Reliable. For a 2005 we have taken the car on the beach the mountains and snow.
2005 2 break jobs, one tune up and 229520 miles & work like a charm. Starts right up. Few rust spot and very good mileage.

It is good for road trips. It has lots of space. Good gas mileage.
It is a really good and comfortable car. It has plenty of space, and it is good to drive it on road trips. I have hardly had any problems with the car. Good gas efficient car per mileages. It runs smooth, and has bright light to see good in the dark.

My life with an outlander.
I have a 2005 Mitsubishi outlander crossover/SUV, its super reliable, very roomy. It has 282k miles on it and it still runs like a champ, I honestly recommend getting an outlander, they are built to last. The only issue I've had with my car was the timing belt snapped but got it replaced and it started up again without any issues.

It gets amazing gas mileage and it is comfortable to drive.
I like that it sits up higher from the ground. The hatchback gives me more room then a trunk. I do not like that the seats do not sit up straighter.

Reliable and great looking compact SUV.
I like the compact size of the SUV and has 3 rows. Great fuel efficiency. Air conditioner works wonderful throughout the summer months. Drives smooth, upkeep on vehicle is very easy. Factory radio is excellent and sound is superior. Works great going to work and home but also reliable on road trips out of town.

My vehicle goes from point A to B. I can say it is reliable and is great on gas.
I constantly have problems with the wheels. The wheel alignment is a constant problem. While I am driving on the highway the steering wheel shakes and feels as if the wheels are going in their own direction. On top of that the lever for the gas is rusted which makes it hard to fill up my gas tank. I feel as if I am constantly throwing money in this car.

Unreliable Mitsubishi Outlander
Constant issues with the motor and electrical system. Service engine soon light is always on. Everything has needed to be replaced within the past year and the vehicle is totally unreliable. The small comfort benefits are great including heated seats and media player.

It's designed for off-road capability. It's gear train system is very limited.
Body shape visually unappealing. Interior very basic. Engine performance 1/10. Engine revs and the the vehicle basically goes nowhere when the kick down is engaged.

Runs a,axing. Never lets me down. Engine motor everything internally has been rebuild brand new.
It's free no monthly payments so that's why I don't hate it. But the exterior out the car looks like bullets have been shot at it and the paint is coming off. The leather inside is all cracked.

Air Conditioner is not very strong, but it heats very well.
The air conditioning doesn't work as well as I would like. But, everything else works really nicely for an older car. So, I would definitely say that the care is well made and built to last.

2005 Mitsubishi four-door outlander.
It's not very comfortable the engine blew after 99000 miles. Other than that not any other major issues. It does have some rust. But it has been very unreliable. It does not have an oxy plug in. That would be nice so a new radio is now needed. I do think it's a good vehicle overall.

Aging Car Problems Arising in the Outlander
I've had this car for quite a while. It has sleek interior and is overall a good looking car, but it has caused many problems as it has gotten older. There was one specific problem with its computer where the steering wheel stopped turning while on a drive and the car shake tremendously when accelerating. The car feels heavier than other but it moves well.

The outlander is perfect for a starting family. I have a 7 year old and she loves the SUV because of the extra space.

Yes. It is gas efficient, reliable, and haven't had major issues driving it for how old it is (2005).

How Reliable Is The 2005 Mitsubishi Outlander?

I haven't had problems with the outlander just yet I have had it for a little over 2 years now. I would definitely recommend this vehicle to a college student.

It is very reliable other than the air conditioning going out. It is impossible driving a vehicle with no A/C in Texas heat so it was $800 to fix.

I had purchased it from a family member for $2,000 cash which is not bad for how reliable it is and for it being my very first car.
