Best ever - electric forever.
Most comfortable seats ever. Great acceleration and braking, handling in general. No issues. Cheap to operate and charge. The only thing I would change is to install a new battery for increased range. It is painted black, and that is not my favorite. I highly recommend it.

Electric cars are fun and almost maintenance free.
I love my Nissan leaf. It has great acceleration and maneuverability. I would never buy a gas powered vehicle again. The only downside is that since it is a 2011, the range is not great - only about 90 miles or so. But the new electric cars have much greater range. Electric is the way to go.

Coming home up the mountain.
I get range anxiety when I do not know where the nearest charger is. I live on a mountain and it takes more power to get home than it does to go because most of my trips are down the mountain. If I start with full charge my trip down does not add but coming back up really drains the battery. .

Leaf is great with battery life issues.
I love my car, it just does what I want it to do. The problem is that the battery life does not last very long. I can only go about 45 min on the highway before I get to dangerous levels on battery life. I wish that the country had more charging stations.

It's Fun to Drive and Safe
It's fun to drive. The seat are far more comfortable than a Versa. I feel safe in the car. It is easy to drive.

I love my little bugeye Leaf, but you do need to pay attention to the range as it has lower battery range than the immediate competition.
Always be aware of the range so as to not become stranded.

The spaceship a reliable car to drive around the town to help you save on gas.
The first thing I love about my car is that it s electric and the savings on gas every month. It has a lot of pep on the freeway when in drive and seems to move like a spaceship would. I always feel like I am in something hoovering the ground not actually touching the ground. It is very roomy in the inside. We can fit 5 people in the car quite comfortably. The trunk area which has a covering to keep things private and safe is also quite large and holds grocery shopping loads easily and securely. The inside of the car offers many nice features such as CD and Bluetooth. Several different offering on the music playlist and in car plugs for phones and other electronics. It offers 6 different spaces for you to put a cup that are all easy access to. The seats are larger than most and very comfortable, no one feels like they are sitting on someone else's lap. There is a lot of visibility in the car and you really do not feel like there is a blind spot. There is the option to add in buttons for seat warmers which many people would love, unfortunately I run hot so that wouldn't benefit me. When you are in eco mode you build trees in the dashboard to show how good you are doing. It has become quite the game to see how many trees I can build in one trip. It also saves bars on your battery to keep the trees building. The car is very comfortable and really fun to drive.

It's an all-electric car, but it doesn't drive like a golf-cart--it has a lot of power.
I love that my car is fully electric and creates zero emissions. It has enough features to be comfortable. I dislike that the driving range on a single charge is so short (about 50 miles now), and that it takes so long to fully charge.

Smooth, but with very small driving range.
The leaf is an overall good car and is useful for short errands, such as driving to work and back. However, the charging capacity decreases more and more over time. Mine now only goes 45-50 miles range on eco mode, so it does not drive very far. As my primary car, it does not fit my lifestyle very well. The interior is very comfortable and the car drives smoothly.

It is reliable and low maintenance. It is very quiet.
No problems with it. Changed the 12v battery once. Other than that, it requires no maintenance. Range is a bit limited.

Battery lacks a thermal control system, which will limit driving range over time.
I like that maintenance is minimal and that I can legally drive alone in the carpool lane. Dislike the rate of degradation of the battery which has lost half its storage capacity.

Really nice and affordable
The Nissan leaf is a pretty nice and affordable car to use and buy considering that's it's used all electric vehicle. Much better that other electric cars on the market. In Eco mode, when letting go on the gas, the car automatically slows down without using the brakes. The only con about the car is the styling, the front headlights protrude out to much, but at least it's not a Prius.

Good, economical in-town car
Reliable car, but as a first generation Nissan Leaf, the battery technology is dated and the charging level has dropped. Because so many factors (number of passengers, hills, outside temp, and speed) affect the driving distance, it is best as an in town, or one direct metro destination car.

Nissan leaf: decent first car, nice drive, limiting range.
This is a nice car to drive, comfortable, quiet and smooth. Being an older car, the newer leaf has a better range, but the range is very limiting. Having 84 miles, etc does not truly mean you can drive 84 miles, turning on the heat or ac or driving faster will reduce the range significantly in a given charge.

It is all electric but does not have a very far range.
I like that it is electric. It costs way less to run than gas. I wish it had a longer range though since we cannot drive it very far.

Pros and cons of having an electric car.
Nissan leaf is an electric car. I love it because it is no gas to fuel the car. It is compact and easy to move around with. The only drawback is the charge for the electric range. Over the years, the battery loses charge and it is very expensive to replace.

The battery does not last long enough to go anywhere.
It is only for driving in the city and it is not good for going long distances
