Drive history gives you a rating to turn into your insurance to pay less
I've had the carsense March and I absolutely love it! It's the perfect size for my family. We can fit both dogs, the baby and all the baseball equipment you can think of and with the third row seating we can even take friends! It has all kinds of safety features to help keep the car for being stolen. The fabric heated seats are amazing in the winter.

That it's a good family car for smaller families...
I enjoy it being AWD. Especially in the winter. I enjoy the extra seats that fold down in the back. I enjoy the quiet ride it offers. I wish it had teetering straps in the back

It's a small SUV. It has a huge storage area which is great for traveling!
I have not had any issues with my outlander. It has all the basic features, CD player, radio, auto windows, 4wd, etc. It does have some issues in the snow due to it being lightweight so we put sandbags in the trunk area. It's very easy to get in and out of 4wd. I love the dash screen that shows eco, gas, how many miles left on gas tank, icy roads, etc.

That I feel safe driving in this car.
I love that it has heated seats, tinted windows, and a working radio. I also like that the inside looks fancy, but that the car did not cost as much as most others. Also this car is very reliable.
accountCircle Linda S
For a SUV, it gets good fuel mileage which makes me very happy.
It is 4- wheel drive so sets high enough to get in my driveway. There is plenty of room for hauling. I enjoy the backup camera.

Love my outlander! Great family car!
I love my outlander. I get great gas mileage and have been able to cut my gas budget in half. We periodically take road trips to Grants Pass or mt. Hood. I can fit our luggage, my 2 children, and my German shepherd without feeling squished. It is techy enough to make my husband happy, and to make things simple.

I love my spacious 2017 Mitsubishi outlander.
Very reliable spacious car can fit my family of 5 with a big car seat. I do wish it had vents in the second row. But I love the CarPlay, heated seats, and 3rd row. I also love the eco option and is very good on gas. I haven't had any huge issues or any big mechanical issues.

Fuel efficient, amazing vehicle, highly recommend.
Purchased this car at the end of august 2020 and in the past 3 months of having this car there has been zero problems. The car runs smoothly. It is very fuel efficient and it also does not go through oil fast unlike my old Honda accord that I had. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking into getting another car.

Great first car for someone just getting a license.
The car has a smooth ride to it, it is just not as roomy as I had expected it to be. Also, the standard seats are not the most comfortable.

The hands free feature does not work most of the time for the phone or GPS
Not happy with the Outlander purchased new in 2017 for my wife the hands free for the phone hasn't worked since it was new can't call out with hands free and when talking on the phone people on the other end can't hear you, had it in several times for service they keep telling me there is a new down load for the problems but it doesn't correct it, the GPS all so hasn't worked correctly can't rely on it for directions, now the dash is rattling like an old farm tractor. I do not recommend this car 45k and thinking of getting rid of it, my other vehicle is a Ford 2017 pick-up the hands free and GPS is far superior

Outlander 50/50 great gas mileage, horrible power.
Depreciates much faster than other make/models. It does not have much get up and go. It struggles going up steep hills, especially if the cruise control is on. The only good thing about it is the warranty, but like other companies I am afraid if something goes wrong they will find a way to get out of the warranty and I will have to pay out of pocket. It does get great gas mileage. I have seen it as high as 45 mpg.

Never again will I buy Mitsubishi.
Safety level is not top notch I got rear ended and now my back is messed up bad. Also the car does not have much pick up at all. For synthetic oil the mfg still requires you to get oil change like you have typical oil. Never getting another Mitsubishi.

Brakes don't last
This is my 2nd outlander. We got the 2014 model and loved it so we upgraded to the 2017. There are tons of great features it's sporty and a very enjoyable ride for long or short trips. Nice sound system etc. THE BRAKES LAST 20-40KM only. That's it. Now they lasted only about 60km in the 2014 model but in the 2017 it'sa big issue. We are paying 500-600+roughly every 40km. The back brakes goes quicker than the front brakes and its just getting ridiculous. Apparently when they redesigned the outlander they jammed everything in the wheel super close and to add to that it'san electronic braking system so it brakes hard. Doesn't matter how much you change your drive/braking style you will burn thru brakes. I wish I had understood how much money this SUV would end up costing me due to brakes because I would have never purchased it. Please buy a different vehicle the good features don't outweigh the design flaw that will cost you hundreds per year. I estimate my brakes to cost me 1000-1200$ per year. It is just sickening

Rough rider, feels dangerous to me.
It rides very rough, on the interstate, small bumps will almost jerk the wheel out of your hand. I do not like to drive it because of this. I didn't notice this when I test drove it, I wouldn't had bought it if I had. Its gets good gas mileage, easy to park.

A four cylinder engine and gets good gas mileage on the highway.
It has good gas mileage. There is a bad paint job. It has been dependable so far.

Outlander sport sel. Excellent gas mileage.
It runs great, handles well and excellent gas mileage. Not much cargo space. Only purchased for the price and the warranty. Bought it brand new in 2018. Warranty is 100,000 miles or 10 years. Depreciates faster than other cars. Mine is in excellent condition, no collisions, still smells brand new but it is value is less than half of what I owe.

Excellent gas mileage and extremely comfortable and roomy.
No problems. Awesome and smooth to drive. Comfortable for long car rides and great gas. Lets me see how many miles I can drive before refueling. Also has ecoboost so I get even better mileage. Have gone on 6 hour drives and stayed extremely comfortable. Plenty of legroom for taller people. Also pretty neat feature is my car tells me goodbye when I turn it off.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Felecia S.

This vehicle has great gas mileage, spacious interior, simple upkeep, and the ride is very smooth. I purchased under market price. It has continuously Variable Transmission, all wheel drive, and gets 26 miles to the gallon.

likeFilled Cohen S.

One of the biggest pros to the 2017 Mitsubishi outlander, in my opinion, is the fuel economy. The 2.4L 4 cyl engine provides reliable power when needed, fuel economy, and comfortably with its spacious interior.

likeFilled Michael M.

It has a nice conservative design that is very handsome. The ride quality is excellent. Gets very good mileage. Comfortable for long distances. Lower in price to comparable vehicles. Seats 7. Interior surfaces are good quality. Paint quality is excellent.

likeFilled Bri R.

The pros would be that it is very grounded to the road so you do not feel like you might fall over. There is lots of legroom. The seat warmers help after a long days work. There's lots of room for traveling long distances.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Felecia S.

There are not too many cons to this car. There is a small dent on the front bumper, passenger side, and when the brakes are sensitive. I am the third owner of this car. This car seats 7, but can feel a little tight in the back.

dislikeFilled Cohen S.

The only con would have to be limited cargo space with the 3rd row up. With that being said it is not a full size SUV, and I have owned my outlander for almost two years now and have not used the 3rd row once.

dislikeFilled Michael M.

The front wheel drive has excessive torque steer from a dead stop. The method of folding down the rear seats is just, strange. Makes no sense. The interior trim panels are filled with block off plates for the options you didn't get. The rear window washer just dribbles and not where it needs to.

dislikeFilled Bri R.

The body of the car is kind flimsy. The speakers are not the best quality the seat warmers could go up higher too that would help. The cord that plugs in your phone they the dashboard keeps coming loose but the company does not see it broken so they will not fix it.
