I think that the gas usage is good for the price of the car and with the ever-rising gas prices the usage per mile is good.
I enjoy the gas usage, which is around average for the car's year. I also enjoy the automatic windows and the ability to move the mirrors from the inside if necessary. I dislike the cramped legroom and the confusing speedometer markings. I dislike the seatbelts since they are complicated to use and never seem to work properly.

Its gets really good gas mileage but parts are hard to find.
Nice little car to get from A to B, gets good gas mileage about 33 miles to the gallon. Engine doesn't have a lotta get up and go but once up to speed handle just fine. Nothing fancy but an ok everyday driver.

Dependable work very low great mileage
Alternator problems. Have to keep replacing. Have done so 3 times since bought car. Otherwise there are no Porter problems. It's a dependable car with very low gas mileage. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a convenient dependable family car.

Keep up on the maintenance and it will last a long time.
It's been fairly reliable over the 11 years I've had it. I like the sunroof and that it's a manual transmission. It handle well in a variety of conditions.

It does not have good gas mileage for being a emission friendly car
Slow and has very little go power. Sometimes the check engine light comes on and wont turn off for a while even with obd2 scan

This car will never die
I am finally giving my baby a rest. She's 19. I've had her 14 of those years. She has some rust near rear wheel wells that never seems to get any worse. NY weather. She drives great. Still. Ordinary maintenance over the years. I will miss her. But I'm sure she will be great to whomever buys her from me in the future. I LOVE this car!!!!

One of the most important things others should know is that my vehicle is great for getting around. It better suits for people who don't want to have a lot of passengers.
The thing I love most about my vehicle is that it is a small car. I don't have to spend a lot on parts if needed to be fix, low gas price, and its convenient to get around. The dislikes I have about my car is the it was used when I bought it, so it is a little worn. Also, I have a larger family which cause conflict when needed to go somewhere and the weight down on the struck.

Reliable basic vehicle for long term use.
The vehicle has held up enormously well over many years. It is reliable. I have had to replace the air conditioning system and the radiator as well as several tubes and fuses, and now 18 years later the transmission mounts are shot. However it still functions well. It is comfortable but not fancy, and does not have automatic features such as door locks or windows. It is a great vehicle for transportation purposes.

Best thing about this car is that it gets great gas mileage, 35 miles to the gallon.
This car gets great gas mileage about 35 to the gallon. It doesn't have much get up and go however, the engine is pretty weak. No bells and whistles. Not very comfortable for long trips. Handles decent. Would recommend for a daily driver, gets you from point to point b.

I love the color of the car. It is a green which is very unique.
My car has very good mileage for how old it is. It has a very comfortable interior. I added a Bluetooth aux for music which works very well. All features in the car work perfectly. The car is great for a high schooler or student in college. Works very well in all sorts of conditions such as rain, snow and sleet.

The customized features have added to the maintenance cost.
It was the cheapest on the lot when I needed to buy. It was a lemon. It had been customized with oversized rims and deluxe air filters. Those parts have been a pain to replace and maintain, and that has added to the cost of operating the car.

It gets good gas mileage on the highway and in the city.
I have gone through several water pumps in 3 years. The car is rusting in many spots despite the paint being in perfect condition.

Mazda prodigy: it's somewhat ok.
The engine is really shaky and the tires have to be replaced consistently do to wear and tear. Gas is really good on it though and other then the engine it runs pretty good and most the time we don't have to turn it on six times in a row to get it to start.

Living with a Mazda protege.
I never have had any major problems with my car. I haven't attended to basic issues of maintenance like I should be doing. Usual things come up like changing the battery, changing oil, spark plugs, tires etc. My car would run a lot better like I said if I performed basic maintenance on the car.

Mazda protege 2001 low miles, reliable, has new tires new radiator.
No problems with the car, great on gas, low mileage. Very clean, comfortable seating. Ac works, new radiator, new tires. I feel safe in this car. It's always been a non smoking car. Its reliable, I have it washed every other week, more during the winter months.

It loses a lot in gas mileage when the a/c is on.

It has never broken down on me. My car interior is in very good condition especially for its age.
I like the color and it's reliability. No serious complaints. I wish the cup holders were deeper. It has a little bit of rust as well.

Good trusty car but getting old.
The car is a good car but it is getting old. It also is a stick shift which can be hard when driving in the snow.

My car is extremely well maintained in relation to most other cars. I plan on keeping this car until the tires fall off or it is more cost efficient to buy a new one than continue maintenance.
I have like my car for many years as it has served Its purpose. Over the last several years however, there have been a lot of major maintenance issues with the car. In general, the car is small, fuel efficient, and dependable.

I love my car. It is a manual which I find easy to drive. It is great when it comes to gas mileage. It has a decent sized trunk. I have had trouble with the engine a little bit here lately but I also have 200, 000 miles on it. Overall it is a great car.

Mazda does produce a very reliable car. Good on fuel.
We have had really no major issues with are car. We got it used with one previous owner. Been taken care of. Just the usual maintenance unless something major goes wrong then its shop time. It is very good on gas. Easy to maintain. Rides really well. Our dog loves riding in it.

It will get you to your destination without any problems and it runs well on gas.
Its a 2001 Mazda protege, with a little over 145,000 miles on it. It runs smooth but it makes a slight noise sometimes

Finding parts is easy and cheap.
Great mileage per gallon of gas. Runs great for having more than 185,000 miles. Rust damage to the back bumper and wheel wells. Sun damage to the clear paint coat.

Very good car love it I would like to have a new one.
No problem with it I love it runs great small I can park it anywhere good color. Good breaks good seat over all great I would process another one like that. Only think I don't like is the radio it should be more high tech. I would like to have heat seats and better seat covers overall good.
