It is not a common car in the street and turns heads
It does not go past 50 mph. And there is smoke that comes out of the exhaust system. And oil needs to be put in frequently other than that my vehicle runs pretty well. My main concern is the not going past 50 mph. I think it is the throttle body. Position sensor

Cocoon with a rotary engine
This is my dream car and I love it to pieces! I love the sleek design, and the inside feels like my own personal cocoon: bucket seats, small windows and all. Even though I would like to point out that it does feel bigger on the inside that most people would assume. The thing that most people have a hard time with is the rotary engine. It takes some warming up, so you can't just jump in and go. Coil packs and spark plugs need more frequent changing, and you basically have to disassemble half the car to get there! It's certainly not a car for everybody. It's an acquired taste.

Mazda RX8 - The best impractical decision I ever made!
The Mazda RX8 is not a car for everyone. It is so close to the ground that I got stuck on a coconut once, it eats up coil packs and spark plugs like you wouldn't believe, and the rotary engine requires an extra trick or two every time you turn it on. That being said, it is an incredibly stylish, reactive, balanced and grounded ride. The inside feels like a little cocoon (ven though you'd be surprised how much c**p you can fit in there!), and the outside wows people wherever you go. It is a shame that production ended years ago, and I am thrilled that I was able to find one in excellent condition to make mine.

Reliable rotary engine review.
The rx8 really needs care and attention and in return it provides you with a smooth and enjoyable ride. The rotary engine can surprise you and can last as long as any other piston engine as long as it is properly taken care of. A rotary will really burn through it is liquids so you will have to make sure everything is topped off pretty regularly. Having regular and consistent oil changes will also help in the long run. This car will be a great car but knowledge is needed to make it last.

Great vehicle but has a few weird kinks.
There is a buzzing sound from the radio when driving. Although it goes great around corners. The execration is explicable. Burns through gas real quick though. Very safe sports car with stylish and expensive interior. I have had the car for about 9 months and I have had to get the breaks fixed 2 times in that 9 months.

It has an attractive sleek body style. The 6 speed transmission is fun
I've had the RX8 for a few years the only issues I have had so far is a few misfires due to spark plugs that were difficult to use. I've had to replace a part in which only Mazda can get and install but I cannot recall the name of the part. It has a few issues that basic mechanics cannot fix due to the fact that they have know knowledge about this model. All in all it's an ok vehicle but it does have its issues.
