Wonderful Vehicle For Traveling
My Mitsubishi is an awesome SUV. I love the convenience of being able to tow stuff when needed. Also it is great for when we go on vacation and need extra room for people that came with. It is big enough for everybody to join us and not have to drive multiple cars.

Benefits of owning a small SUV, entities of a big vehicle in a small car.
My car is very reliable in a technology sense. I bought the basic model so it does not include rear back up or heated seats. It has the basic entities. It gets great gas mileage at 24 mpg and has 4 different modes of driving. I always drive in eco mode, unless there is snow on the ground. It has a 3rd row option for seating and when I don't need it I can just fold it down. The only thing I don't like is the paint quality. The paint seems to chip very easily.
accountCircle Sabrina R
Reliable, safe first car.
My Mitsubishi outlander sport has been a great first car. I live where it gets very snowy 7 months out of the year and I have loved how it handles in the snow. Good size for hauling around friends. Doesn't feel cramped or claustrophobic. Gets great gas mileage. The only critique I have is that there is no ability to connect an AUX cord, there is only Bluetooth and it limits the number of devices that can pair to my car.
accountCircle Jami W
Looks smaller but has 3rd row seating and lots of room when you fold the seats flat.
My outlander is a crossover with 3rd row seating and a V6 engine. It is sporty looking and fun to drive. I love the way it handles.

Mitsubishi outlander: sleek, comfortable, and rides smoothly.
The vehicle is absolutely wonderful. There haven't been any problems with the car within the few years of having it and it performs extremely well in good or bad weather. It is very reliable and will always alert you on the menu on the screen if there's an issue with any part of the vehicle. Some of the nicer features of it is the large touch screen and good sound system. One of the biggest comforts of the vehicle is the heated seats which come in handy during colder weather and the air conditioning that can be set to almost any specific temperature.
accountCircle Tammy L
They get great gas mileage and go really good in the snow.
I love my car. It goes really good in the snow and gets great gas mileage.

I love my vehicle's performance.
The Mitsubishi outlander is really a very comfortable drive, I love to drive it, I have been driving it almost daily for 2 and a half years now, and I swear am loving its performance. It has quite a nice acceleration and instant pickup. Also, its mileage is quite good. It gives me a mileage of 10 km/per liter. So I myself, would recommend it. I personally haven't faced any problems till date!

I think It's poorly made. I've had 4 recalls in 2 years.
I like the color, the size is ok. I hate that it doesn't automatically lock. I hate that my led headlights went out after a year of owning it. I think they went cheap on paint, and windshield.
accountCircle Katy B
Things I do not like about the car.
It is a car that gets me from place to place but I am not a fan of the way it feels to drive, how the seats adjust or how much more often I seem to have to get things like my breaks done compared to my old car. I also get less gas mileage and the 3rd row seats are very cramped.
accountCircle Rachel W
HORRIBLE TIRES! These tires pretty much for "looks" and don't perform well. After about 6 months they were almost bare.
Lot's of recalls. This vehicle comes with horrible tires. They can't even handle the rain very well let alone winter conditions.

2016 Mitsubishi outlander gt.
My car has good reliability and has decent performance, but does not feel as if it has much power when you hit the gas. The seats are not that comfortable and do not adjust that well. It has good features including sunroof, back up camera, tinted windows, heated seats, powered liftgate, power folding mirrors, adjustable headlights, push start, Rockford fosgate sound system with 10 in subwoofer and is AWD. The trunk space is absolutely terrible with the 3rd row up. I just had a 4th child so I need the 3rd row now and we cannot even fit a stroller in the trunk.
accountCircle Greg H
Medium SUV Good mileage Great sounds
Nice running just a little small on the inside. Good gas mileage. Weight is a little light during the raining and snowing conditions.
accountCircle Tiffany H
Drives nice and smooth. No back seat vents.
Lots of recalls. Not as big as we expected it to be. We also leased it and don't like having to watch miles. If you get one flat tire you have to replace 2 tires instead of just the one that is flat because of 4 wheel drive.
accountCircle Tina C
Good car but not spacious.
The outlander sport is a good car. It is very reliable, and fuel efficient. The only drawback is that it is not very roomy. Before I had my daughter it appeared spacious, however after actually getting her car seat and everything inside, I was wrong!
accountCircle Sarah A
It is a good family car with all wheel drive, which is important in snowy weather.
I like the heated seats, and that it has the possibility of 3rd row seating, and I like the amount of trunk space. However, if we increase the seating to utilize the 3rd row seating, there is no real trunk space left. Also, I do not like that there are no air vents in the rear of the vehicle, only in the front driver/passenger area.

Wear and tear is debatable.
The exterior paint chips and scratches very easily. The interior seems to wear and scuff easily as well. Mechanically I think the car runs great and drives very well in the winter time. It takes a while to catch up to highway speeds but that is expected as it does not have a huge engine.

Good, small SUV great for small family.
Great gas mileage. Pretty decent pick up for a 4 cylinder. Roomy and optional 3rd row seats if needed. Not a lot of cargo space when using third row seating. Had to replace the compressor and fan for ac within the first two years which is not good in Florida when we need ac year round.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Morgan K.

Pros: Roomy, Great gas mileage, sporty, easy to clean. I have loved driving my Mitsubishi on the highway because it is big enough to be seen by trucks and it is safe, but I am also able to easily park in spaces and have a lot of room on the sides. Cons: Basic Accessories. No heated seats or back up camera, but it has Bluetooth and voice activation.

likeFilled Julie D.

I love the backup camera. I love the keyless entry. I love the way it turns sharp. I love the color silver. I love the fact that it uses synthetic oil. I love the faux leather seats. I love the third seat for my grandchildren.

likeFilled Yvonne W.

Spacious, fuel efficient (ECO), 3RD ROW, pushstart, small SUV, It drives smooth. Had extra compartments. Easy to operate with tabs when you have to fold the seats. Seat warmers. Bluetooth, easy display. Backup camera.

likeFilled Kizie C.

Comfortable heated seats which easily controlled by front seat passengers. Plenty of legroom for 1st and second. Row passengers. DVD and sunroof included. Back up camera that contributions to drive safely backing up..Good gas. Mileage. Eco friendly mode. Sleek body of the vehicles.

likeFilled Melody R.

Pros: The leather seats, heated seats, great colors, reliable, Economical with gas and pricing. Built in speakers. Comes automatically with Tints, style, spacious. Cons: Does not have an auto start to warm up car, trunk is not too comfortable. The unlock for the trunk does not open from in car ( weird way to open).

likeFilled Shelby E.

Spacious yet compact. Inside is great to hold 4 grown adults yet the outside is slim for parking. The seats fold down to make amazing trunk space. Gas mileage is amazing! I can get almost 500 miles from full to empty.

likeFilled Larry R.

Outstanding vehicle 4 cylinder excellent gas mileage and solid car has a 3rd row in the back overall a great vehicle to own. I would highly recommend this vehicle it also has where all the back seats fold down to carry a bike or items to or in the back to load cargo.

likeFilled Jen C.

It is a safe car, it also has tons of storage. Drives very nice. I like the fact I can have a third row to seat more people or I can fold it down and a lot of extra storage. I can fit a total of 8 people in the vehicle.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Morgan K.

The car overall is great but it lacks a lot of new technology. There is no back up camera, lights to tell you when someone is coming into your blind spot, or heat warmers or fancy car seat adjustments.

dislikeFilled Julie D.

I really do not dislike anything about my SUV.. Sometimes the last seat row seems a little small. Sometimes it is hard to see through the steering wheel to see what position my wiper control is in. Sometimes the automatic wipers do not turn on as soon as I would like them to.

dislikeFilled Yvonne W.

Cannot change the display to see your tire pressure. Manual seats, to power seats. I wish it had a DVD. Cannot connect your phone while moving, you have to pull over. I wish it had automatic engine start, for the cold days.

dislikeFilled Kizie C.

The cons of my Mitsubishi Outlander are minimal. The main thing that I am not fond of is the push button start. I hope it does not fail me as I was failed in my previous vehicle. Also I do not like having an automatic switch for my trunk. Lastly the last row is difficult to lower.

dislikeFilled Melody R.

Trunk does not open with key or from inside of car. Takes a while to open. Trunk is not too comfortable to put things in. Does not have auto start to warm seats. Battery goes low quick for door keys. Does not have light in the back of the car.

dislikeFilled Shelby E.

I wish the back seat had a little more space. If the basic model which is what I have had a little more features like other basic modes around. The center console area could use more space. The hands free system would be better if it wasn't so sensitive to sound.

dislikeFilled Larry R.

Just that the 3rd row in the back does not have a lot of legroom and in Arizona in the summer the air conditioning does not reach the back 3 row for the 2 people sitting in the back. Could be helpful to have vents in the very back row.

dislikeFilled Jen C.

Not a very sporty look.. It is just a very practical vehicle. I didn't get the model with all of the bells and whistles and didn't get the model that has the most pick up and go. It moves faster than a four cylinder but it could have a little more speed when taking off.

Is The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander A Good Value?

I bought mine certified pre-owned and after a $1,500 down payment, I got it at a reduced price of $14,999. It was a great price considering it only had 1 previous owner and only 33,000 miles on it.

We paid at the time of purchase, our Mitsubishi Outlander cost us $16,000. However after a discount and so on, we paid out the door $14,000.

Ours cost around 19,000. I think it is a good value for what we get. Safety is very important. It was about the same cost as our Chevy Impala but the Outlander is much better.
