Dependability
Over all great truck very strong motor good gas mileage comfortable when driving the wife calls it a rocket only problem is the air bag lights flashes all the time along with the tire sensor but over all no mechanical issues I would recommend that any one buying one GO FOR IT

Best Truck I’ve Owned
I have a 2006 LE 4x4. Super luxurious for a truck. Just hit 200000 and still runs like a brand new one. All the power you want and more. Will always have a Titan after this one

Great truck wouldn't want anything else.
It runs great love how it drives and wouldn't go with anything else. The gas can get to you but overall not as bad as I thought. Love how big the inside is and have room for my pitbull dog. Love how the radio volume is on the steering wheel. Love the size of the truck.

Big red Nissan titan truck
No major problems other than maintenance and what can be expected at this point in her life. Drives great. Handles very good. Inside is spacious. Plenty of storage. Locked compartment on the bed which is awesome. Bed is plenty big for hauling. Gas mileage is decent for being a big truck.

Awesome Comfortable Truck
No problems. Very comfortable. Fun to drive. Plenty of load carrying. Has power windows. Power locks. Tilt steering. Seat height adjustable. Power mirrors. Awesome stereo system. Great mirrors. Comfort seating. Air bags is front, passenger, and side curtain. Breakaway engine. Bed liner. Hooks for using to tie down your load.

A truck that handles and runs like a sportscar
Bought new in '06. Drives tows great. 4x4 gets 15 mpg. Finally replaced starter in 2019. It's in the strangest place. Front bearings and batteries. Use full synthetic oil and change every 10,000 miles. Just ordinary maintenance and repairs. Love it.

It has been very reliable.
It has been super reliable. The seats are very comfortable, and after 4 years, the truck still runs smoothly.

I bought a Nissan titan used that ended up being a lemon.
I bought my truck used. It was in awesome shape cosmetically. Had a lot of miles but didn't bother me much since I have always heard foreign vehicles ran forever. Right away I noticed it didn't have the power it should have. Then noticed it burned oil very bad. So in other words I feel I bought a lemon. If it were brand new I think I'd love it.

The fuel consumption for such a large vehicle with a V8 engine is very good.
For a V8 engine the gas consumption is very good. The interior Comfort level is very good. It has a very bad blind spot. The original paint job the quality of it is very bad

Nissan titan 2006, older model, will have some issues at this age.
It is 13 years old, the catalytic converter is failing, I am having sensor issues with just about every aspect of the car, including oil pressure gauge and tire pressure gauge, gas is expensive and it is too big for the city life. I do love the fact the truck is 4 wheel drive, comes in handy in the snow and mountains.
accountCircle Shannon R
It drives well and gets great gas mileage.
It's too small for all my kids, I love that it is big and the way it looks. I have put lots of money into repairing it. It has too many miles on it.

Her name is the big red beast
Paint chips and rusts easily with this make and model and year runs ok but battery dies semi often. Leather interior is nice until you are wearing shorts in the middle of summer. Seat warmer for front seats works for winter. My cars a/c doesn't work.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Robert P.

Very reliable, just routine preventive maintenance and have had no problems. Never have had a time where it refused to start, always has gotten me to work, or wherever I wanted to go. I would replace this vehicle with a new one when the time comes.

likeFilled Jose C.

It has a huge cab with tons of space for passengers. The engine provides more than enough power. Also, the engine and transmission have been sold with no problems, currently at 100,000 miles. Poor fuel economy. The size of the bed in the four door model is quite small.

likeFilled Josh R.

My Titan has a comfortable interior and is fully loaded with navigation, satellite radio, DVD, and audio package. Also off-road capability and towing capabilities are more than adequate and it has been extremely reliable and has not left me stranded so far.

likeFilled Martriel J.

Its runs very good. It drinks gas and I think the are very go trucks. They are very compact trucks and if you have the 2 door like I do they are small truck so go for the 4 door. You could never go wrong with a titan.

likeFilled Matthew G.

Drives great, has great handling, lots of horsepower, decent on gas, easy to reach the oil filter for an oil change and I like the hooks in the back of the truck bed. Overall it is a very nice truck.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Robert P.

The gas mileage is not that great inside city. When your out on the highway it is better, but if you hit 75 like on interstate it drinks a lot of fuel. I average 14 miles per gallon. I just wish I could have gotten better mileage while still having the pulling power, now the payload is not that great either, only 1500 lbs.

dislikeFilled Jose C.

The Titan provides tons of power but poor fuel economy. My XE four door Nissan Titan has a small bed due to the four door cab. The silver paint on the roof of the cab has faded pretty bad. The cons for this truck are minor in my opinion.

dislikeFilled Josh R.

The fuel mileage is lower than other vehicles however I bought a full size truck and not a Prius. Also the factory clear coat wears off and is destroyed by the sun easily so my truck has been repainted because of it.

dislikeFilled Martriel J.

It drinks gas it doesn't get the gas mileage that it suppose to get. I think it should have better gas mileage than what it does. The back seat is very small to where there is no leg room for the person to move around my kids to be very squashed back there.

dislikeFilled Matthew G.

Buying parts for my truck are expensive, I do not like that the starter is located in the center of the engine. The interior is falling apart and it is hard to keep cold air flowing through the a/c vents.

Yes, it is a good vehicle. It is durable. We have had an exhaust issue and a power window motor go out, but otherwise it works great. The cloth seats also wear out quick.

I have had it for two year and I haven't any major problems. Only thing I've had to do is the routine stuff like tires, alignment, and oil changes. I would say yes it is reliable.

Is The 2006 Nissan Titan A Good Value?

We bought ours used, but it probably was a good value. I know it is a good brand, but a little expensive, s higher make than I can afford without going down a few years in age. But I know that Nissans... Read More
