Mazda is the key to driving.
My vehicle runs great it is excellent on miles per gallon. The interior of the car is modern as well as laid out to keep your car looking modern. The back seat is spacious with plenty of legroom, 3 adults can fit comfortably in the back seat. Trunk space is wonderful. The radio system is excellent. Driving in inclement weather vehicle does well. Controls in the vehicle are easy to operate. Steering wheel is easy to turn and navigate. The materials of the seats are comfortable and easy to clean.

The Mazda 5 can haul like a minivan but drives like a sports car.
I love my car's flexibility. I can lay all the seats down so I can haul a lot of stuff, or I can easily put the seats up to hold 6 passengers. It has the functionality of a minivan, but drives like a sports car.

Sporty and fun minivan for a small family.
It is a compact van that can seat 6 people. It is sporty and fun to drive with lots of power and acceleration. It has relatively good gas mileage and has not had any issues after 80k miles. The only drawback is if the 3rd row seats are pulled up then there is barely any luggage space.

My primary vehicle was purchased new at an affordable price, which made me happy. I was also thrilled to find a minivan that has a standard transmission. Score! I love that my vehicle feels very much like driving a sedan, despite it being a little minivan.
This vehicle is perfect for a family of four needing extra cargo and extra seating for under $20,000.

It has sliding doors but is not a full-size minivan.
I love the sliding doors and the two captains chairs in the middle. It is like a mini-minivan with sporty features.

I like that I can fit up to six passengers. I also like that I can connect my phone via bluetooth. The sliding doors are great for my kids so they don't ding into other cars. I dislike that the trunk says it's open even if there's practically only a speck of dust in it.
This car is great for families. It Fits 6 Passengers!

The Mazda 5 is a minivan but will perform like a reg size van just half size.
My Mazda 5 is honestly my favorite mini van by far. It's super comfy and I can Hull up to 6 people and makes it highly covenant for long trips. Great gas Mileage and performs really well for me no problems at all. And the third row seats fold down for a grocery Hull or big items and everyone fits well.

It's Great! It gets me from point a to point b. Also the gas is reasonable!
It's reliable. And I haven't had any issues with it!

The worst vehicle I have ever owned.
The Mazda 5 is not very well made. The front end is constantly out of alignment. Causing you to replace tires often. There is way to much road noise and vibration. The brake pedal is too close to the gas pedal my foot is constantly hitting both at same time not very safe.

It is nice to be able to drive up to 5 passengers and still remain spacious.
I do not like the look of it but other than that it is a pretty good car to drive. It is more of a around town car. It is not something you can take to the snow or anything so that is a minus. The gas mileage is not very good for how small of a car it is. But it does have 3 rows and can fit 6 which is nice.

Stylish, pretty and roomy but slow pick up.
My Mazda 5 is a pretty sparkly blue. It is also called a SkyVue model feature, and I looked this up on the internet but I could not find anything to inform me what that means. The Mazda 5 has a slow pick up, so you have to know this in your driving adventures. I have also needed to buy a new battery each and every winter. I still like the cars as it is roomy and comfortable.

Pros and Cons of Mazda 5.
My experience with my our Mazda 5 has overall been an ok to average. Pros: It's not too bad on gas. It has that extra row to accommodate up to six people. The extra row folds down which gives you a good amount of trunk space. Cons: It sits way to low and to the ground ( you can feel every bump). There's not enough leg room for tall folk like myself

Great mileage and visibility.
I like how it handles in everyday circumstances. It has more room in the back when back row seating is down. You can fit more than a sedan trunk but less than a tradition minivan. The gas mileage is great. It is not good in snow, and I usually do not drive it in snow because I know I will end up stuck somewhere!

It's too small to fit 6 people and have room for any cargo.
The gas mileage is good and the car runs smoothly. However, it's too small. Although it fits 6 people it's a very tight fit and no storage room.
accountCircle Cheryl K
It is classified as a SUV but looks and acts more like a minivan.
It is a good sturdy running vehicle. The only problems I have found is the leg room is awful small. We enjoy the vehicle though.

Great performance with great cargo space.
Comfort is fair, the interior is sparse but the performance is very good. The interior space is great. I originally purchased it so that my dog could have easy access. It is excellent for small children and has enough space to haul a lot of items. Currently this model is discontinued.

It is a good family vehicle.
It is a car I feel comfortable to drive. I the one we use for long trips. I think it is save. It has great space for my kids and our dog and when family comes to visit we can fit 6 in the car. It also has great space to pack out traveling stuff. I really like it.

I love my mazda 5 mini minivan.
I call my mazda5 minivan a mini minivan. It is smaller than the other minivans and it drives like a sedan. It has been very reliable and I have had no major mechanical issues. It is comfortable and easy to get in and out of the back row. It only accommodates two people in the back due to it is smaller size, but it is a good fit for our family. It is affordable due to it is no frills. That is fine with me.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Tony C.

It has a lot of storage and can be good for road trips. It also gets fairly decent/good gas mileage which is nice. Further, it is very easy to handle and park as it is not bulky, which makes parking anywhere very easy.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Tony C.

The major con seems to be the lack of durability of certain parts of the car. For instance, we have had to get the brakes replaced multiple times and have had to take it to the car shop more often than we would have liked. Especially compared to other cars we have had in the past.
