It gets me where I need to go. It was a good buy for the price I got it at, and although it has a good amount of problems, most are small and easy to fix. And since it is a common car, parts are very common and normally fairly priced.
Stick shift, four wheel drive, extended crew cab. On top of the four wheel drive high it has four wheel drive low, and it is a six speed v6 engine stock. This is a great vehicle for the price and has been my main vehicle since 2011.
It has held up well over the years. Very little problems. Decent gas mileage. As for my next car that I plan on purchasing, it would need to be something versatile. Something that can has four by four and nice interior. Good gas mileage, and that can fit all of my friends.
It's easy to drive not like having to navigate a big old truck. Easy on gas and it a 4wd. The only thing I don't like about the frontier is that there's a pretty bad blind spot on both sides of the vehicle and it's not a car I would much rather have one of those.
Very dependable. The ride is excellent and is handles very well. It is not too small but is not bulky like a full size. The Nissan brand makes a good truck and honestly the frontier, v6 feels overpowered for its size. I am a huge fan of this model and the dependability of the vehicle itself eases my fears that it is 11 years old.
It is getting older, and it is starting to see some serious wear. It has almost 200,000 miles and is starting to slow down. The material of the seats makes them very hard to clean, and since I bought the vehicle used, there are certain stains on the seats that I cannot get out no matter what cleaning supplies I use.
I gladly have experienced no issues with this vehicle other than human error and love to drive it all of the time. It is a really great car and I would recommend it to anyone in search of a pickup with a stick.
It is getting old. It sometimes had not held up as much as a I would have liked it. The biggest downfall for me is that it is very tight in the back seat. Not much leg room. The turning radius is not very good either.
There's a really bad blind spot when driving the vehicle on both sides of the truck. That's the only thing I don't like. Well that and it's a truck and not a car. If I had to choose again I wouldn't have bought a truck but for a small truck its great.
The driver side window motor has been replaced and it is apparently a common problem with this particular model. Another few common issues with this model is the head gasket blowing. Fortunately I have not had that happen but I am concerned as the vehicle le gets older of it happening. The a/c and heater went out around 110,000 miles and needed to be replaced. Also the driver side door handle is broken, another common issue, and comes off sometimes.
The 2009 Nissan Frontier has an average owner rating of 4.68 out of 5 which ranks it #1 of 8 other Compact Pickup Trucks.
