The xterra roof rack is super accessible and easy to add on to.
Absolute dream car- I can do anything I want with the x terra. Camping, towing, dog transport, its big enough for a twin size blow up mattress in the back with room on the sides. Comfortable ride, easy maintenance, lots of aftermarket options as well.

Basic model with lots of room.
This is the basic model. Lots of legroom up front. Lots of room with the seats folded down in the back for my dog to be comfortable. Only issue is with a strut on the right front tire that always cracks and needs to be replaced. Very good sound system already installed in basic model as well.

Highlights of a Nissan xterra 2010.
If had no issues with my vehicle. I have had my vehicle for about 10 years with no complications. It drives smooth and reliable. I enjoy that as an SUV it's small but has back seat space. It provides a perfect area to camp out at the beach. Its has space for.

Reliable, affordable, great performance, long lasting.
I absolutely love my Nissan xterra. I bought it brand new in 2010 and have been driving it ever since. It is very reliable and has great performance. My Nissan xterra is comfortable even on long road trips. It has running boards for ease getting in and out. It also has luggage racks on the top that make travel much easier. It has a large back area for plenty of storage for groceries, travel, sports equipment, home improvement items, etc. I have not had any problems with my Nissan xterra. I do not plan on replacing this vehicle with any other vehicle.

Dependable, spacious vehicle that cannot compare to other small SUVs.
I have loved this car since I first got it. Comfortable, spacious, plenty of room to store and spread out. My vehicle is used to haul lots of people around and no one ever complains about being too cramped. The ride is smooth, a little stiff on bumps, but it is a firm car. I have a basic model, so there is not much in terms of features, but the best thing I like is the back seat folds down, so you can pile all kinds of stuff in the back. Great for camping trips and home improvement trips.

Xterra is a great reliable vehicle!
I have had absolutely no issues with my Xterra. Very comfortable. Always been a reliable vehicle. Handles great in the snow! Love the extra hidden glove compartment, didn't even know it was there for years! Seats fold down for hauling. Love that it does that.

Very dependable and comfortable to ride in.
It has cruise control, cold ac, good radio, easy to drive and maintain. It is hard to hand wash and the tire sensors go off a lot. It is a v6 so it does get up and go when I need it too.

Nissan has really dropped the ball on the 2010 Exterra. The transmission cooler is in Main radiator
Transmission cooler ruptured filling the transmission with water resulting in a catostropic failure of the transmission. $3200 cost of repaired Nissan is aware of this problem in all thier Exterras and Frontiers 2005-2010 but refuses to pay for repaired or recall vehicles consumer advocates has issued a do not buy warning

The most important thing is the versatility of the vehicle it can haul 4 people or help someone move a couch.
I like the comfort of the cab and how roomy it is for 2 or more people to sit for a long drive of over an hour. I like the rear trunk and backseat backs are all plastic coated so if I was to transport in the back it wouldn't rip the seats. I dislike the cloth seating and overall value of the vehicle is going down over the years.

2010 Nissan XTerra reviews.
It is very reliable and I would recommend it to others. It is boxy so you need to turn slower than other vehicles. Currently the radiator went and I was far from home and got me back home. Parts for the car are not too expensive either. It does have 4 wheel drive but isn't great in the snow so you need to get new tires.

Absolutely love this SUV…2010 and it’s almost got 200K….routine maintenance and haven’t had problem (knock on wood). The only thing I’ve had to replace wasthe crankshaft sensors but other than that…amazing 😊

Spacious SUV with good gas mileage!
100, 000 miles and I have yet to have an issue! The most reliable car I have ever owned. Extremely comfortable seating for long rides, smooth acceleration and breaking. No engine troubles! Spacious seating and strong ac. No expensive mechanic fees because there’s never a reason to take it in except for the classic reasons, I. E., oil / tires / air filter.

Pros from Owners

Looks cool, one of the last real 'rugged' looking SUVs on the market. Drives extremely well. Super safe, like a tank, with no risk of tipping like a Jeep. Four wheel drive is priceless in snow and wet weather. Back seats fold down completely and easily - one handed. Tons of room, with optional third person in the back seat.

The Nissan xterra has great gas mileage, it is easy to drive in the city and in suburban areas. It is also a vehicle that is easy to drive and it is a comfortable drive. The xterra has timeless styling and has aged well.

likeFilled Tyler C.

Vehicle has been reliable, very few mechanical issues since purchase. Off road edition comes with roof lights which help during bad weather. 4 wheel drive helps with snow and rural living. Vehicle can handle any conditions and can be used for everyday use, towing and off roading.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Kelsey S.

Only real con is that they're not making it anymore, which I fear may affect future repair prices and resale value. It is a little hard to park when four wheel drive is activated, but I feel that is normal. Gas tank is huge, which can be expensive, but it gets decent mileage so that is not really a con either.

dislikeFilled Elizabeth O.

It is a little difficult to park in tight spaces. It is difficult to park in tight spaces. It is difficult to park in tight spaces. It is difficult to park in tight spaces. It is difficult to park in tight spaces.

dislikeFilled Tyler C.

Interior is not very comfortable, lots of plastic which scratches easily. Cheap stereo and window rollers that are flimsy and can break quickly if used a lot. Not very fuel efficient. Back doors are tightly spaces making it difficult for bigger or elderly people getting in.
