Amazing dodge ram pickup truck.
This truck has been an awesome truck for me and my family it tows our families toy hauler anywhere we want with no problems and has never let us down or left us stranded. Dodge ram is definitely the way to go if you are in the market for a family truck.

It is extremely strong and sturdy. It handles very well and smooth.
I absolutely love the truck. It has never let me down. Has plenty of get up and go when needed and is well built.

The seats recline in the back adding extra room in the cab for comfort.
Smooth ride, comfortable seating, great get up and go. Love the heated seats and steering wheel in the cold or when I am having issues with my back. The back up camera helps me see things in the back of the road while I am driving down the road.

My truck is my work partner.
I have never had any problems at all and the performance has always been great. The reliability and dependability are the biggest reason I love it but the design itself is a top factor as well. If I could change any one thing I guess I would shoot for better fuel mileage.

Absolutely the best truck on the road.
My 2017 3500 dually is beautiful inside and out. The GPS screen is so large and easy to see. It seats 6. I am a full time RVer and have a daniff (half great Dane, half mastiff) and her and her kitty sister travel in the backseat of our extended cab truck, and they have plenty of room to move around and get comfortable. We have had zero performance problems. The only complaint I have is that all 4 of our wheel covers broke as soon as they were removed to change the tires. Poor design system.

2017 RAM 3500 mega cab pickup.
The 6. 7 Cummins has satisfied all my travel and towing needs, it is fuel economy is acceptable and I have always appreciated the longevity of the Cummins engine. Interior comfort is second to none and due to the mega cab our family comfortable travels long distances in the back seat. I have yet to experience any real performance issues beside the tire pressure monitoring system seems to always have a sensor going bad.

Junk upper ball joints and major tire wear a tire low milage
I have a 2017 ram 3500 dually diesel in service 1 year and 8 months now with 55,000 kms,you can read all the wonderful reviews when their trucks are near new, I loved this truck but it has a junk front end mainly ball joints gone at 25,000 and wearing outside of tires ,3 rd right front tire now at 55,000 and all stock and not gravel driven, I am not an unusual case I found out that they all have front end junk problems, tires and ball joints will be a constant problem and cost you thousands over the years , also warranty dosnt cover tire wear or alignment , at this rate I will be on my 5 th right front tire and 3 rd set of ball joints by 80,000 kms if Dodge dosnt fix the problem.......oh by the way my old 98 Cummins with nearly 200,000 kms still has original ball joints and tires last and wear evenly , and it starts in cold weather not plugged in and has been trouble free for 22 yrs running FANTASTIC

So after waiting the 4+ months for it to be built and arrive, I was pretty happy with the truck until I took it on the first trip with about 1000 miles on it in Jan of 18 on a 7* windy snowy day and the def froze up and put me in limp mode about 120 miles from home and about 120 miles to the closest ram dealer, it went into limp mode about 5 miles short of that dealer and after an exhausting 6 hour delay there they replaced the def pump and fluid and I was back on my way- no other issues sans poor fuel mileage (sub 10mpg average on the 4500 mile trip), but not even 2 weeks after being back home, same issue- warning light of see dealer now limp mode in 150 miles and sure enough it had to go in and get yet another new pump as the def was once again frozen into a solid block of ice and apparently took out the pump, then not even a month later yet again for a 3rd time in less than 5700 miles of ownership. No thanks- emmissions bs has ruined the diesel engine. Since then I have had to remove the grid heater and clean it out twice and replace the infamous bolt that is prone to breaking and destroying the engine once and the mileage has always been low, like super bad for a diesel. Coming from a 7.3L diesel that was an almost identally equipped truck that did the same work and I routinely got over 20mpg and lifetime average on that was 18.6 including all towing miles vs this ram now at only 16k miles and at best I can squeeze out 17.5-18 mpg empty driving no more than the speed limit and towing it is still 10ish with a lifetime average currently of only 15. I wish I had bought a gasser!!! Sadly no gasser come with a manual transmission

Tows great and stops even better.
Drives well for a one ton pickup. The engine brake is handy for slowing heavy loads. Tow/haul mode in transmission greatly increases towing. Very little problems just a coolant sensor so far at 127000 miles. Upgraded to leather. Bluetooth works great.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Kayelynn R.

Reliable, spacious, backroads it is a very nice vehicle. We have 4 cars in the household and this truck is by far the one we use the most. It is very reliable to use for traveling and trips. I love the car.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Kayelynn R.

The cons would be, since it is a bigger truck, it could be harder for some people to steer. Other cons could be the seating, it holds 5 people so if you have a bigger group it might not fit you. Other than that it is great.

Is The 2017 Ram 3500 A Good Car?

It’s a wonderful truck. I would say that this truck can do a lot with its power of the Cummins diesel. I have a 30’ pull behind camper. We originally had a 1500 Big Horn. It was a good truck but... Read More

How Reliable Is The 2017 Ram 3500?

No problems at all. It has all the things we need from the power to the room inside. We can fit three people comfortably in the back and two up front.

Is The 2017 Ram 3500 A Good Value?

Our RAM can pull anything. The cost was a little bit on the high side but I know with that Cummins Diesel engine it will last a long time.
