Great sport SUV, cool and reliable.
It brings a first aid kit, it is very spacious and great for a family of 5, also it has a space in the trunk that you can remove the lid and serves as a cooler if you are at the beach. I love everything about my xterra, never had any mechanical issues, it is a shame that Nissan is not making them anymore because is a great SUV.

Great daily driver adventure vehicle.
Reliable with basic maintenance. Excellent sound system - better than the sound system in my wife's $50k SUV. Engine could be more powerful - pickup is okay but not great. It is very capable off road - locking rear differential, bilstein shocks, off road lights. Great storage options. On road ride is good but not great - the off road tuned suspension requires compromise.

Best vehicle I have ever owned.
The most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. The vehicle is super comfortable and has plenty of room for storage. Great car for long trips. Not so. Great on gas but that is often times expected with SUVs. My vehicle requires special weather tires which are pricey if they need to be replaced.

It's horrible in snow, and they don't come with many options, I.e no leather/warmer seats. I love the look, it's reliable and drives well. Blind spot sucks.
Do not buy this car if it snows a lot where you live. It's horrible in ice and snow, as in it gets stuck on when the Hill isn't steep.

Unstoppable xterra, Nissan's best all-terrain vehicle.
Nissan does not make the xterra any longer. I wish they did, because I would probably purchase another one. I have not had any major problems with my vehicle. I have only had to replace regular maintenance items over the 10 years that I have owned it, brakes, tires, wipers, fan belt, etc.

The most important thing others should know about my car is how smoothly it drives.
I like all the space the vehicle provides. Easy to transport items. Ability to seat 5 comfortably.

I think my car is a safe car.
I like the height of the vehicle. The storage is large. I like that it feels like a truck but drives like a car.

A very good and dependable vehicle that was sold at a good value.
My Xterra has performed very well for the 7 years I have owned it. It is very reliable and has required very little maintenance. It has 90,000 miles on it and it is on its second set of tires. I also have changed the battery. Other than that I have had no mechanical problems.

Great vehicle for the outdoor type and taller/bigger drivers
It's very comfortable. I particularly enjoy how much space you have in the driver seat and for my son in the backseat. It's fantastic for holding my kayak and paddle board. Gas mileage is decent for an SUV. The only downside is that it is difficult for children to climb in through the rear doors.

Sporty and reliable SUV with great looks.
This is a fun and reliable suv to drive. I have had only one repair completed. Maintenance is easy. Great in the snow too. Lots of storage for groceries. Comfortable and easy to see the road.

Nissan xterra - 2011 nice vehicle for highway or off-road adventures.
Fun to drive on the highway and off road. Only major complaint is the gas mileage is not great. Plenty of passenger space for four or five people while still maintaining plenty of storage space. Interior is mostly hard plastic which is easy to clean but may be a turnoff for some.

I really love my Xterra. Great vehicle inside and out.
I have had no issues with my vehicle. Very comfortable riding. Looks stylish and is very dependable. Seats fold down to haul big items. When looking right, I have had to remove the passenger headrest as it does obstruct my view at times. Noise level. Is low. Air and heat work well.

2011 Nissan xterra. Fun, sporty, compact.
I love the look of the xterra but there are some spots that are starting to rust. It is pretty comfortable to ride on however I wish it were wider to accommodate more room in the console. I also wish it had drink holders for rear seat passengers. There is quite a bit of room in the back to hold groceries or luggage but it did not come with any type of liner back there so things just slide around.

Low gas mileage but great reliability.
I have loved my car and I have not had any problems with it. Aside from the basic maintenance, I haven't really had any major repairs, and I am at almost eighty thousand miles. I am not the sole driver of this care and everyone else in my household also agree this a great car. The only thing I do not like about it would be the lower gas mileage.

Reliable off-road performance.
The Nissan xterra is sadly discontinued, and was one of the last body-on-frame SUVs to be sold in the north American market. It is still a popular platform for offroaders, overlanders, and four wheel drive enthusiasts, who appreciate the xterra's rugged build, reliability, and straightforward design.

Comfortable and roomy but noisy
My car is comfortable to ride in, and it's fun to sit high, although aesthetically, I find the car to be too tall. It's a noisy ride - it's hard to hear well enough to have a conversation between passengers in the back seat and the driver, especially at higher speeds (freeway). Trunk is very roomy. Air conditioner only works occasionally, and the mirror broke off the front windshield. Otherwise, no major problems.

Best Car I've Ever Driven
I love my vehicle. It drives great, it's comfortable, and it has never let me down. I wish they continued to make this model. If they did, I would continue to buy this car. I've been driving it for 8 years now, and I don't want to ever give it up. I love it!

Great family vacation car. First aid kit included.
I love driving this car. The seats are adjustable to many positions making it comfortable even for family members with back pain. I love that it came with a first aid kit. The back seat leg room is a bit lacking if front seats are all the way back. They are very high off the ground, so they offer great visibility but can be difficult for handicapped people to get in and out of.

It is a great utility vehicle that also has an interesting style.
I like the storage and off road capability. I do not like the rough handling. It does not have great gas mileage.

X-terra- best car for the mom on the go!
I absolutely love my xterra. The only issues I have had with it are a few sensors needing to be replaced. But going on over 200k miles it is still running great! It's comfortable for long drives, is spacious which is great for kids. The hatchback is convenient and I can load up all the groceries and items from shopping and daily errands. I run a cleaning business so on days I have to clean with my teams, I have enough room to transport employees and all of our equipment without feeling like my car is overfilled.

Nissan xterra. The knock off version of the jeep.
I enjoy the gas mileage on the car when it is on the freeway. Otherwise it can be hit or miss. The gas mileage goes down faster when the ac is running. Sometimes the engine is louder than usual and I have had it looked at multiple times and nothing seems to be wrong with it. For being a vehicle that is supposed to be good outdoors it gets stuck in the snow and the dirt, mud. Etc. I wish it had 4 wheel drive maybe it would make it a lot better. The back seats are harder to get into as well because of the wheel wells.

Xterra 2011: stylish and reliable- the perfect vehicle for the college student.
The Xterra 2011 is an incredibly reliable vehicle- good on all terrains, in the rain, and through the snow (it has 4-wheel drive). In seven years, I have not experienced any difficulty with vehicle other than replacing a car battery. My only complaints would be that the radio/stereo system is weak and that the vehicle is slightly top-heavy.

It is very reliable and handles very well.
I like the feeling of protection. I like the interior. I like the comfort. I do not like the difficulty I sometimes face while trying to maneuver into a parking spot.

Great service! Very reliable!
Great vehicle. I have had no issues. Bought it new, and it has given great service. The four wheel drive is definite plus. I highly recommend. I have only had to replace the tires which is very reasonable with 115,000 miles on the vehicle. I will buy a Nissan for my next purchase!

Rugged terrain vehicle for all weather.
Very stable vehicle, however, some repairs can be costly. Nice basic features, not too many upgrades, however, leather and seat warmers were added. Good tough, rugged vehicle. High steps to get in and can be tight spaced at times but plenty of room for groceries or dogs in back.

10/10 would recommend & would buy again.
Super reliable. Was a one owner vehicle when I got it in 2017, I have beat it up since then and it still runs like a champ. Roomy back seat, lots of trunk space, very comfortable vehicle. The only problems I have had with it were of my own doing and we're fixed very easily.

Love my XTerra, would buy again and again.
A super reliable vehicle in a bigger vehicle, without feeling big. Great cargo space & fold flat rear seats are a huge plus!

All in all not the best family car!
My car is a very boxy car which is not bad but I feel suffocated on the inside it does not give you much room to load stuff in and out of the car also, our car does not have ac vents for the backseat, and for the kids in the summer, it's not ideal at all and my poor kids always start sweating horribly in the summer when we go anywhere in the car.

Amazing SUV with updated radio.
My car has a great performance, it has never really given me any problem except for having to change the battery. It is super comfortable to me and it fits my little family. It has been really reliable for long trips and for caring for my family. My car was just standard features until we updated the radio which has made your car so much better.

My silver Xterra is an excellent example!
I have owned my Xterra for seven years and have no issues with anything. Comfort level is fantastic for short and longer travels, visibility it is great since I am 5'2"and can see workout any problems over the hood and out the spacious back window, gas mileage is adequate for a larger SUV, handling on the roads, whether they be interstate or exploring in the wilderness is excellent, and the paint job had worked the passage of time as well as stopped and got AZ weather!

It is reliable and long lasting. It is an easy car for first time drivers but also nice enough for an adult.
I like how reliable it is. I also think the gas mileage is fairly decent for a car if it's size. I do not like, however, that the back doors are not full size.

Is very reliable, and cost effective to drive
Practical roomy and fun to drive, controls are convenient and easy to access, 4x4 makes for fun in snow, gas mileage is outstanding

Comfortable, reliable truck bodied car.
My car is extremely reliable, I have never had any issues with it breaking down or needing service other than an oil change and tire rotation. It performs super well and does not shake at high speeds. It is a gas guzzler though, and it does not take long before I need to fill it up again. I find it to be a really comfortable car and I love the space inside of it. I bought this car in 2016 and have had it ever since, and know that it is reliable enough to last me probably another 10 years at least. It takes terrain pretty well, even though I do not have the 4wd version. The interior is pretty quiet when traveling.

A very great vehicle and I hope to keep it till it dies on me.
It is very reliable. I never had a breakdown since I bought it in 2011. I just maintained it with the scheduled oil changes and I have replaced the tires twice already. The only complaint I have about it is the noise coming from the loose heat shield under the car but it is a very easy fix. The performance is always top notch. It is very comfortable to drive even though it is on the heavy side. I am only 5 feet tall but I can maneuver this SUV very easily and comfortably. It has a Bluetooth connection which I can use for the navigation from my iPhone.

Nissan xterra: reliable, affordable and one of the best vehicles available.
I love my Nissan xterra, fuel efficient yet tough for off-road situations or when going hiking in the mountains, as long as you keep maintenance up to date it can become the best vehicle money can buy when it comes to reliability, sturdiness and it will last you forever. The interior design is also a plus and always makes for a very comfortable drive. The safety features are also great and make sure that you are always safe and protected from the dangers of the open road.
accountCircle Terry P on January 7, 2019
Gas mileage is not very good.
My only complaint is that the gas mileage could be far better, on average about 15 miles per gallon. Other than that love it.

2011 x terra
I bought a xterra thinking it would live up to its name in the hills and pot holes of Pittsburgh. Wrong ! The suspension didn’t last long at all. And my rear leaf springs, hah ! They are all busted up. That’s from normal driving around Pittsburgh. Off road vehicle, yeah , sure . Lol

Gas water but basically a great car.
The only problem I have with this car it is a gas heater. Other than that it is very good car, lots of power very smooth ride. It take me every where I can possibly want to go. I have own this car for ten years and never had a breakdown yet, only oil changes every three thousand miles and putting air in the tires.
