Love my mini cooper s 2013 this model has been discontinued.
Love my car and fun to drive. No dealership in my city some cannot get repairs at dealership. Some repairs are expensive and timely. Two seater and roomie trunk. Must on top of repairs and maintenance. Does not hold value well and has mini auto club in my area.
accountCircle Dawn R
It is roomier inside than it looks.
I love how cute it is. It is dependable and reliable. It is quick and fun to drive. When I replace it will be with another mini.

2013 mini cooper s jcw, cherry red.
She is a very fast and reactive car. My car is very responsive and is like a supercharged go kart and is very fun to drive. It is standard and was tricky to learn but is fun nonetheless. There are only a few problems that tend to happen, being that the airbag reader tends to read the wrong thing.
accountCircle Noriko S
My cute mini is small but offers spacious and comfortable inside.
I cannot think of any problems I had with my vehicle. It is very comfortable and reliable for sure. It is a small car so it is very easy to maneuver and it can fit in a tight parking spot. The design is very cute and unique. Even though it is small, the inside is rather spacious and the hatchback makes it easy to put large items such as luggage and boxes. The performance of the car is outstanding.

I love my mini and do not have any negative things to say about it.
My mini has lots of get up and go. I get around thirty miles per gallon mileage. It has a great turn ratio. It is very easy to park. There is a lot more room in it than it looks like, when the seats are down. It has additional storage in another area in the trunk.
accountCircle Natalie M
I do not have any issues with my car. I absolutely love how small and cute it is and the gas mileage is definitely amazing.
Do not try and over use the sport mode, it will wear off the tread of your tires faster.
accountCircle Jacob P
42 MPG overall and a blast to drive. It is very distinctive and easy to pick out in a crowd.
I love the handling and drivability it has. The short wheelbase makes steering very responsive. I can park almost anywhere. My only complaint is the ride, but it is very light.

Surprisingly practical sport
Gets great gas mileage and rides smoothly; can be uncomfortable on long rides given the level of support in the driver's seat. Surprising amount of space especially with the back seats put down.

0/10 would not recommend to anyone.
Very expensive to maintain and keep up with, bad gas mileage, very small. Does not accelerate fast enough makes it hard to merge on the freeways. Oil changes are about $120 and any time I have a mechanical problem it is upwards of $4k. Not worth what it is I have put more money into fixing it than what the car is worth.
accountCircle Jason S
I like its design. But the price is a little bit expensive compared with other vehicles. Also, the car is not that comfortable to drive in.
Even though price is high, size is small, MINI is cute.
accountCircle Howard T
This brand products very intelligent cars in terms of design and included features but they are very expensive to repair when things go wrong the same way BMW, the owner of Mini Cooper and Mercedes are.
I love the twelve foot length and slightly more than five foot width because it is a dream to park this car anywhere and at 3000 pounds it is also extremely steady on the road. I hate the maintenance costs after 4 years and do not believe things like the front suspension, battery, and exhaust pipe should have failed early in year five with less than 30,000 miles on the car.

I love my mini cooper totally worth it.
A mini cooper is really great but it is hard to find the car parts, most of the time you have to order it online. Their car parts are expensive and sometimes hard to find. Also not all mechanics are familiar with the mini coopers. When you change the filter or do other things it has to have specifically its original part and not a copy.
accountCircle Michele E
The mini coop is small and can fit into tight spaces.
The right side passenger door handle started falling off so I tried to take it apart and fix the door. I couldn't put it back together correctly, so now the door will not go on right therefore it doesn't open by passenger from outside. It can only be unlocked from the inside by pulling on the handle.

Reliability
I love my Mini I worry about how to fix problems.. ! No many people work on the although so many people have them

Great car for students/young people.
Mini cooper is a great car for students/young people. Not too many problems with the car, other than normal wear and tear with tires, brakes, etc. It performs really well, sport mode is noticeably different and has a kick to it. Very reliable, still has not broken down on me. The comfort is lacking, as with most mini coopers. The back seat can fit 2 people, but since I am a tall male, people who usually sit behind me have a very uncomfortable ride. The front seats, however, are very comfortable. The double sunroof feature is really nice.

2nd gen. Mini cooper issues.
Costs of maintenance can be high if you are not doing them yourself or are unable to bring your own parts to a shop for replacement or repair. 2nd gen model can have issues of when oil light comes on it is already too late. The bluetooth link from cell phones to in car speakers are not effective as it is hard to hear over road/highway noise.

Pros from Owners

My Mini Cooper fits me. Like a comfortable pair of snug and cozy boots, my car wraps around me and makes me happy. The ride is smooth and comfortable and I adore the wheelbase size you can literally turn on a dime.

likeFilled Jersey B.

Nice drive around town car that handles very smoothly and zips around and is fun to drive. Not that great for storage though or long trips. The international handles are a little on the cheap side. Feels like you are driving a go-kart.

likeFilled Madison M.

Easy to maneuver on the road. Easy to park. Easy to put the seats down and fill the car (spacious trunk). It has heated seats. It is got a nice interior. It is easy to see out of blind spots because the rear windows are big enough. There are two sunroofs. It is small and easy to clean. It is really sleek and sporty looking without breaking the bank, so it makes me feel special.

likeFilled Ella C.

It has great gas mileage, a good turning radius, it is compact, and it is lots of fun to drive. Not many maintenance issues. It is highly customizable. It has a high safety rating. Interesting interior design.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Mary M.

My three grandsons are getting too big to all fit in my mini at the same time. Makes taking them places together a mite difficult. The car is mini and you cannot expect it to hold everything, but sometimes you forget and then have to deal with the consequences.

dislikeFilled Jersey B.

Barely any storage room and it is a bit on the small side so not good for long road trips and the interior handles are a bit on the cheap side. I do not like that you have to put higher octane fuel in it or it can really mess up the engine too.

dislikeFilled Madison M.

It is low to the ground so rocks on the road chip the bumper easily. It is a two door car and hard to get people in the back seat. There is not a ton of storage space like the glove compartment or middle console. It does not have any of that really.

dislikeFilled Ella C.

There's not always enough room in the back to transport things. There's no armrest. It can be expensive to get some pretty basic things put in your base model car. Not a whole lot of quick acceleration or horsepower but that is not a big issue for me.

Is The 2013 MINI Cooper A Good Car?

Yes, I love my mini cooper. I bought it brand new in 2013 and it is still a fantastic car. Would purchase again.
Aly V.
Yes! It is great on gas and extremely silent. It also has a surprising amount of trunk space. The leg room is generous as well considering the size.
Serraya Q.
Yes! Driving Is fun! No mechanical problems... love putting it in sport mode!! Heavy car U feel safe in it!! Live the sporty style.
A M.
I enjoy it, it's spacious inside with the seats down which makes it great for packing for traveling. It fits in many parking spots in the city and its been reliable
Pamela P.
Simply the best little vehicle I could own. It is so fun I sometime feel like a little girl driving a toy car.

How Reliable Is The 2013 MINI Cooper?

The mini cooper has been a reliable vehicle for me. I love this car. It got me back and forth from work and back everyday, which for a year was a 40 mile trek one way.
Aly V.
It is definitely reliable for a single person with no family, however there's not a lot of trunk space, and though it claims it can fit 3 people that is a stretch. It is also slow to start and stop in... Read More

I have had no problems with this car. I get an oil change every year. I have had to put new tires on it. But that is it!!
Aaron H.
I have not had any problems so far so yes it has been reliable and we have driven to Yosemite from Southern California
Abbey K.
Very reliable I zip around town doing all my running around and never have a lick of any problems, Extremely happy with this purchase.

Is The 2013 MINI Cooper A Good Value?

We'r e upside down on this vehicle right now so I am not sure if I would consider this a good value. But it has been a good car for me and I intend to keep it until I am unable to drive it.
Aly V.
If you get it used like myself and many people I use it is $9,500+ and that is a good price that is not hard to find.
Serraya Q.
The car cost 27,000... I believe. I think it was a great value compared to other cars I looked at. I would buy again!!
Faith C.
I got it pre-owned for a decent cost. The month payments are low; otherwise the cost of repair are a bit higher than the average car
Orlando D.
I paid $18,000.00 for 2013 IN 2015. The little red runabout had 38,000 miles on her and now in 2019 she has 59,000. Very good car
