Love my mazda 6 My next vehicle will be Mazda but suv
Great gas mileage. Its comfortable even on long trips, plenty of leg room and storage. Never had a major problem till now a vacuum leak .

Super reliable commuter car for cheap!
I love my Mazda! I bought it used outright from a friend with 132k miles and in a year and a half am at 170k miles. Super reliable! I drive like a crazy person, and not once has my car broken down on me! In almost 40k miles of hard driving, all I have paid for is basic upkeep (tires, brakes, oil change, battery, etc). Loads of trunk space, and she drives very smooth for me. Super reliable car and a Mazda really can make it to 300k miles no problem if you keep up on the maintenance. I would definitely recommend! Plus great on gas mileage.

Old car but still seems new.
No real problems except for problems I have caused. Some recalls as always because older car. I have had to replace alternator but that is it. Gets very good gas mileage and is a very efficient car. My car has 146, 000 miles on it and still runs very well.

Comfortable and reliable, worth considering.
Great driving car, comfortable for long trips, reliable and decent fuel mileage, has had only moderate maintenance needs and meets my needs well; for being 13+ years old, it runs well, looks good, gets me where I want to go; insurance is reasonable, and it has a good track record for reliability and endurance, I drive it short distances to work each day and also for longer trips between 1 hour and 3 hours without any issues, maintenance costs are reasonable and parts are available, I honestly would buy another Mazda again because of my experience with this car, I have looked at newer Mazda 6's as well as the SUV options from Mazda. I like the Mazda dealership where I have gone for maintenance - very user friendly. I also like the size of the car. Big enough for four people to travel comfortably, can fit five if necessary yet small enough to handle well in traffic. Is fairly quiet especially with good tires. Lots of tire options. Lots of storage areas in the car which comes in handy.

My Mazda 6 gets me where I need to go in style.
I love this car. The V6 engine has great pick up. The Bose speakers are fantastic. The leather finished seats, moonroof, and hatchback sporty trunk are a nice touch. I have owned this car for 14 years, and it still isn't much different from the day I got it.

2005 Mazda 6! Very spacious, fully loaded, Wonderful vehicle to own.
I've had my vehicle for over fifteen years. I bought it as a teenager in high school it's has been an amazing car to me it's never failed me !! Never had any problem what do ever but I did keep up with oil changes and tune ups and whatever else I had to do to keep it maintained! I took my car on plenty of trips over the years and couldn't be more happier with this vehicle it's comfortable seats and powerful ac made it very easy to travel! Not to mention the lightweight body and the four cylinder saved a whole lot on gas. When I purchased my vehicle it came with tinted windows new tires very large trunk which the back seat would allow you to fold down for large items. Speakers in the back seat along with four cup holders and automatic windows the trunk also has a very large compartment for a spare tire and any tools you might need to change a tire. Front has automatic seats as well as windows and rear view mirrors that you can adjust with a push of a button. All in all I would definitely recommend this car to anyone it's very reliable nice and spacious and with all the features it comes with not to mention the four cylinder which helped a whole lot on gas. I had to gas up literally once every two weeks. I couldn't have chosen a better more reliable first time vehicle purchase as a teenager vehicle.

The sound system in the car is absolutely spectacular
Very reliable vehicle, has never failed me beyond my own mishandling. It does seem to go through tires somewhat faster than other vehicles I have experienced, but I am not sure if that directly relates to any fault of the vehicle. It's very comfortable to sit in, and the spacious back seat which can become an extension or the trunk allows me to transport object normally reserved for a pickup truck.
accountCircle Danielle G
Great gas mileage for that size of truck.
Like- sporty, fast, good mpg.. Dislike- not enough storage, not great in snow or rain.. Vehicle has caused problems traveling in inclement weather..

It is a workhorse that seems to never want to quit.
The car in its prime was sporty looking and comfortable. It has a 4 cylinder so I should have went with the sport model. I do like the car and it has been very reliable as I am nearing 240k miles on it. Nothing but normal maintenance done to it. Seems like it could go another 100k if properly maintained.
accountCircle Sean G
Vehicle has a big trunk to put stuff in.
It gets me from one place to another. Ac Gets the car cool very quick. I do not like that I cannot play music through my phone.

The Mazda 6 is great at being average
It has average gas mileage. A lot of problems have surfaced, such as with the alternator. However, I think they have so much more to do with the amount of miles on the car. In my case, 150K.
accountCircle Omar P
Smooth ride, inconsistent acceleration, lacks aux jack, comfortable, reliable.
The car is very comfortable and reliable. However it is lacking in the features as it is an older model so it does not have an aux jack and requires you to buy a wireless FM transmitter or buy a kit to switch your CD system to an aux jack. The car has the ability of switching between automatic and manual at any time, however I have only used automatic as I can't drive manual. The car drives nice and smooth but sometimes is a bit slow on the acceleration and other times its extremely responsive. Engine runs pretty hot so it will give off a ton of heat even when just idle.
accountCircle Aliyah S
It is a great option for students.
I like the functionality of my vehicle. I do not like how slow the acceleration is, wish it was smoother.

Well-driven 2005 Mazda 6 grey sedan
Never had to make any big expensive repairs and in all it's been a very reliable car. It is starting to slowly fall apart thought. The headliner is coming down, pieces are falling off, etc.
accountCircle Debi N
It is a very dependable car n has a Ford engine.
I like how stylish the car is. It gets really good gas mileage. It is fully loaded. I can go from 0 mph to 65 mph in apx 5 seconds. It has wonderful performance
accountCircle David P
Snow white. Runs and drives. Cannot complain.
Reliable car if maintained. Has good amount of legroom. Car sits a little bit lower. Quick. All black leather seats, alloy rims. Good on gas. I use it to get from a to b on a daily basis. A lot of performance part can be upgraded to the car. Overall if you are looking for something reliable and quick this is the vehicle.

It is a 4 door sedan. It has a/c that still works well.

The wagon is able to fit a lot more thing in the trunk.
I like that there is a lot of trunk space and it's longer than most cars. I also like that it still gets pretty good gas mileage. I like that it is fairly reliable and doesn't break often. I dislike how low it is to the ground.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Caroline M.

It is a compact vehicle that parks easily while still has plenty of trunk room for carrying things and moving. The car gets good gas mileage and is a long lasting car. I also like the fact that it can carry 5 people comfortably.

likeFilled Caylee R.

It is a very safe and reliable car. I have had a few issues with it, but nothing too big. It gets me where I need to go in a comfortable manner. It has a radio and I can listen to CDs. It is also a very good looking car.

likeFilled Logan H.

The Mazda 6 gets good gas mileage, around 30 mph, runs very quietly compared to other vehicles, the seating is very comfortable and spacious, comes with very high quality Bose speakers up front, and is a very good looking car that feels very sporty.

likeFilled Amber C.

Great on gas, no major problems since I got it in 2006. Interior is all leather so it is easy to clean. For the 14 years that I have had it, the paint is still clean with a few minor rust areas. Easy to clean.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Caroline M.

This vehicle unfortunately does not have an AUX cord so I cannot hook my phone up to the speaker system. The air/heat vents are also think so it does not fit a phone holder or air fresheners very well.

dislikeFilled Caylee R.

There is not an auxiliary cord for me to plug my phone in to listen to music. The fabric on the ceiling is falling down from the years of use. There was a recall for the passenger side airbag but I got it taken care of.

dislikeFilled Logan H.

Have had a few mechanical issues over three years, there was a recall on their airbags which is a little concerning, the display is glitched and will not actually show anything, there is no aux port so you have to add a second hand one to listen to your own music.

dislikeFilled Amber C.

The AC has went out a few times. We had a recall on the airbags and had to go get that fixed, it was free through Mazda. Gets very hot inside because of the leather seats. The window tint has bubbles easily once I got it.
