My vehicle is sometimes reliable and sometimes isn't.

2008 Nissan Versa 1.8 S

Have had several. Had to get a new transmission, which fortunately was covered by a recall. Have had problems with wheel bearings and ball joints. Had to have a new door handle and lock. Had to have a new heat pump installed. It gets average gas mileage about 20 to 25 mph. It's 'hit or miss' concerning this vehicle. I've still had to put out my fair sure in repair bills, despite this. My automatic ignition won't work, and keys are required, unlike most vehicles of this type.

2008 Nissan versa hatchback standard transmission.

2008 Nissan Versa 1.8 S

This car gets excellent gas mileage. My versa has a standard transmission. It is a 6 speed stick shift so it is fun to drive and has good pickup for an economy car. I only fill up every 2 to 3 weeks. It has been a very reliable vehicle and has low maintenance. The tires are inexpensive. I have a five door so the seats fold down creating a lot of space. Small furniture can fit in this car. I was even able to put a washing machine in the hatchback to avoid paying a delivery fee.

A smooth running car that can last

2008 Nissan Versa 1.8 S

The Versa is a really great car! After almost 11 years the car still performs well, and is very reliable. It's the perfect size and surprisingly holds a lot. Has helped me through 3 moves and safely made it through shipping across the ocean 4 times. Hasn't had any major problems, and only requires minimal upkeep like oil changes etc. If you're looking for a dependable and easy to take care of car the versa is perfect.

Best car I have ever owned

2008 Nissan Versa 1.8 S

It is a manual transmission which has saved this car. The CVT transmission in automatic versus are horrible. This car is 11 years old and the only major repairs have been ball joints and coil spring replacement. The coil springs broke which is a known issue but not considered a recall. There is an air bag recall I have yet to have fixed. Best car I have ever owned. Very roomy, great for small families.

My vehicle gets very good gas mileage which is a plus with gas prices rising.

2008 Nissan Versa 1.8 S

I have had this vehicle since 2009. I have never had many problems. Had to replace tires and battery (usual maintenance). Had to replace a part concerning the gear shift which broke and gear shift would not go in park. Cost $600.00 for part and labor to fix. Had airbag recalled. My daily ride with over 130000 miles. Roomy enough for me and my grandchildren.

My car gets awesome gas mileage, very dependable car!!

2008 Nissan Versa 1.8 S

I love my car. The only issues I've had with it is the air conditioner. The blower motor has to be replaced, and it drains back up in my floor boards. An extension has to be added to the drainage system in order for it to drain correctly. Had a recall on the airbags. Buy Nissan fixed the issue no charge.

Best Value for a Commuter

2008 Nissan Versa 1.8 S

The 2008 Nissan Versa is an excellent starter car for a commuter student (like I was) or someone who has a 20 mile or so commute to work. I enjoy a lot of its features, such as, the radio, the ease of service, and its compact, but elegant look. I would recommend this car to anyone.

Bare bones reliable commuter car.

2008 Nissan Versa 1.8 S

No major problems in 10 years. Features are pretty basic though... no keyless entry, can only open drivers door with key first to unlock rest of car. No Bluetooth. Inside is comfortable but feels much smaller now that there are two kids in it with me.
