Handles and rides very nice for a truck, almost as if driving a car.
It is nice to have a truck to haul things when I have to. It is a Crew cab so there is a lot of room for my family. Drives and handles very nice. Decent gas mileage for a truck. No real complaints at this time.

Even as a 2013 truck it still is not outdated.
The are no performance problems with my vehicle. Rams have been extremely reliable for years as long as you do the basic maintenance on the vehicle. It is definitely up to date with its features and always right in the middle of the competition with all other competitors. Doing it all over again I would still choose my ram 1500 as my primary and reliable source of transportation.

The truck that does and fits it all.
Pretty economic when it comes to gas. It has Bluetooth available and is easy to control. There is a lot of space to put all your essentials and more. Easy to change the oil, no big problems related to the motor. Headlights can be replaced easily and at a cheap price as well.

The ram is a great vehicle.
The comfort of the vehicle is exceptional, first of all, the seats are all very comfortable. Being in the car feels like being in my living room. The best feature is definitely the trunk which is great for road trips, etc. The car is most reliable for the 7 years I have had it. The car still runs properly, that is all that matters.

Great truck with great gas mileage for the size.
Love the gas mileage, great on gas and also plenty of room. Large space for traveling and spacious seating. Large truck bed and great suspension.

STAY AWAY FROM AIR SUPSENSION 2013 OR ANY OTHER YEAR....
I bought a slick 2013 all the extras black edition ram 1500 in august 2020. Things were fiine until things got cold. The truck had 106 000 km on it... It now has 108 000 kms on it because i haven't been able to drive it for the entire winter... The dealership has been making the same repairs for 3 months... It's unsafe to drive because you never know when you gonna have suspension or not... Two dealerships now in my area are slowing to step up due to them both working on the truck and can't get a solid success story. I would be cautious about anyone every entering this truck and model at this odometer level. So bummed cause it s a hot looking truck but i am so tired of dealership sales and parts staff tellling me that these trucks don't work in the winter in bc... Lol.. Thats something the sales guy never told me.

Huge problems with the air ride suspension system
I bought a brand new 2013 dodge Ram sport with the air ride suspension system I bought the truck in May from Red water Dodge in Alberta as soon as the weather turned cold in October the truck sat down on its tires so I took it back to dodge they said they replaced a leaking valve and gave it back to me it worked for about a month because the weather warmed up but as soon as it got below minus 15 it did the same thing Itook it back they said they couldn't find anything wrong had it in half a dozen times while it was on warranty and Dodge just kept either jerry fixing it or just warming it up and give it back to me finally in 2016 after 3 years of begging Dodge to fix it because it's undrivable in the winter I put it in to dodge again and spent 6700 dollars and told them to fix everything on the truck the very next day I got back I went to go to work and the truck was sitting down on its tires again I took it back to them and they told me I needed a new pump but by then I didn't have any money left now in 2019 found out my Dad is dying of cancer and I had to move back to Ontario and my truck is undrivable so I begged Dodge and corporate Dodge to help me and they wouldn't even return my calls so I drove 4200 km back to my Dads with the truck riding on its tires the suspension system was faulty from day one and Dodge never honoured anything and turned their back on me it's been the worst experience of my life I paid 65000 dollars for this truck and for 6 years now I can't use it in the winter I'm Hamilton Ontario at my dad's place and I need to go to work to help him and my mom and I can't drive the truck because it's sitting down all the time now so I still make my monthly payments like I have done for the past 6 years sad how a big corporation like Dodge can take advantage of a blue collar working guy and rip him off because that's exactly what they did they are cruel and heartless and I will never forgive them and I would never recommend anyone to buy anything from Dodge .

Reliability
Rate it less than 1 star! We have a 2013 and bought it used in 2018 and have had many issues but the biggest is that for whatever reason it randomly will not start? We have taken it in 3 times and even a dealer maintenance crew have no clue what the problem is! It is now useless if we cannot rely on it starting up at any given time - what a piece of junk and peaved the dealer services are just as usless!!!!
accountCircle Mark S
Very expensive maintenance
No, ongoing power steering failures that dodge refuses to issue a recall for. Only dealer Carry's the unit. Part only is $2800. Repeated and ongoing issues with exhaust manifold bolts breaking which continues long after warranty expires.$500 repair bill per. Problems with warping to the aluminum heads. Also very expensive. Dodge also knows this results in the bolts failing but just keeps using those aluminum heads. Screw the buyer.

I am not a huge fan of the ram and look often to trade it/get rid of it. There are lots of electrical problems, paint problems, and overall issues in general. I will say it is comfortable as a driver but I am just overall not a fan and wouldn't purchase another ram because of my poor quality with this one.

What Problems Does the 2013 Ram 1500 Have?

The 2013 Ram 1500 series has more complaints from owners than other half-ton trucks, but some issues are not as serious. There are fewer problems with the 2013 model compared to the newer 2014 version. The 2013 Ram 1500 problems include vehicle rollaway, airbag recalls, parking brake failure, and radio software vulnerabilities.

Issues with the Uconnect infotainment system are the most common complaints owners have. There are software updates which improve reliability, but in some cases a replacement is required. Replacing the entire screen assembly costs about $1,000.

Electrical problems are another issue. There are several known problems including clock springs, computer issues, and wires shorting from poor insulation. If problems arise you may need to have a professional diagnose the issues.

Engine problems, leading to a check engine light, are also mentioned. Some problems are addressed by updating the computer, and in others replacing the cams and lifters is required. Replacing the components can cost over $3,000 depending on local labor rates.

There are 12 recalls, which is average for a full-size truck from 2013. The recalls include a parking brake cable, restricted coolant flow, turn signal malfunction, electronic stability control, transmission output shaft fractures, airbags, radio software, transmission shift cable, and the tailgate may open unexpectedly. How Does the 2013 Ram 1500 Compare to Other Trucks?

Ranking 8th out of 15 full-size trucks, based on owner reviews, the 2013 Ram 1500 series falls in the middle of the class.

The highest-rated half-ton truck is the more expensive Toyota Tundra. Where the Tundra stands out is with better reliability ratings, and a standard V8 engine with more power. Interior materials, technology, and towing capacity are all better in the Ram. Overall, both are good trucks, if you want a long-lasting daily driver the Tundra wins, but if you need to tow and haul a lot of weight, the Ram is a better choice.

A close competitor is the Ford F-150, which is also a more expensive truck. Where the Ford stands out is with a higher maximum towing capacity, and a longer-lasting engine. The cabin is much nicer in the Ram, with higher quality materials, and the suspension is smoother. Both are good half-ton trucks, and usually, the decision comes down to personal preference.

Why and how my truck is great.
It is a very nice vehicle I have had no problems out of it other than the 4 cylinder mode. It is by far the best vehicle I have owned yet. It rides very smooth and has so much room and so much storage space. The look of it is so sleek and aggressive. I highly recommend.

It is a great durable stylish truck and does good on gas.
It has durability. Great for loading, moving, and towing. The hemi engine has a lot of power. It is a v8 but does not do too bad on gasoline. Smooth drive on the highways. It has power windows and locks and electric towing. There’s an extra storage compartment under the front seat. It gives you the gas mileage on the dashboard. It has a digital speedometer as well.

Converted ram fan for life.
Exhaust headers bolts sheared, required repair out of pocket due to being after warranty period. Other than that it has been a very reliable truck that hauled a 7,000 lb travel trailer cross country with no issues at all. I rode in the previous generation of ram and the gen 4 is so much better and quality keeps getting better.

Drivetrain. Steering. Compacted. Power.
I drive a 2013 ram sport crew cab. It is very comfortable leather/cloth seats. In the winter time I have heaters in the seats and a steering wheel warmer as well. The drive is nice, I run 35' tires and 20' rims. The 4x4 is very nice in the pickup, no problems driving with it or not. It's very spaceship for my family. The back seats flip up for more storage for any kind of shopping or moving stuff to a new location. Overall I rate my pickup 10 out of 10.

Ram 1500. Comfort reliability and power.
The ram 1500 crew cab is a comfortable ride with a lot of space in the cab. It does everything I need it to do from hauling to pulling I have never been concerned about if it was going to run. The tradesman does not have a lot of features other than the basic windows, locks. It does have a backup camera and I love the floor storage in the back seat area. All in all I do not hate the truck but I do wish it were cheaper to fix/ maintain.
I have had this vehicle for a few months now, haven’t had too many issue but when I did it was costly. Ram 1500 has a hemi and is expensive to maintain and fix. Power steering went and it wasn’t just fluid you could replace it is the whole drive shaft, seems senseless to me.

Reliable and smooth riding truck.
I think the truck is very nice and reliable, I just wish that the big horn would come leveled with the rear end so it is equal in height from front to back, the interior is very nice it took me awhile to get used to the knob as a shifter and not having the shift on or near the steering wheel, the truck also has a surprising amount of room and well in the front not so much in the back is you have people riding with you, other than that I think the truck is very nice.

Between the ram boxes, and air ride suspension what more could you want.
It is by far my favorite vehicle. It comes equipped with air ride suspension, rides smoother than anything I have ever owned. The 5.7 hemi is just a joy to listen to. Quite when at an idle, but purrs when you put your foot into it. Comes with about every feature you could want. Some examples are heated/cooled seats, sun/moonroof, heated steering wheel, 4+ different modes on the air ride suspension.

2013 four-door dodge ram truck.
It is great in the reliability category, and drives very smooth! The inside is comfortable and spacious. We use this truck to tow our two horse bumper pull and it has never had any issues hauling and it has been hauling for years with no maintenance issues. Gas gets a little pricey, but compared to some newer model trucks it seems to last a little longer as it has a very large tank. The only issue I have ever had with it was the heat not working for a short time, but it was easily fixed in the shop and I have had no other issues with it. It is a great truck!

It has air ride suspension.
The air ride suspension sometimes freezes up in the winter time. It gets decent fuel mileage, usually 25 mpg on the highway, 20 mpg in town. I have owned it since 2013 and haven't had any major issues with it. There have been a few recalls on it, and I have had to replace a fuel pump on it, but no real other issues.

It is terrible in snow and it gets stuck easy.
I like the size of the cab. I do not like that it's not a 4 wheel drive. The way it drives and being able to pull the camper is nice. I do not like the gas mileage.

Dodge ram tradesman - is this the right truck for you?
The driver and front passenger seats are extremely comfortable and spacious. The back seat is a bench seat and is comfortable but it does not provide as much room as a 1500 fill can would provide. Gas mileage averages about 14 miles per gallon. The 4.7 liter v8 offers good power but lacks acceleration burst. Overall this is a great work truck but lacks some bells and whistles that could be had with different model ram's.

That it fits 6 people easily with plenty of room.
I love to jail things in on trips or work around house. It sits up high so easy to see. It gets dissent has mileage. I love driving my truck it fits 6 people easily.

Awesome truck, will definitely buy another ram truck.
Drives nice, very comfortable, good on gas, jumps a little to the side on big bumps, would buy another ram in the future, good engine, reclining seats, power windows, rear window is nice to have. Great pick up when accelerating. Nice brakes, two glove compartments, big ashtray for storage.

It has a great 5.7 engine and the ride is still incredible.
I bought the truck brand new and until now, it works perfect. I guess it depends on how the owner takes care of his things and I have done a great job. I will buy ram again because to me it's a great vehicle and can't go wrong. The only thing that I had to change was a seatbelt sensor but other than that, it has worked perfectly.

Reliable, curable, looks good and smooth driving. Lots of get up and go.
Love this vehicle. Have never had any major issues with this or previous vehicle which was also a ram 1500. Just couple of minor recalls. Very comfortable, lots of horsepower.

It is built to be tough and durable; tows well and has a great design/body look.
I like the power that my vehicle has; it accelerates quickly and has enough power that I can tow a boat, trailer, or any other item that I need to. I like the outside design and interior space as well.

2013 ram 1500 highlights.
My 2013 ram 1500 is great. The only problems that I have had were related to recalls. The ride is a little rough, but for a truck it rides great. It has a backup camera. This helps with hooking a trailer to the truck and for parallel parking. All in all a great truck.

The large seating in the back seats our 3 kids comfortably
We love our Ram it's always been reliable. I love the large TV screen in the console, I think the seating is very roomy and very comfortable. The truck works as a work car or a family car in our case and is very easy to operate and utilize all features

Dodge ram 1500 single cab trucks.
Ram 1500 slt is a great all around truck. The hemi has more than enough power to pull a trailer or a mid size RV. Great on fuel on the highway, the interior is just right for me and my wife to travel in and very comfortable. Have not really had any problems with it,I have replaced the water pump, but it lasted almost to 100,000 miles, so I can't complain.

I give my Ram truck 5 gold stars.
My Dodge truck is a really nice truck. It has a lot of power as well. It does have a small lift on it which I love. I wish the wheels were better. I could use a bit more room in the back seat. But other than that I have no complaints. This is my first Dodge and I am liking it so far. We usually are Chevrolet people but I love this truck.

Do a lot of background searching on the vehicle.
I love the fuel economy and the get up and go. The looks of the truck is what made us want to buy. I hate that everything on the truck is breaking.
accountCircle Jewel M on January 24, 2021
My truck is just a basic cloth interior with no DVD player and power windows.
This truck has been very reliable ever since I owned it. Common repairs such as wiper blade replacement, new battery, tires has all I ever did, besides changing the oil change. I am going on two hundred thousand miles on it still runs like the day I purchased it.
accountCircle Tommy E on January 21, 2021
The truck is not stock. I have a lot of upgrades to make it a more efficient.
This ram 1500 is a great vehicle. Never had problems owning it. The truck has about 100,000 miles, but have never had problems. The luxury of the vehicle is just as good as most modern cars because of the trim level. The dodge ram 1500 is a truck to have for its price and reliability.

Great power at the best price.
Super comfortable, plenty of room and I am 6 foot 300 lbs. Pulls good. Great power. Love the Bluetooth and speakers. It's black with black leather. It has a bedliner. I put 35' tires with aftermarket black rims. Upgraded the exhaust system. Pulled a bumper pull trailer with ease.
