
Sporty and comfortable. A little small in the trunk and backseat. Could use more space.

Mazda cx-5: comfort where you want it, power where you need it.
My car is very reliable and drives really well. I tested many similar crossover SUVs when making my decision and found that this model has a little more “pep” when driving, without sacrificing space or comfort. I find the gas mileage to be about average for a car in its class.

Very reliable and Gas efficient
I love how it has a navigation panel to help guide me where I need to go. It also has a bluetooth feature, so I can access my music and phone calls hands free.

Mazda makes reliable cars.
My Mazda is very reliable. It has a lot of power, and with the sky-active system it gets great gas mileage for an SUV. Lots of trunk space, and love the Bluetooth capability. I bought it used and it has never had a mechanical problem. It looks nice and drives smooth.

My Mazda CX-5 is great! It's a crossover SUV, and and is not too big coming from a sedan. I especially like having a higher car in the city.

It is been a good investment.
It drives super smoothly compared to other cars I've driven. I have the touring and it has many great features. I have a gaps in my car and premium seats but my only complaint is there isn't a built in garage opener.

Mazda CX-5 is a great vehicle for the price and all that is included.
It drives well in the snow. I love the push button start along with the Mazda app starter button. I love the heated seats, along with the navigation you do not pay for. The only issue I have is the egg smell that seems to be with all the Mazda's i have had.

Mazda CX-5 is a great overall small crossover
Great fuel economy. Very fun to drive and the AWD works great. This is the third Mazda I have purchased brand new. I love the brand, the quality, price and the overall value. Warranty is great. There have been a few small recalls which is annoying but Mazda has been great at fixing everything

Lots of room, drives like a dream.
The cx-5 is a great vehicle. As a family we have been on long road trips in it, and it has always been reliable and comfortable. The cx-5 has plenty of room for everything we need and is spacious enough for a relaxing long road trip. I definitely would recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a better ride experience.

I purchased this car based on safety and being comfortable for me and m6 two large dogs

Interior of Mazda cx-5 is disappointing.
Poor reliability with interior has fallen apart with normal use requiring expensive repairs. Bluetooth capabilities are inconsistent for a 4 year old vehicle. As far as vehicle performance this car has been fine, minimal repairs have been needed. I overall would not recommend this car to a friend or family member. Interior improvements would be necessary to keep the car for more than another year.

Family friendly vehicle with plenty of space to sit 5 people very comfortably.
I highly recommend the Mazda cx-5 for a number of reasons. I have not had any problems with the car thus far. So far everything has worked to the best of its ability. I do like how the car has two USB ports along with an aux plug in. It also has a CD player for those of you who like to listen to CDs in the car. The car performs really well. The car is automatic and makes it very easy to switch gears. It also has the sport mode which you can use if you want to get up and go especially on the highway. I find the car to be very reliable, like I said earlier I have never had any problems with it. The only thing I do not like is you cannot use your key fob to lock the car while it is running. If you want to lock your car while it is running you must use the key that is part of your key fob. I also really like that the car is push start making it very convenient to get in it and go. The car is very comfortable and has plenty of cargo space to make moving things simple.

The car has a very sporty feel which makes driving this car fun to drive
I love that it's so roomy on the inside its plenty of room for myself & my daughter. The only thing i don't like is the stereo integration with my phone. I wish it had apple carplay

Comfortable SUV with decent gas mileage - makes for a great first SUV.
It has a nice ride and is pretty comfortable for long trips. It also has great features such as the infotainment center which provides maintenance information, mpg information, and others. And it even has decent gas mileage for being an SUV. For being my first SUV, I am pretty happy with it.

The interior features are so nice and the outside of the car is beautiful!
The Mazda cx-5 is a great and reliable car it runs amazing and looks sleek. I enjoy it a lot - I wish the center console was built like the newer Mazda models but still love it! It is not bad on gas either it only takes 10 gallons so it is on the cheaper side of SUVs to fill it up the air and heating are fast and temperatures are accurate!

Mazda cx-5, luxury without having to pay for it.
The driving performance is pretty good considering how much it cost. It drives like a luxury vehicle. In the four years that we've had it is been very reliable. The seats are still plush and comfortable. I wish that it was a turbo or that it had a bigger engine. After all these years it still looks new and cool to me. The paint job is still shiny and new looking.

Perfect size for my family.
My Mazda cx-5 is a great size for my family. It fits my daughter's car seat well and has great storage space in the back. It has leather heated seats which is nice in cold weather. I also love having navigation built in.

Love my cx-5, safe, cool & reliable.
Love this car, very comfortable, nice interior, good sound system, easy to keep clean, great on gas, hardly any blind spots, quality safety features, great size, not too noisy with no sound while driving, could have a little more foot space in the back but for a crossover it is more than enough space, good trunk area & love the back up camera & blind spot monitoring that you can turn off & on.
