Very user friendly - easy to navigate the features.
This car is very user friendly and easy to drive. Very smooth drive. No problems except - ac not strong enough. Seats are very comfortable. I have not had any issues. Service has been good. The car has good power and acceleration. It is very spacious inside and handles the road very well.

Great car if you cannot get away from an SUV.
The AMG is critical for the car. It is super fun to drive, feels and sounds like a sports car. The comfort level is great. The only thing I would knock is the navigation system is dated and not great. It is also not easy to use your phone as a substitute.

Love my car, definitely recommend it to anyone getting an SUV!
Love it- it is a great SUV, very comfortable. Even sitting in the back is comfortable. Plenty of trunk space. Rides great. Perfect size, no problems ever. Stereo is great, car handles awesomely. Love the interior, the panoramic sunroof, the interior color - light tan and coffee brown interior.

It has the latest technology and handles well! It's the perfect size not too large and not small either.
It is very practical for my lifestyle. This SUV is sophisticated and well equipped.

My vehicle is sleek, modern, and user friendly.
My car is extremely reliable. I love the features, it is pretty high tech and extremely user friendly. One of my favorite features is the apple car play. I think the best physical feature is the backup/satellite and front camera. The keyless start and keyless entry are also super convenient. I really like the sport/comfort mode options as well.

Mercedes luxury and comfort.
The car it is what you expect and more for a Mercedes. The car is really comfortable and has a lot of smart technology. I love the comfort mode on the car feeling like you are driving on air, I highly recommend this car to anyone looking for luxury and extreme comfort.

I'd consider this car not only a luxury car but also extremely safe.
I chose the gle-350 because I felt safe. The features and the mirrors and the accessibility to move the mirrors was what I rely on. I also have found the censors extremely helpful especially on the right side of the car. A few times, I have had my car emergency stop. When this occurs, the brakes lock up and your seat belt tightens you as if bracing for impact. I can be startling but often it prevents the accident or fender bender before it even happens. I feel very comfortable in this car and feel as if it is trying to keep me safe. I have driven it for over 2 years and haven't been in a wreck with it yet (knock on wood).

Nothing like a Benz! Built to keep you safe and last!
My only gripe about the vehicle is that it only has a one CD slot player, but I understand many mfgs are eliminating CD players altogether. However not everyone listens to music on their Iphone

Car dies while driving without any warning
I own a 2018 GLE 43 AMG and it has been a total nightmare for me. This car died multiple times while driving without any kind of warning. Had this happen three times, once in highway and twice in city traffic. On the first occasion, Mercedes said there's nothing wrong with the car and just gave it back to me. Second time, I brought it in (after the shut down on highway), they changed some parts and rebuilt the engine claiming "it's same as brand new engine cuz it's rebuilt). I wish that was the case, but unfortunately it happened again. Spent 11months at the shop out of 2 years. Car looks beautiful, I would recommend buying this car if you are willing to have it for display only.

Long distance driving in winter
My vehicle (a Canadian 2018 GLE 400 - suspiciously no such category available) cannot operate in temperatures below -20°C (-4°F) for extended non-stop driving. I bought the thing because it had the best range (miles or km between fill-ups) of any mid-size CUV (and it is a CUV, not an SUV) on the market at the time. BUT - in temps below -20°C (-4°F) the PCV system freezes and ALL of the crankcase oil is inhaled by the engine. It is burned, not spilled. Like 3 liters (or quarts) in a few minutes. If you are driving in daylight, you can see the black cloud being laid down behind you. If you are driving at night, at low speed (read engine rpm) you'll get a tell-tale miss, but at higher speed you won't notice anything until the non-urgent message "Check engine oil level at next fill-up" appears. Press OK on the steering wheel controls, and all is well. Too bad for you - your engine has just consumed all of its lube oil. This has happened to me several times. I was told by M-B Canada customer service that there was a fix. I was told by my dealer when they were supposed to be installing "the fix" that there was no fix for this engine, and my problem was that I was driving extended distances in harsh climates. I bought the vehicle at a dealership with the same climate in which I live and drive. They tell me this is a "one-off". This is the second 2018 GLE400 that I have owned. The first was replaced BY THE DEALER after the engine was damaged by the problem, and M-B would not offer a solution because they insisted the vehicle warranty would take care of me if the engine cratered. I own the vehicle. It is not leased or financed. I expected to have a reliable vehicle long after the warranty expires. Now I am stuck with an expensive vehicle that I cannot use for 6 months of the year. The dealer has said he will help me get out of it, but I have not heard from him for 2 weeks. Really regret buying this P.O.S. Cannot believe there are not other reports of this problem that I have experienced several times in two different 2018 GLE400 vehicles. Buyer beware.

Feels top heavy especially during turns!
It is very top heavy and not stable on turns. We even bought the upgraded suspension and drive in sport mode most the time. The turns make you feel like you are riding a roller coaster. We have an Audi SUV and it is much more stable. I just love the look of the Mercedes better!

I absolutely love my Mercedes!
I absolutely love my Mercedes. I bought my Mercedes when I was 5 months pregnant so I would have a safe and reliable car to transport my daughter. Features that I love about my Mercedes includes the Mercedes app, I can schedule payments, lock and unlock my car, and start my car from my phone. The Mercedes is also extremely comfortable to ride in while taking long trips. It is our car of choice for going anywhere.

Looks: this is the most attractive vehicle in the class.
So far no problems, other than general maintenance. Although initially I had to leave it in the shop for over a week due to engine mount issues, but that was fixed under warranty. Comfort is great. This car is very fast and it gets a lot of attention still.

Is The 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class A Good Value?

It cost me about 35,000. I think for the price I got it at, it was very good. Of course, I wanted a newer version but this was just as good.
Cherlyn S.
With the options I got. moonroof, heated seats and steering wheel it was 42,000. I do feel it is overpriced and not the best value. You can get more for your money with other brands
