There's more room inside than it looks from the outside!
It's a good little car that is easy on the gas. No major issues so far. I've only needed to have the brakes fixed and regular maintenance checks.

Nissan versa not a bad brand. Great on gas!
My 2008 Nissan versa is very good on gas about 20 miles per gallon. Very comfortable for an older car. I would say the least thing I don't like about my car is that it always has undercarriage issues. I would rate my car about a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. Not a bad car! Nissan is a good brand overall.

The Nissan Versa is for Convenience Only
It is compact, but does not get good gas mileage. It does not have any of the standard amenities (i.e. Vanity mirror, armrest, aux port, etc.), so it's very frustrating to drive at times. It is easy to lose the hubcaps. I do feel safe in it.

This car has never broken down despite the many miles it is driven.
The car is reliable but shakes when going above 60 mph. The air conditioning system is very good despite all the years the car has been in use, never a single problem. The inside shields against the sun on top of the car seem are indeed adequate for blocking the glaring sunlight.

A small compact car that does the job.

Best Value for a Commuter
The 2008 Nissan Versa is an excellent starter car for a commuter student (like I was) or someone who has a 20 mile or so commute to work. I enjoy a lot of its features, such as, the radio, the ease of service, and its compact, but elegant look. I would recommend this car to anyone.

Very versatile in being able to do things.

2008 Nissan versa: a few quirks here and there, but overall, definitely a winner.
Tire pressure sensor malfunctioned less than a week after leaving the lot; not the best in the snow; all in all a good buy though. Spacious, lots of legroom, I was able to move in only three trips using it instead of renting a U-Haul; good radio/stereo system; seats five fairly comfortably.

This car is reliable and a perfect first car
I have been driving my current car for 7 years now and it has been extremely reliable. I used it all through college, driving back and forth to my parents house many weekends and I have never had any serious problems. While small and compact, it is spacious on the inside and comfortably has sat 5 people. It gets great gas mileage and has put up with a lot of long drives!

Small and reliable Nissan versa.
Very reliable. It has decent amount of torque for a compact car. Easy maintenance. The only thing I do not like is that is top heavy, aerodynamically the design could be better to withstand high forces against wind. Air condition motor works strong and is long lasting.

My vehicle is sometimes reliable and sometimes isn't.
Have had several. Had to get a new transmission, which fortunately was covered by a recall. Have had problems with wheel bearings and ball joints. Had to have a new door handle and lock. Had to have a new heat pump installed. It gets average gas mileage about 20 to 25 mph. It's 'hit or miss' concerning this vehicle. I've still had to put out my fair sure in repair bills, despite this. My automatic ignition won't work, and keys are required, unlike most vehicles of this type.

The air conditioning unit is not great. It's been a great car as far as getting around but it makes it tough in the summer months without and air conditioning
My air conditioning stopped working shortly after I got the car. In order for it to be replaced the whole part has to be replaced because the hose on it has been recalled due to the same problem I'm having.

Great price. Lots of back seat leg room. Not great front leg room. Very reliable until 110, 000 miles when transmission went out. (perhaps due to my lack of diligent maintenance). Overall I have really enjoyed my little car. It does not have super quick pickup, but it gets great gas mileage!! I would definitely buy another versa next go around.

The car may be small but has a lot of room great head room. I have the manual 6 speed transmission and get amazing gas mileage. The hatchback is the greatest part of the versa, good room and seats fold down for much more room. Back seats have plenty of room for 2 adults.

Large windshield and comfortable seating make this the best car I've owned.
No problems really. I don't currently have an AUX cord connection and would like one but other than that it runs smoothly and I love it. I find it very comfortable. The windshield is very large which I like because I am shorter and I feel like I can see everything I need to and be safe in the car.

Mine is a manual, with 6 speed transmission, which is EASY to drive, and gets great mileage, even when I run the air conditioning nonstop. But when the temperature gets above 90, the AC will not be able to really cool the car down, if you are in full sunshine.
I really enjoy this hatchback -- the back seats can fold down. It is quieter than other hatchbacks that I have owned. It is great for tall people (both in the front & back seats). It has front wheel drive, and gets decent mileage per gallon of gasoline.

I have had this vehicle since 2009. I have never had many problems. Had to replace tires and battery (usual maintenance). Had to replace a part concerning the gear shift which broke and gear shift would not go in park. Cost $600.00 for part and labor to fix. Had airbag recalled. My daily ride with over 130000 miles. Roomy enough for me and my grandchildren.

2008 Nissan versa note review.

Nissan versa 2008 for disabled riders.
I am not the driver, but a disabled passenger, and I find that the Nissan versa from the year 2008 is one of the most comfortable rides I have ever had. Sometimes cars seem to be comfortable, but it takes a ride over time to be able to confirm that, and I can confirm that the Nissan versa 2008 is a comfortable ride for disabled persons that cannot make a lot of adjustments in the way that they are seated.

Best features of the 2008 Nissan Versa.
No problems, love the way it performs. Saves me a lot of gas. Holds about 12 gals of gas and gave me 230 miles on just a half a tank. I just don't like struts, they make the ride a little hard. And the rear has brake drums instead of disc like the front brakes. Other than that I love it. Roll up the windows and it kills the outside noise.

I like the high gas mileage my car gets (30-35 gallons). It's a fun car to drive and Hass all the features I need and more. I don't have any significant complaints about it. Nissan did very well with the 1st generation Versa.

My car gets awesome gas mileage, very dependable car!!
I love my car. The only issues I've had with it is the air conditioner. The blower motor has to be replaced, and it drains back up in my floor boards. An extension has to be added to the drainage system in order for it to drain correctly. Had a recall on the airbags. Buy Nissan fixed the issue no charge.

Sporty Nissan Versa This is an attractive 4 door hatchback that is economical.
This vehicle has been incredibly reliable. I've had just general maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations etc. Last year I had my front brakes replaced, but other than that, nothing major! This car is sporty and a fairly comfortable ride. It also gets decent gas mileage..

Good Basic Car but without the bells and whistles
I generally like my little nissan versa. It is a good size for what I need it for. I can fit 5 people comfortably in the car. I like that the backseats are smooth and flat and feels very comfortable to my guests. The horsepower is a little low so it definitely takes a little bit of push for the car to go up a big hill.

It has a lot of space. The car is fairly large for a sedan yet gets good gas mileage.
The only thing I've had to do with my Versa over the course of driving it 60,000 miles is replace some worn tires. I change the oil regularly and haven't spent anything else on it at all.

Small but impressive leg room both front and back seats. Interior is light and very hard to clean as it attaches to everything. AC is fairly weak and takes over 10 minutes to fully work. Gas mileage remains good to current comparison

Be prepared to get a car fan because the ac does not reach the backseat.
I like that it does not take much to fill up the tank. However I do not like how often I have to fill it. I also do not like that there are no vents in the backseat. The backseat is always hot even when the ac on full blast.

The hatchback versa is unique in its own way. When taken to the dealership for servicing after x number of miles they cannot tell me what servicing is required. I can tell about oil change but what about spark plugs, and tune-ups. It rides good just a little bit on the rough side. All in all it is a good car.

2008 Nissan versa hatchback standard transmission.
This car gets excellent gas mileage. My versa has a standard transmission. It is a 6 speed stick shift so it is fun to drive and has good pickup for an economy car. I only fill up every 2 to 3 weeks. It has been a very reliable vehicle and has low maintenance. The tires are inexpensive. I have a five door so the seats fold down creating a lot of space. Small furniture can fit in this car. I was even able to put a washing machine in the hatchback to avoid paying a delivery fee.

I got this car used, less than a year ago. It needs some repair. Does not seem to have much power going uphill. Driver side power window does not work. Handles are a little hard to pull on all doors. It is comfortable and I feel like I have good control while driving.

Nissan Versa is a good economical option but it is lacking when it comes to comfort.
I love how easy it is on gas. The Nissan Versa is also great for getting in and out of tight spots since it is so small. Since it's an economical option it isn't so great when it comes to comfort. It is not comfortable for tall people and you can hear a lot of noise while driving. Long distance drives are not fun because of the lack of comfort.

Great car if you want to save money, doesn't burn gas at all.
It has a very quiet engine and when the windows are up you can eliminate outside noise. Fuel consumption is great, can do 317 miles on a half tank. I just love the electric power steering.

A smooth running car that can last
The Versa is a really great car! After almost 11 years the car still performs well, and is very reliable. It's the perfect size and surprisingly holds a lot. Has helped me through 3 moves and safely made it through shipping across the ocean 4 times. Hasn't had any major problems, and only requires minimal upkeep like oil changes etc. If you're looking for a dependable and easy to take care of car the versa is perfect.

2008 Nissan versa grey - reliable and safe.
The main problems with my vehicle are that the check engine light has been on for years and the low tire light is consistently on as well. I will say that the vehicle is a bit noisy when the air conditioning is running. Other than this, it has been a very reliable car and I would purchase another Nissan. There is a surprising amount of space in the back seat and the trunk. Overall it is a smooth ride. I feel it is a reliable and safe car. It has basic features but everything that I would find essential with a vehicle, including cruise control and electronic windows and locks.

Basically the car is too small and something is wrong with the transmission or drivetrain. Seats are quite hard too. Might be having problems because it is at 207777 miles. Will say it does well on fuel and is dependable and reliable., another detail is the airbag light stays on.

It is fun to drive but the turning radius could be better.
It is a great car with great legroom in the back and the cvt engine makes going and stopping easy. The legroom in front is great if you are 5'5, but not 6'3. The cup holders are obnoxious and almost pointless for anything larger than a small cup.

Not perfect but super dependable.
I love my car but it does have a few problems. An annoying issue is that it constantly loses hubcaps, I finally gave up, each new one costs me 25 bucks. I also had one very costly fix where the engine flooded. The mechanic said it had something to do with the way the engine was programmed to react to cold weather. But for the most part the car has been a trooper. I feel safe and I feel like it is not going to suddenly stop running. I cannot ask for more from an eleven year old car that has been driven pretty hard.

Miles per gallon is Amazing
I have the model version of the car, but I love it so much. Even though I have crank windows, no power locks, and no cruise control, I have had the best gas mileage compared to any of my previous vehicles. In the city, I average at about 28 mpg and on the highway, I can get at most 33 mpg.

Perfect travel or personal use vehicle.
The Nissan versa is a small compact car that gets great gas mileage. Not the best horsepower but what do you expect from a 1.8 liter engine. It is fun to drive and I have been on many trips with it.
