2016 Mazda CX-9 Overview, Reviews, Ratings & Specs

Here are the problems Mazda and its dealers would not fix: 1)Car takes forever to get warm, I own three other mazdas CX-5 and MX -5 all produce more heat in the winter it is not a comfortable car in winter Should have been a V6 engine instead of high performance four cylinders with turbos which need to get hot quickly to maintain turbo reliability rather than the cab heat. 2) On board dash display constantly has to reboot when starting the car from your phone causing delays to the map system. If your in sales its frustrating. Other manufacturer models have on board computer memories to prevent this. 3) Body molding components and fasteners are not high quality that you would expect from a $52,000 car

My Mazda cx-9 is a reliable car. It is really the workhorse for our family. We do a lot of hauling - items from hardware stores, groceries, soccer players carpool, the dog. We take it camping and on road trips. It is really our go-to vehicle. It is comfortable and has remained a pretty quiet ride for being four years old. Features are adequate for a mid-level model.

I like my vehicle for the most part. I do not like that it doesn't have a cd player. I also would prefer a lighter color

My son has a 2016 CX 9 which has developed a coolant leak that the dealer's tech could not find. Since it was still under warranty Mazda replaced the whole engine. I wonder if it is an engineering defect?

It's a grand family vehicle but wish we had gone with a truck instead. The third row is never used and we need the hauling room that a truck will give. Otherwise it has been a fine ride that has taken us on several long road trips. All in all would refer it to someone that needs a 7 passenger ride.
