Great car to buy: a lot of work but it is worth it.
I bought my car used with about 10, 000 miles on it probably a bit more. It did have a lot of problems engine wise and I did put in a lot of work into the car. But I am happy I got it because I love this car. I love how fast it is and how even though I drive it for small road trips almost every week, it still runs great.

I love my Eclipse I have had it since 2001 and it has been reliable it is never broke down on me and it is the paint is chipped a little bit in the interior crack but overall it is an excellent vehicle I recommend this vehicle to anyone that is looking for a nice vehicle.

Great Feel, Sporty Design Fantastic mileage loads of storage
Wonderful road feel and pick up 25 mi to the gallon on the road. Lots of room to haul things. The feel of a comfort car and the looks of a sport car

Great car to have if you want to learn about engines!
When I first got my car, it had some engine problems but nothing too big. I fixed them and now it runs smoothly! I love the car and I love it being a convertible! Next thing I have to do to the car is fix the seals on the roof since it does leak which happens with old convertibles but honestly, I could care less about the leak because it is such a great car so that one problem is nothing compared to everything else.

I love it, it doesnt love me back
Nice and reliable, but things start going bad at 100k miles. Wonderfully fun and easy to drive. Handles smooth.

The eclipse is a cute, sporty car that's reliable.
My car is an awesome little sports car. It's a bit older but has such a nice, sporty look. It's been very reliable with regular oil changes.

Dream import, sporty nature.
Reliable and great performance has never let me down. Great mileage, do not have to really spend that much on gas to be honest. Only complaint is not much space but its too be expected for a sporty vehicle. Repairs can be expensive since its an import but in my opinion imports are better and more reliable. The sunroof is really nice and you can feel the breeze.

Read buyer ratings first before purchasing any vehicle.
There have been many factory issues like the paint, internal overheating, and other recalls.

Looks are NOT everything!
I like it because it's sharp & fast. I Dislike because the A/C doesn't work & to many motor problems.

Gasoline hungry but great performance.
It is great on speed and traction. But horrible on gas. The dashboard was made with the worst plastic ever. It has a problem with the ignition system, but cheaply fixable. All in all it's a decent car to own. I would recommend it to anyone. For the year of the car, I expected a worse condition.

Mitsubishi Eclipse: pretty okay car
It's kind of small and compact. It sits really low and there's virtually no room in the back seats for your legs. Don't like the tinted windows. Stereo is not too loud, wish it was louder. Poor ac system. Other than that pretty okay. It gets good gas mileage. Had to recently fix the belt and pulley.

Reliability of the Mitsubishi Eclipse
The car is pretty reliable but it has its flaws. It's no sports car but I find it takes a while for it to accelerate once my foot is on the gas. The small build of the car allows me to feel like I have a lot of control while driving. The steering and brakes are also very sharp and it helps me stay in control while driving. I find the miles per gallon on this car to be better than many cars and it is really fuel efficient. I wish the seats had a feature that allowed them to elevate instead of just going forwards and backwards. I think the battery life on the car could be improved, I often find myself just listening to the radio without driving and noticing the battery starting to die out. Also even though the car is only a two doors I feel the back seats could use just a little more space.

It is spacious and can surprisingly fit a lot of items in it. Very reliable car!.
I love how smooth is feels when its driven but after approximately 100k miles electric starts going on this type of a car. Which is a huge issue.
