The perfect family and traveling vehicle.
The cars aspects of every category are 10/10 for me, little to no problems have been had other than the routine oil changes. A comfortable and spacious vehicle that's easy to clean, fitting 7 people max and foldable seats and compartments for items. It gets great mileage and is definitely reliable in my books for just about any given situation. Ideally the perfect family-oriented vehicle.

Cheap gas. Does not drive well on rain.
I really wish it were four wheel. Gas is cheap. But runs out fast. Wish it was more bigger. Back boot a little too small. Wish the doors could open by themselves. Did I mention that the gas is really cheap. Wish there were more cup holders. Does not drive too well in rain.

My Mazda 5 is my home away from home.
The Mazda 5 minivan drives well. The middle row and back row seats can be laid down to make a bed or to carry additional items. The middle row seats have storage underneath them. It is easy to get in and out of. It is a perfect vehicle for a small or medium sized family.

Great for a growing family.
Very peppy and reliable. Has a great design. Spacious for a young family. Very fuel efficient. With foldable seats you can create room for staff. Has 98k miles. Rears ac controls. Captains chairs gives access to easy back entrance. Definitely great for a young family.

Mazda 5. Excellent choice for comfort, convenience and reasonable cost.
Good size. Gets good mileage. Easy to see the surrounding traffic. Easy to park. Small enough to fit in any parking space. Enough inside space to transport larger items, such as the coffee table I recently purchased. The air conditioning works excellently which is very important in az.

An underrated great Mazda car: a minivan meets a sport car.
Mazda5 is a car which has already been discounted therefore the market value is not high. However, the minivan is so fun to drive and the semi manual shift gear does not make you feel bored. The capacity is fairly good; the middle and rear seats can be flat. . Mpg is not so great but not horrible as I do not drive everyday. . The response speed of semi manual shift down sometimes gets slow.

What's wrong with my mini-minivan.
The standard 4 cylinder engine does not perform like your average sedan. The handling is not a good as the Mazda 3 and when they roads is slippery it is unsteady even with stability control. The cabin is nose is high when driving long distances. The seating for 6 helps but lacks good storage when the seats are in the upright position.

Gas mileage amazing and roomie.
I love it good on gas and fit my whole family in it. The oil has been changed that was causing a problem with speed but it's a reliable car and I can go to the store and have plenty of room for groceries and children. Speed pick up is great and its mileage amazing.

Would not purchase! Better minivans for a better price out there.
My car has a rough ride. I hate the suspension. Makes for a very rough ride. The seats wore easy and are now uncomfortable. 3rd row seating is extremely small. Not enough technology in the car, etc. Rear controlled ac. Also too low to the ground. And the low profile tires kinda look dumb on a minivan.

Mazda 5 is too small for a big farm.
If I am driving by myself it is nice, but it does not have air vents in the back section. There is not enough room for a family of six even though it seats six it is a very tight squeeze and there is no trunk space if the third row of seats is up. I bought the a 2013 Nissan quest to have the space I need and the trunk space. I do like the leather seats. The front seats have seat warmers which is a nice feature. I like to the automatic windows and the sunroof.

My car is great on gas and I cannot think of any other good thing about it!
My 2010 Mazda 5 is great on gas. But it gives a lot of problems. The oxygen sensor is bad right now, my engine light is almost always on. I changed brakes and pads often. I would not get another Mazda vehicle. The battery was replaced a few times. The low beam light was changed 2 times.

Comfortable car but very low to the ground.
My biggest complaint about my car is that it does not have ground clearance. It is frustrating when to the car bottoms out on some roads and in the winter if the snow gets to high. The car is much lower than most sedans even. It drives well and gets my family where we need to go. The fact that it has a third row of seats has really been a big help for trips. The car is big enough to fit 6 adults into it.

It is durable and reliable.
I like how reliable the car is, especially for long trips. The car is also easily drivable and has the basic amenities, like ac and aux plug in. However you cannot remove anything from the 12v charging port.

Fast acceleration and nice features.
The car speeds up really quickly, has nice features like a sun roof seated heats and an awesome ac system. The seats are very comfortable and accommodate shorter people very well. It also has a very large trunk when you fold the back row of seats and is a lot of space for such a small car.

Mazda 5 Experience from my standpoint
It's a reliable car and it drives through any weather. It has 3 rows but limited trunk space. It is very comfortable but I honestly don't think it will last I'd ever in a car accident. Only real problem I've had was the cv joints but it wasn't costly to fix .

Mazda 5- Brakes for the Future
I have had some problems with the auxiliary speaker system as well as a lot of problems with the air conditioning- which is a problem as I live in the South. I do love the space and the reliability of the brakes, however! I have complete faith the brakes will last for a long time.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Pete L.

It handles well. The car gets good gas mileage. Comfortable ride. Very nice sound system. Accelerates well onto the highway. Sleek and stylish looking. Came with very good tires and a full sized spare. Quiet ride too.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Pete L.

The car is a little smaller than my last minivan which was a ford windstar. I would have liked more compartments for storage in the front. My last car had 2 cigarette lighters, this car has only one.
