Dependable family car - easy on gas!

2005 Nissan Altima 2.5

I have had this car for about 8 years. I have enjoyed driving it. At this point it is 14 years old so my issues with the car are mainly that it has not really been updated. It is pretty comfortable to ride in. My headlights do seem to need to be replaced more often than I'd like. The car does not have a sunroof, seat warmers or an auxiliary cable port, all of which are things that I'd want in a new car. But I like driving it, the trunk is quite spacious, and it has been a dependable car for my family.

An all-around reliable, low maintenance vehicle.

2005 Nissan Altima 2.5

This is a great car. The trouble I have had has been minimal. The maintenance has been manageable -- simple tracking of fluid levels and occasional tuning. There is approximately two hundred and fifty thousand miles on the vehicle now and requires more check up. I have had issues with the tires but that really is not an issue with the vehicle itself, just the tire manufacturer. Occasionally the transmission gears get stuck when putting in to drive from parked.

Gas saver and affordable.

2005 Nissan Altima 2.5

One thing that is a plus is this car is good on gas but other than that I notice on most Altimas about the same year as mine is the door handles are broke off and my steering or control arms are really unstable the paint is also low quality but it's a good car aside from the stated issues. My 05 Altima has been pretty good to me so far the interior is great tons of room inside spacious for sure and it's not expensive to maintain.

Handsome and reliable. I don't think I would ever buy anything but a Nissan.

2005 Nissan Altima 2.5

I love my Nissan Altima. It is extremely reliable. I drive it cross country, 3,000 miles to and live there for 6 months, using my car on mountain roads, and drive back another 3,000 miles every year. I have never needed repairs or even oil. It is a very comfortable car and the trunk is deceptively larger than it looks from the outside. It is a 4 cylinder that has more power than many 6 cylinder cars.

- Theresa J

Being a 4 cylinder vehicle it's good on gas with regular maintenance.

2005 Nissan Altima 2.5

My car can be a reliable transportation with regular maintenance. The headlights are not bright enough and a film of yellow forms quickly causing visibility to be less. Power outlets are either in the way of the shifter or not easily accessible due to being located in the console. Does not have a purge valve for the antifreeze and it's a hassle. Overall good car with plenty of cabin space and truck space

2005 Manual Transmission Nissan Altima

2005 Nissan Altima 2.5

I am happy with my car, it runs well enough. It is a manual transmission Altima which was given to me by my father when he could no longer drive due to illness. It has some issues downshifting into the 2nd gear which I believe stems from someone trying to teach their kid how to drive the car (my dad bought the car from his friend who was the first owner). Other than that issue, I'm happy with my car.

Really love the heated seats accessory. I'd be pretty bummed without it

2005 Nissan Altima 2.5

I didn't buy my car new, but it's pretty nice. It has heated passenger and driver seats. Air conditioning works well and so does heat. There are many compartments to the car, not including the glove box. There are 4 seats not including the driver which is nice to fit a lot of people in. There's no aux but you can buy a Bluetooth adapter that works well with the car.

The car is beautiful and run great.

2005 Nissan Altima 2.5

I love the car overall. I've only had slight O2 sensor problems with it but that isn't a large issue anyways. The car is amazing and does so well even with higher mileage. It drives and runs super smooth, it is a beautiful car as well. It works very well with car seats if you have children and the interior is not difficult to clean either. Always a plus :)

A Trusty and Reliable Old Friend

2005 Nissan Altima 2.5

The only problem I encountered was with the gear shift getting stuck because it was a very old car and had been used before. The car ran very smooth and could go very fast. I could always rely on it! The air conditioning worked adequately but didn't cool the car off fast enough. The stereo was amazing! I really loved my Nissan Altima.

The perfect first car for young adults

2005 Nissan Altima 2.5

I don't have any problems with my car it's perfect and very reliable. It's great on gas and the engine is running like new and it's pretty fast. It's cheap to fix and the parts rarely break on you. It's great and winter time as while. You could take the car out of town with no problem even with high mileage.

Don't buy a Nissan I don't Personally recommend

2005 Nissan Altima 2.5

Gas gage is broken, shifter was having problems would get stuck and I wouldn't be able to drive, paint is very faded, door handles have broken, runs good, no major problems just small ones. Overall wouldn't really recommend know people with the same problems as mine and they own a Nissan as well.

Reliable, but not a fancy car.

2005 Nissan Altima 2.5

Very good car. It's been very far and has had very little problems. I used to use it for Uber. People always remarked how fast it was. The chairs are comfy. To the car still has a CD player. Only drawback is that it doesn't have Bluetooth or any of the cameras I see on more modern cars.

- Ryan L

Overall I like the car I just wish it was bigger because u have 3 kids .

2005 Nissan Altima 2.5

The radio doesn't have a six or Bluetooth. But overall I'm please with the quality of the vehicle. It drives nice and is great on gas. It's a little small for my family size but overall it's a reliable nice car. Good for the economy as well if you're looking for a day to day work car.

- Angel S

Dependable, reliable, sturdy car.

2005 Nissan Altima 2.5

My car has issues with the fuel pump but nothing terrible. I put a header on my car for better performance. It drives well. The transmission has issues but it does have a lot of miles on it. The a/c doesn't blow that hard, but still works just fine. All and all a very dependable car.

- Cassandra F

The seating is very nice and comfortable.

2005 Nissan Altima 2.5

I have had to replace the air conditioning 2 times since I bought it. It's a nice. Ar wish the gas mileage was better but it's a nice daily commuter car. The paint has started to fade away. But the seats are really comfortable and everything is in range of motion

- Jeanette Z

old car but still runs good. It a spacious family car, good for traveling too

2005 Nissan Altima 2.5

It's an older car but still runs like a champ. Doesn't take much work and if it does its cheap and easy to fix. Has low miles and cold AC. It has been a good and reliable family car for many years. Wouldn't trade it for another car. I will drive it till the wheels fall off.

- Kristen R

It's fast, and the trim is shiny, the color of the car really make it special.

2005 Nissan Altima 2.5

I love how it runs but the gas is so bad I am constantly filling it and its 50 to fill, but other than that the interior is nice the seats are comfy, the steering is smooth. Also the ac broke in my car and I heard it happens to a lot of Nissan Altimas so that's a bummer.

- oscar M

A great older car overall!

2005 Nissan Altima 2.5

I love the heated leather seats, sound system, radio control on the steering wheel and sunroof. The vehicle is older and has needed some repairs including a catalytic converter, but this is to be expected. Gas mileage could be better, but overall I'm satisfied!

- Char T

A reliable and efficient car.

2005 Nissan Altima 2.5

The gas gauge does not work properly. There seems to be a bunch of small issues, but they are due to how old the car is. It is an old car but it functions nicely considering how old it is. It drives smoothly and has a good gas to mileage. Overall a nice car.

Nissan Altima 2005 review and chat

2005 Nissan Altima 2.5

Cool car, runs well, just some body damage to front end from prior accident. Not great on gas mileage, but gets you from point a to point b, good motor sound, not noisy and brakes well and responsive steering. Drive both kids in it, great safety features

Nissan Altima: sensitive gas pedal

2005 Nissan Altima 2.5

The Nissan Altima is a good sized vehicle (not too big or too small). This vehicle tends to pick up speed very quickly so you have to be careful using the gas pedal. The car has great mileage and is fairly reliable and is a good long lasting vehicle..
