The 2020 Nissan Rogue lasts around 250,000 miles with some braking sensor and alternator issues reported. At $19,375 to $29,999, it’s a decent value for a small SUV loaded with a lot of the latest safety technology.

It is very sporty, roomy for a smaller SUV, and rides very well.
It is very easy to drive, and is quite comfortable with the fabric seats, it has better viewing spots and reduced blind spots, and I find the controls easy to navigate. It is very sport, it has a wide stance, the interior is very nice on the eyes. I like the way it drives, the steering is very smooth.

The blue Nissan rogue sport.
My rogue is amazing. It is so reliable, has really great gas mileage, is very spacious, and is absolutely adorable! When I sold my focus, I really wanted a crossover type vehicle, and the rogue checked all of my boxes while being affordable on my budget. The features are great as well. The Bluetooth, apple carplay, and the lane correction beeps are annoying but helpful!

Amazing car no issues or problems.
I love my car! This is my second rogue and it has been a wonderful experience. Other than regular maintenance I have never had any issues or problems. I will keep buying cars from Nissan it is my favorite car. For a worry free car buy from Nissan you will not regret it.

I like driving the car because it almost will drive itself.
No problems just what I wanted. It has everything I could ever dream of. If I started naming things I liked about it I would not get finished until tomorrow morning. I didn't cost a lot of money but I know it sure does get good gas mileage. If I had to do it all over again I would do it.

No problems, smooth ride, roomie, a lot of space. Kick tailgate opening is very handy. Nothing can take me out of my rogue, love the utility and trim and features. Cushioned door armrests very comfortable, navigation via google from my phone is wonderful. Very sleek inside and out.

Rogue sport 2020- the best!
This car is awesome! It is smaller than a regular SUV but still makes you feel like you are driving up higher and in control. The safe driving features are so helpful with blind spots and the 360 camera is useful when parking. It is comfortable and fits easily with another car in the garage.

My dream car is my rogue sv.
The perfect vehicle for one or for a family. Loaded with safety features and creature comfort. Love the easy lift gate and back up camera. Fun to drive and great visibility. The ac cools quickly and love the dual controls as well as the auto setting option. Seats are very comfortable as is the steering wheel.

Not reliable. Problems started from one month.
Cerkey noises in cabin. Hesitates to take off from stop light. Shaking on low speed braking. Vibration from passenger seat. Manufacturing or dealer will not respond if you have a problem. All they say is that is the vehicle character.

Do not buy a Rogue
I would not recommend this vechicle. $40,000 plus tax for a Rogue that is very cheaply made. Supposedly leather seats feel like plastic. The road noise sounds like winter tires continually. Air conditioner takes forever to cool. Radio is so distracting. Having to push a button on this very tiny screen is dangerous. In a short test drive these are things you do not see. It is also very slow to accelerate especially going uphill. Drove only 70 Km so far and I was very frustrated. Apparently it has safety features but I have no idea how to work them System is not intuitive and not easily viewed since screen is tiny. Need my reading glasses to change it. I would lose $10,000 in one day to return it Really disappointed in this car.

My 2020 Rogue sv bumpers are not tight on the body of my car there is a 1/4 inch gap between the bumper and the car. I’ve carried it to the service departmvent twice still not fixed. Please look at your bumpers and call Nissan about it.

My review on driving my car.
No problems yet. I just started leasing the car. The problem I have is the brakes are stiff and you have to press hard down on the brake to stop the car. I like the car though drives smooth no bumps when driving the car. Has a good gas pedal goes very easy.

Safety
4 days having this brand new 2020 rouge SV with premium safety package the steering lane assist and the front camera stopped working. Had to take back to the dealership. They had to hook up.to the computer and recalibrate the settings on those 2 systems. 1.5 hours of my time but it's working now

Noise is horrible
The noise in the cabin is horrible took it in and they didn't hear it. Wrong, it has a noise like the windows are cracked. So disappointed.

Ok for a car driver
If you're used to driving a Toyota Sienna like I was for 10 years, this Rogue is hard to compare. I will admit that the space inside is great. However there's no pickup, the screen is distracting and I find that if you're on the shorter side the seat is uncomfortable and it's difficult to see over the hood. I could back park my 2008 Sienna with extreme accuracy, I haven't been straight once with the Rogue! The fuel efficiency is notable but I pay more in insurance so it really doesn't save me any money.

What Do Critics Say About the Nissan Rogue?

  • Consumer Reports says the 2020 Nissan Rogue is a nice small SUV that offers a lot of family-friendly features, with average owner satisfaction scores.
  • Edmunds rates the Rogue at 3.8/5, praising the comfortable seats, but doesn’t like the outdated infotainment system.
  • Kelley Blue Book users give the Rogue a 4.2/5, enjoying the advanced safety technology, but don’t like the relatively weak engine.

What Common Problems Does the 2020 Nissan Rogue Have?

Common problems found on the 2020 Nissan Rogue include the emergency braking system turning on too frequently, alternator failures, along with some paint quality issues. Overall, these problems are similar to some other compact SUVs on the market, leading to average repair costs as the Rogue ages.

The emergency braking system turning on too frequently is the most widespread complaint from 2020 Rouge owners in the first 5,000 miles. Usually the problem is caused by a dirty or damaged sensor. Cleaning off the sensor will fix the issues usually, while in some cases the unit needs to be replaced. A new sensor costs around $400 if it’s out of warranty.

Alternator failures have also shown up on some Rogue models within the first 10,000 miles. When the alternator fails the only thing you can do is replace it. A new alternator costs about $500 installed, depending on local labor rates in your area.

Paint quality issues are another complaint from owners within the first 15,000 miles. The front bumper in particular is prone to chipping. The only way to fix chipped paint is by repainting the affected areas at a cost of roughly $1,000 per panel.

There’s only one recall on the 2020 Nissan Rogue, which is better than some other small SUVs. The recall covers the ignition key, which can collapse and shut off the vehicle while it’s driving. Nissan will install a spacer in the folding key to prevent it from turning off.

How Long Will the 2020 Nissan Rogue Last?

A well-maintained 2020 Nissan Rogue can last around 250,000 miles, which is about 50,000 miles less than the long-lasting Toyota RAV4. Regular annual maintenance costs are similar to other small SUVs, according to data provided by Repair Pal, at $408 per year.

As a used 2020 Nissan Rogue reaches 100,000 miles, and depending on the vehicle history, owners should be prepared to replace the drive belt idler pulley for $200, HVAC air door actuator costing $250, along with the wheel speed sensor which costs $350.

accountCircle Michelle B

It is very reliable, I have never had any issues with it starting, driving or anything else! And the remote start is awesome too.

How Is the Technology?

Entertainment technology is very good in the 2020 Nissan Rogue with a standard 7-inch touchscreen stereo system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Optional upgrades include a more powerful stereo system.

  • Blind spot monitoring
  • Lane departure warning
  • Rearview camera
  • Forward automatic emergency braking
  • Automatic high-beam headlights
  • Rear cross traffic alert
  • Lane keep assist
  • Forward collision warning
  • Pedestrian detection

Optional advanced driver assistance features include:

  • Adaptive cruise control
  • ProPilot assist, which helps steer the vehicle
  • Rear automatic emergency braking
  • Surround-view parking camera system
  • Rear parking sensors

Is the 2020 Nissan Rogue a Good Value?

The blue book fair purchase price ranges from $19,375 to $29,999, making it cheaper than a Honda CR-V. When new, the price range was $2,5490 to $33,190. Depreciation is similar to other SUVs, losing about 7% of its current value per year.

What are the Different Models of the Nissan Rogue?

There are three versions of the Nissan Rogue offered for the 2020 model year, from the base S all the way through to the more luxurious SL. The Rogue comes standard with front-wheel drive while all-wheel drive is optional.

The second generation of the Nissan Rogue came out for the 2014 model year and was replaced by the third generation in 2021.

2015: No major changes.

2016: Siri Eyes Free added to all models, NissanConnect offered on SL model.

2017: Minor exterior styling changes, optional hands-free liftgate, adaptive cruise control, along with dark trim on the Midnight Edition.

2018: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard across the lineup, third row removed.

How Does the Nissan Rogue Compare to the Competition?

The 2020 Nissan Rogue is a good compact SUV offering reliability improvements from earlier years, which makes it a more competitive offering in the popular small SUV segment.

The Chevy Equinox is another small SUV on the market which costs about $3,000 less. Passenger room is slightly better in the Chevy Equinox, while the Nissan Rogue offers more advanced driver assistance features. We recommend the Nissan Rogue, although both are decent choices for the 2020 model year worth test driving.

The Honda CR-V is a competitor available for around $3,000 more. Long-term ownership costs are lower on the Honda CR-V, while the Nissan Rogue has more comfortable seats. We recommend the Honda CR-V, although both are decent choices for the 2020 model year, making it worth testing them both out.

I love the apple car play.
I love this car. I would say it is a good space for my family, I wish there was a little more back seat space for car seats. The trunk space is good. Driver seat is very adjustable along with steering wheel which is good for me since I am shorter. Gets good gas mileage.

Extra space and safety features.
I have only had this new vehicle for a bit more than a week. So far I love it, and am still getting used to features my last car did not have. I love the feature warning me of cars in my blind spot and the rearview camera. I also love the ability to link my Bluetooth to the stereo and the space for hauling stuff.

Nissan rogue 2020 spacious room for 5 people and storage in the back.
I absolutely love the Nissan rogue! I was looking for the best and safest small SUV for my family. The rogue fits all 5 of us and we have plenty of room. The features we love the most are heated seats without having leather seats, spacious storage in the back with the option to make racks to store items of different heights or hide valuable items out of sight.

This little rogue is comfortable and gets great gas mileage. It is ok comfortable in the inside. I wish it was a bit bigger but we have adjusted to it. I do like that it has a great stereo system and has 2 different USB ports to charge your phones. The inside is also easy to keep clean.

Personally I would rate this car 4.5/5. Automatic headlights would be nice.
Great on gas and drives very smoothly. No automatic headlights. The trunk is huge when you lay the seats down. The Bluetooth options are great too. You can have the music you are playing, and your maps open on the screen at the same time. Also has great safety features for blind spot sensing, and a great back up camera. Backup camera also detects 50ft in both directions while backing up and beeps if a car comes within 50ft.

Good and bad about nissan rogue.
The heated seats are great in the winter time. The low air tire light comes on when it is really cold outside. This vehicle gets good gas mileage. The remote start is a great feature. This is a great vehicle for a road trip, but with no more than 4 people.

Rogues are pretty good SUVs.
I really enjoy my rogue. It has a smooth look both inside and out. Has the usual features you would want, back up camera, safety, auto lock. I only dislike 2 things. The windshield wipers are not automatic and the gas tank is on the right hand side. These 2 things cause inconveniences.

I have a gray 2020 Nissan rogue sport - I love it.
I love my vehicle! It is sits comfortably, it is easy to clean, and it is drives beautifully. The only tiny complaints I have is the mileage is not as high as I would expect from a new car and the gas hesitates slightly upon acceleration. These issues are not too noticeable through. The pros definitely outweigh the cons.

2020 Nissan rogue sv highlight.
The 2020 Nissan rogue sv is stylish with the a little luxury. Apple car play is one of the best features so you can talk and text all from your radio. Good mechanics. Terrible entertainment console.
The voice recognition is terrible. The volume, cuts off several times in the middle of the song. Bluetooth disconnects in the middle of my playing music. I have had two different phones so it is not the phone, it is the car. I have also had my family members try. And the same thing happened so nissan's entertainment system is terrible.

Good vehicle for the money.
I really do like my vehicle as I am on my 2nd rogue. The newer one has a better back up camera which I have learned to use quite well and it corners well. It does not have the pick up like a 6 cylinder but it does quite well and it does get great gas mileage so I cannot really complain. I love the color of my new vehicle. I like the screen and being able to connect my phone to my vehicle as then I can use all the apps on my phone if I choose. Plus it is easy to do.

2020 Nissan rogue review - over censored.
Only thing I do not like is when I am backing out of the driveway, the censors think I am backing into something and slams the breaks. I also have to have the car turn completely off before I can unlock the doors. I also wish that I could turn off the program that tells me I am driving “on and unpaved road” everytime I pull onto my street.

I have been very satisfied with my vehicle's smooth riding, safety features and gas mileage. It is also very spacious. The lane recognition feature has been a life saver for me. During times when I lose focus driving, the car alerts me when I begin to veer out of my lane. I also love the storage system in the back of the vehicle. There is plenty of space for a family as long as all the belongings that go with it.

A poor parking-skills self dream!
This car is perfect for running errands as well as just running to grab food. The overview camera helps parking in tight quarters nice and easy. The back up camera and sensors also really help in parking garages or busy lots. Have a ton of groceries? The liftgate can open by just waving your foot under the sensor (the key must be near). The heated seats and steering wheel are key for the cold months for sure. Having apple CarPlay is a dream too!

Aver all, I like it but the most relevant thing is gasoline saving.
The only problem is that it is small inside, back passenger are not sitting comfortably because of the limited space between front and back seats, also, one more thing I do not like about it is that they only come in black inside, I wish they had different interior colors, it only comes in black, everything inside is black.

Very comfortable ride I love the features it has like blind spot sensors backup camera, and the highlight option you can keep it on and it does dim the light down when other cars are coming. The only thing I wish they have is a larger gas tank capacity it only takes about 15 gallon that's mean more frequently stop in at the gas station especially when drives a lot like me.

I love Nissan automobiles I have been driving them for years. I have never had a problem with any of the Nissan cars I have at leased. My favorite was the Nissan pathfinder it was a bigger than what I am driving now and it was top of the line. Better performance
Yes, but with changes. CVT transmission does shift good during cold weather at start up. Even warming up vehicle does no good because fluid in transmission is dormant.Secondly, gas filler lid has frozen up twice this winter(and its not over).Had to use a pocket knife and then small screwdriver to scrape out frozen ice in cracks.Wouldnt hurt to extend drivers seat rails another two inches for long legged drivers.Heated steering wheel kick off setting should be higher. Other than the above overall an average vehicle for the price.

This model of the car does not fail to make me feel safe while driving.
This car runs so smoothly and I love the design as well. The model that I have the rogue is a little small but, it helps out for me to get around. The shifter is shifts so smooth and I feel really safe in this car, I really do recommend this car; I absolutely love this car and model.

5 stars for the Nissan rogue.
Safety features are really nice. Rides smooth and is easy to get around in. Has all the extra features I wanted: heated seats, heated steering wheel and remote start. Can't think of anything that could make the car better except maybe a bigger gas tank. I think it only holds 15 gallons or something like that.

Small and compact. Affordable price.
Comfortable is not because not big enough. Make it higher as SUV. Features have not much to choose so you need to pay a lot higher. It should all come at least everything is automatic. Need more features in this basic car. The rest is ok. All of this model should have only no car keys to use.

Nissan rogue is the car to buy.
I love my car! I have not had any problems. The car is roomy and allows my family enough room. I feel safe plus the car drives great. I would recommend the Nissan rogue to anyone. The apple car play is fantastic. Anyone in the market for a car should take a test drive.

Love my rogue! Best of the best!!
This is the most comfortable vehicle we have ever owned. Heated seats & steering wheel adds to the comfort. Great gas mileage for a SUV. Sliding back seats for passengers comfort as well! A great vehicle all around. Also autopilot and safety features are the latest technology. All controllable from the steering wheel! Love my rogue!

How I feel about my baby lulu.
As I was looking for a vehicle I had specific things in mind. It also helped that my uncle is a gm for a dealership so my shopping experience was amazing because it fit all of my needs. It drives so smoothly and it so comfortable for the family. This vehicle is excellent on gas and has the perfect trunk space. I love all the perks that come with it so if you are looking for a vehicle that is great on gas, smooth on the road and affordable than the rogue is the answer.

The rouge is an all around amazing car, and especially good for new drivers.
The Nissan rogue drives really nice. The rogue has sensors on the side mirrors that light up when a car is on the side of you. It gets good gas mileage. We always use the rouge for traveling because it has room for suitcases and is very comfortable. It has USB plugs on the back of the glove compartment so whoever is in the back seat can charge their phone, etc.

Experience on my own car, usually I got a full tank with 30 dollars.
Since I got this vehicle I haven't got any issues it was brand new I love it I couldn't believe when I got it, I think that engine is pretty small but I miss understand it I love just the way it is because it has enough power to deal with traffic furthermore it pretty good in gas.
