Reliable car, good for families and driving around town
Bought it before the birth of our first child. We wanted to have more space and not have to lean down into a car. It lacks lots of bells and whistles that newer cars have, but it has been extremely reliable and safe for us.

Mazda-a great first car!!
Great comfort, tight steering, all around good first car. It is also highly rated for safety and crash tests. Only problem is that it takes off really fast, you have to have a light foot to not rocket off. Also it sometimes will not turn on the defroster when it is cold outside so you have to be alert when it is cold.

It is well made and fun to drive. The inside is roomy.
I just like my car. It is sporty and reliable and comfortable.

The car has a screen that tells the temp. Of the car.
It is the family car and it has all the safety features that it needs to keep your family safe on long trips. It has 4 doors, power steering and power windows. It also has power brakes. It has a lot of alarms to let you know if something is wrong with the tires and anything wrong with the car.

Mazda really gets it done!
Such an amazing car! Bought it used a couple years ago, and still runs the same as when I bought it. It is super reliable, and has gotten me to and from my university several times, among other little road trips me and my friends take. It is a 4-door, and has pretty decent gas mileage. Highly recommend.

Luxury at a cheap price point.
Knock on wood, the cx7 has been amazing.Over 241,000 miles and no. Major issues since I bought it new. I have had smooth driving and easy maintenance to keep it running. Great mileage overall as well. The heated seats are probably the best add on plus the sun roof makes it seem. Very fancy.

It doesn't cost a lot to fill it up and it is really easy on gas
I like that it's easy on gas. It is comfortable to ride in. There is plenty of cargo room and room for passengers.
accountCircle Beth S
It has airbags everywhere in the car.
I love that it fits my family comfortably. The trunk has plenty of space for whatever I need to put there. I love the look of my cx-7.

Working but not liking it.
The cab is tiny and hard for me to get in and out of, the fabric on the doors is missing or lifting and the seats force your rear into strange shapes, the rear wiper is unreliable and the system is very difficult to work with just to hook up the Bluetooth. There are a few other items like the window not moving but the are minor.

Crossover that does few things right and many things wrong.
The car feels cheap in many aspects. Plastic parts seem to fail after moderate use. Driver side window motor started to malfunction after 5 years and door handles found on the outside are coming loose. While the car is not very powerful acceleration wise, the gas pedal is finicky and will jolt the car forward if it is not gently used.

That it can have recalls and engine problems.
It has great gas mileage which I love! And I love the style. I dislike that there is engine problems.

Basic midsize SUV with little identity.
Cx7 is FWD, good space, with outdated electronic console. The black finish highlights dirt very easily. Bumper damage is more expensive to fix than Honda. Poor gas mileage, and you need a mechanic to change the headlights. It is not a good interior finish if you have dogs.

Below average Mazda. Expensive to operate.
Only uses premium gas, handles terrible in snow. Braking is rough, abs is terrible. Uses more oil than most vehicles when getting an oil change.

Headlights keep burning out and expensive to replace
I love the size of the car. It gets great gas mileage. The front headlights keep burning out and they are very difficult to replace. The tires are also extremely expensive.

My Mazda is my dream car. Very reliable and safe.
The car is very sporty and cute. It drives well and it is very safe. I enjoy driving a Mazda.I plan on upgrading my car very soon to a Mazda cx 5. Mazda are very reliable, safe and convenient. The features in the car is great as well. The interior is nice and the seats are very comfortable.

It is a small SUV- which is great for parking.
There is not enough leg space in the back. Currently have a baby and the car seat takes up a lot of room which means the passenger seat has to be up. The leather is not helpful during the hot summer months. Overall, we have out used this car. Next car will try and get with more leg space and not leather.

Good reliable car. Needed some repairs.
Good car. It is very reliable, but it had bad lights. I have had to replace headlights. I love this car though! It is my go to car for traveling because of lots of room. I enjoy driving it around the city as well. I have had this car for 3 years and it is been good to me so far.

Mazda cx-7 review that I love! Such an awesome card to have.
I currently drive a Mazda cx-7 and I love it because it is so spacious and comfortable. Me and my family love to take it out on road trips. All of the seats lay completely down and we've actually even moved large items in it. We've even been able to fit an entire mattress in it and a couch! It is great when you have a large extended family so we can always pick up lots of my kids cousins and pile everyone in. I like that it is not super flashy and does not draw a lot of attention! The seats are heated and the ac is always cold. We've not had many problems with it since we've had it. It is very reliable and if something does go wrong it is always going to be easy to fix!

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Jace T.

This car has great gas Mileage on both hey and in the city, it is very reliable getting me from work to home and all my other activities and fun to drive on long road trips because it is comfy. I would recommend it for a small family.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Jace T.

The is car just does not have enough room for all the outdoor activities I do like snowboarding, mountain biking, surfing and so on. I would love to have this model in AWD but I do not think they make it.
