Editor's Overview

Nearing the end of its life cycle the Mazda3 remains one of the most entertaining entries in its segment. For 2012, Mazda's compact gets a "Skyactiv" powertrain option bumping highway fuel economy to 40 mpg and helping the Mazda3 keep pace with its increasingly efficient competition.

My Mazda 3 is a pretty good vehicle.

The Mazda 3 is a reliable 6 speed manual vehicle that is very good on gas mileage. I get about thirty to thirty five miles per gallon, and overall fill up my gas tank two or three times a month. I do about 2 hour on commuting five days a week. One of the only issue that I have with it, as a tall man, is that there is not quite enough room for my legs. I am comfortable, but I cannot stretch out if I am the passenger. I do not need to stretch out when I am driving, but cannot do so comfortably when I am the passenger.

I have had no major reliability issues, having stuck to the manufacturer's service plan. My only complaint is that the road noises at high speed are louder in this vehicle than others I have driven. It is as comfortable ad you can get for an entry-level sedan, and it has basic features. I am easy to please, so the driving dynamics is what I look at. My Mazda performs exceptionally well. It only had a four-cylinder, but it gets things done. The handling is beautiful as well.

Mazda vehicles are great! The car is very comfortable, and drives very smooth. I currently am driving a Mazda 3 and the only issues I have had so far is the tensioner pulley that is worn down, and it creates a squeaking noise. Keep in mind that this is the first time something like this has happened, and the people that are letting me drive the vehicle for school purposes, have had it since 2013, brand new! I highly recommend this car to anyone interested in buying a Mazda!
