2020 Mazda CX-5 Reviews

Mazda cx-5 with the signature trim is one of my favorite cars to drive. It has 360 camera view, cruise control that matches the car speed in front of you, and the design of the car looks so good and clean. The price is kind of pricey but I got the top trim and I do not regret it. There is heated seats for the front and back seats. The front seats have cooling seats which come in handy on a hot summer day. I haven't had any problems with the car except when I first got it, my battery was a bad one. It died maybe a month of having it. The dealership changed the battery out when I told them about it. This car is seriously a great car to drive everyday.

The grand touring Mazda cx-5 is a great car. It is very comfortable with this particular model having the ability to save your seat setting which is super helpful especially if other people drive your car, never have to worry again about losing your perfect seat position! It is such a smooth drive, it does not shake or make a lot of noise and when your idling sometimes you forget the car is even on. This particular model also offers some great features like cooled and heated front seats for those scorching summer days or frigid winter ones. Overall I would 10/10 recommended this car, I have had a fabulous experience since getting it in may.

I really like the Mazda model I own. It has a very clean and nice looking interior, but also has a sporty appearance from the outside. I like how it connects to Bluetooth and has a lot of audio options. It would be convenient though if the touch screen would be available during driving instead of having to use the knob to adjust the stereo. So far it seems very reliable and I have had no issues at all. There is a ton of room in the car and I especially like the roomy trunk. It drives very smoothly with the brakes and the pedal being just the right touchiness.

The cx 5 is the perfect everyday car. It feels very safe and stable on the road. We recently went on a cross country trip from NY to Nevada and back. No problems with the car at all. It was so reliable and the space inside helped. We were able to fit an airbed in the backseat for the long drives. The trunk was able to fit two big luggages, a cooler and a travel organizer for the trunk which held snacks and books that we needed. We got the car since we have a toddler and the car seat fits with enough space for two other people to sit in the back. Definitely recommend this car for families.

Mazda cx-5 has a high reliability rating and that has been true for me. My previous cx-5 needed no repairs in the three years I had it—only routine maintenance. I have found that with the newer one, my gas mileage has been higher than predicted, with a mix of highway and local driving. This car is very comfortable for a larger person to drive. I can use my iPhone for navigation and results are displayed on the car’s console where a navigation system would be. There is a dual temperature system with the driver and passenger each able to control the temperature on their side of the car. I like the locking feature which will automatically lock the doors when you get out of the car, although this can be turned off if that is not what you want. The cargo room is ample, made even more so when the back seats are folded down. My only minor complaint is that the cup holder seems to be in an awkward position.

I am incredibly pleased with my 2020 Mazda cx-5 touring. It has a smooth ride and helps me get around and through highway traffic with ease. Flipping on the “sport mode” switch is always fun. The seats are comfortable, with soft leather and a soft suede insert. It is a very luxurious looking vehicle (inside and out) for the price. I am satisfied with the quality of the microphone for phone calls (people say they can hear me better on this one than on my previous Mazda). I appreciate that it is loaded with useful safety features. I am disappointed that my touring (even with the added preferred equipment package) does not have apple CarPlay. I am also a little disappointed with the fuel tank capacity.. I could always get about 350+ miles on my previous cx-7; on this cx-5, I get to below or barely 300 miles. But overall, I am very happy with this vehicle.

This is my second cx-5. I absolutely love this car. The handling is amazing on the highway. Never any fear of losing control with this vehicle. The gas mileage is amazing, I am averaging about 26 mpg. It is also very stylish and comfortable. If there was anything I do not like, and there is one - only one. You cannot open the hatchback while the vehicle is running. I am guessing this is some sort of safety feature. But now especially, when I am getting curbside pickup, it is kind of a pain to have to shut the car down so someone can throw a bag of groceries in the back. Other than that this car is perfect.

I love the color, the red is amazing. There is every option possible and even heated rear seats. I like that I can customize the lane delineator, the speed I am driving that pops up on the windshield, and that I can link my phone directly to the center console, so my phone is always available. I like that Mazda offers their version of OnStar but it's a free service. I love having keyless entry, that the headlights rotate with the steering wheel when I make turns. I think it is great on gas, and my insurance even when down when I got this car because it has a great track record. I cannot think of any negatives from buying the cx-5. But I also got to choose everything down to what color leather seats(I got the black leather).

It is truly an amazing car! I have the base model and the only part that makes me mad is no heated seats and sunroof! Otherwise it is amazing! Roomy and nice, great gas mileage, and all wheel drive which is awesome! The car overall runs amazing and has remote start which is awesome too! The app on my phone allows me to literally start my car from anywhere. Also if you unlock your car from far away and do not get inside your car within a few minutes it locks again automatically which is awesome.

My Mazda drives really smooth. It comes with lane assist and a rear view camera. Super helpful when I am parking or backing out of my driveway. I like that it makes a noise to notify me when a car is close by. When I walk up to my car, I can open the door by touching the little button on my handle, as long as my fob is on me. Apple airplay is also included. I can view the map on the touch screen. This helps with long trips! The interior has leather seats with felt. Perfect for cold or hot months. Overall a very reliable car.

I love my car. It's the perfect size for living in the city but still wanting the benefits of owning a SUV. I live in Denver so being able to drive in the snowy mountains of Colorado with confidence is great. While still being able to maneuver through the tight streets of Denver's old neighborhoods. Its is also the quietest car I have ever owned. It took a few months to get used to not hearing any outside noise while in my car. My first two cars were Mazdas but I started making a bit more money as I grew up and bought an Acura. Mazdas are better, more affordable and last forever.

I am really enjoying my Mazda cx-5. I have only owned it since may of 2020. The only problems that it has is the storage throughout the vehicle is much less than I am used to from my previous vehicle (a Honda odyssey minivan). And the back does not hold very much when all of the seats are up (in use). I was aware of that when I got it but I really do wish there was a bit more storage and better placed cup holders between the two front seats. Other than that, I really have no complaints. My vehicle is fully loaded with great electronics with my favorite feature being a car play, which essentially mirrors your phone on the screen. It plays your music through the awesome Bose speakers and it will also show any GPS you might use including google maps or waze and show it on the screen which is sleekly set in the dash. And because it mirrors your phone, it is easy to learn how to utilize all the features since they are what you are used to using on your iPhone. The inside looks like a luxury vehicle without the price, and the leather seats are beautifully stitched as well as comfortable. It drives like a dream and has a bit of a sports car feel which, again, feels so different from my minivan as it is not huge and lumbering, but really maneuvers well and has some kick to it! It is fun to drive. It has this cool feature with headlights that move around the curve before you do, then straightens out as your vehicle does. It also has some great safety features pretty common to newer vehicles but new to me, such as blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, lane keep assist and of course a rear view camera with rear cross traffic alert. All these things are helpful without being annoying. So far this vehicle has been reliable, however it is still pretty new. The best testimony of reliability is that I have no less than 3 friends who also have a cx-5 and they all recommended it to me! I also highly recommend this vehicle. Cannot wait to take a road trip in it!

It is spacious inside - plenty of headroom. We have a child that needs to be buckled into a car seat. It is nice not to have to worry about bumping your head. The car has a high safety rating and proves itself in this time and time again - from the alerts in the side view mirrors to the city lock brakes. It drives smoothly and comfortably and is easy to navigate. It is somehow the perfect size- not a boat and not so small you feel cramped. We love this car!

I love the technology of this vehicle, the heated and cooling seats, and the safety system. I do wish it was larger as my 60 pound dog has problems lying comfortably in it but that is my issue, not most people’s issue. It has been an adjustment moving to a smaller vehicle, for interior size, as we moved from a minivan to this and still have a Buick Lucerne 4 door sedan, which are both larger. We do love this sport feel and being an SUV, so we can have more height when on the road. Overall this vehicle was a great purchase considering the technology and safety systems. I do recommend it for a vehicle in this size category.

The car drives incredibly smoothly and is very quiet. One of the reasons I chose this car was because it didn't have a lot of bells and whistles. To me, those can be incredibly distracting. The nobs are all where your right hand sits, so there's really no need to use touch screen either. I love apple carplay and how it reads my texts to me and gives me the option to respond via siri. My only concern is that I am having a hard time figuring out the peripherals of the vehicle. I keep thinking I am closer to things than I really am. Perhaps it will just take time to get used to! Overall very happy with it.
