Really good car with small problem...

2018 Mazda CX-5 Sport

My overall experience with the car is pretty good so far. I've been driving it for a year now and I think it has a smooth steering wheel and I love the way I can adjust my seat by just pressing two buttons instead of pulling some piece of metal from under my chair. The color red is a plus in this model, I'm just in love with how it looks so elegant. But I must say, this car is not perfect. There seems to be a problem with either a sensor, car program, or transmission that makes the car freeze for a second when you stop suddenly. Say a car, carelessly gets in front of you and you make a quick stop and then want to keep moving along; it will take a second for the car to move again if you try to go faster, it kind of seems like the transmission freezes. Now this might just be the car I got. This problem might or might not exist in other cars but this is just my experience. Everything else seems to work fine though. The heat is really good. Especially the seat warmers, they can heat up pretty fast. The AC is good, but if it's really hot it could take a while for the car to cool down.

White Grand Touring Premium Mazda CX-5

2018 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring

The Mazda CX 5 is a great car. I love the size of it. I can comfortably fit my dog in the truck. Additionally, I really like the leather seats and the grand touring features. We did upgrade to the premium features as well. This includes the speed and safety display above the dashboard. This car is easy to go fast in. There are sometimes connectivity issues with apple play. The car is not a touch screen unless stopped. This is a safety feature but I sometimes think the toggle is less safe. I enjoy the ease of driving. It doesn't feel like you are driving a massive car. During the financial part of our lease, we were talked into the maintenance and safety package. I would not recommend doing it. We regretted it. Overall, I would highly recommend this car. We have Mazda's in our family and are very happy with the company. My extended family members have similar sized cars but our Mazda way out ranks theirs. We are very happy customers!

I would recommend the Mazda CX-5 over the Honda/Jeep or Toyota.

2018 Mazda CX-5

I have had my 2018 CX-5 for 5 months now; with over 12kmiles. My overall experience is very good and i now know its a better value than the competition (which i have drove and know friends with these vehicles). In comparison: driving acceleration & handling are good (plenty adaquate), cabin noise is the same as competion but not a lux vehicle, Gas milage is excellent as i am avg over 36mpg for the 12k miles (i would estimate i am able to get 40mpg on the high way without traffic, 32 with some traffic and 24 in normal city driving, The only issue I experience is the auto sensing and the car will brake on the highway in situations it should not be braking (i.e. when you are changing lanes to accelerate and avoid issues; the car will override and break. I have asked about this at the dealership and there does not seem to be a fix for this defect yet.) otherwise i am satisfied with the vehicle.
