Last Year Maxima made in Japan

2003 Nissan Maxima GXE

I had a 94 Maxima and needed a newer one for travelling and got the 2003 in September 2002. What a difference in driving as 94 had 160 HP and this had 255 HP. No problem with passing on the highway, as many times when passing suddenly realized going 90 MPR with no effort. It came with great tires and replaced them 13 years later and still had tread at 133K. Great lights for night driving. Still driving it 17 years later 180K and only things done was two batteries, oxygen sensor, driver window motor, set of tires, wiper blades, alignment, set of brakes pads, fuel cap, many air filters and a throttle body module. Great gas mileage using regular leaded gas. Great on the highway for gas mileage. Mileage is 23 city and 34 highway and I believe it. Whenever I take it in for oil changes, people think it is a lot newer car as it looks so new. I got the silver metallic. Extremely happy with this car and as it was the last year to be made in Japan, probably why-quality built. The 94 had the 3.0 six engine and tops and now this one had the 3.5, another great engine. Have to be careful, blind spots like every other vehicle. Drove the 2018 Max and really liked it and the blind spot warning detection. No rust on vehicle although living in winter climate with salt on roads.

The car is great for daily needs and it's great on gas when going on road trips.

The car itself is a good car. It has a sunroof which is enjoyable in the summertime. The leather seats have seat warmers which helps in the winter but they get hot in the summer. There's no aux port which is not a plus for me personally. It's great on gas while on the highway as long as you keep up with maintenance on the car.

The Nissan Maxima 2003 is a quality car that gets me where I need to go.

The vehicle performs well and is very quality for being an old model. I haven't had any issues with it and it runs very smoothly. The interior is pretty comfortable and you can heat up the seats in the front which is good when the weather is cold. I don't plan on buying another car.
