Cute compact car with roomy back seat for a 2dr hatchback

2012 Scion tC Base

This was the car I wanted for a long time. Finally purchased it in 2012 it was still fairly new but bought 'used' as it had 2500 miles on it. It's a great car. I don't have any children so the two door issue is not that big of a deal to me. However the older I've gotten (31 yrs old) I do realize it isn't the best for people to climb in and out of the backseat. But with that being said the backseat is pretty big. Especially to be a two door hatchback type car. The bag seat is far bigger than any two door I have been in. That part is all about preference. It hasn't made me want to trade vehicles through. As far as problems with the car I haven't had any real problems since I bought it late in 2012. If you keep the maintenance up on it the car will do it's part. Now there is one thing I will mention and it seems to have been an issue on a lot of the models. The rubber flap that goes alongside the front window, at the top, sometimes when you would catch a certain speed it would lift up and sound like someone was beating your car to death. However, quick fix. So again no major issues. Overall I love the car. I wouldn't go back and buy a 4 door or a different type car. It's a good little compact car.

The vehicle is average space, many blind spots, and carpet cleaning.

2012 Scion tC Base

The vehicle is not very comfortable at all. For example the doors actually very heavy. When I first bought the vehicle I did not really feel it. Later they started to feel very heavy. There is also more blind spots than what I expected there to be. The Spacing in the vehicle is an okay average. The Carpet in the vehicle you will have to clean very often and seats are very easy to get damaged if you spill anything you get stains very easily even if you drop water on them. I would get thicker tires than the ones they come with. You also have to keep up with everything in your vehicle running good and do not fall behind on any oil changes. Other than that I think I like the vehicle just would probably get more of a gas saver and not much of a sports.

Great car and very reliable.

2012 Scion tC Base

My vehicle is a great car. It has held together very well and I have had no issues within the 2 years of me owning it. Although it is small on the outside, if I lay the back seats down I can haul lots of things. My vehicle is a 6 speed stick shift and drives very smooth. The only cons I would give this vehicle, is that it is not very practical for a car seat due to the bucket seats in the back. The make being only 2 doors makes it hard to move a child to and from the car seat. It is doable, however it is harder to do than a typical 4 door car. With that being said I do enjoy my scion. It's good on gas and oil. It's small enough to maneuver through traffic with ease, yet big enough I have fit a full size mattress and dresser in it.

My scion TC has been one of the best cars I've owned and driven

2012 Scion tC Base

I bought my car second-hand with only 37,000 miles on it and I've had it almost a year now and I absolutely love it. The only issue I've really had with it is the fact that I want to switch to a sedan because I have quite a few kids in my family and getting a car seat in and out of a coupe is not an easy task at times. Besides my preference to sedans, I have no regrets buying my car. It has a lot of room for a coupe and I've had no major issues with it, only maintenance work has needed done.

This car looks and drives like a dream.

2012 Scion tC Base

The only problems I've experienced with the car have been normal wear and tear due to age (replacing a water pump after 7 years, replacing tires). The car drives like a dream, with great pick up, smooth steering. It's comfortable and spacious, both for passengers and for cargo when the back seats lay flat. On top of everything, it's a beautiful looking car with easy maintenance that has been reliable ever since we bought it brand new.

Scion tC for young people

I do really like this car. Its quick, reliable, and stylish. The speakers in my car are absolutely fantastic, the best I've ever had. I also quite like the autopilot function and how easy it is to use. My few complaints with this car are that it sits really close to the ground so scraping is sometimes an issue. In addition, it's pretty stiff so you feel literally every bump in the road.

Scion tC review and thoughts

2012 Scion tC Base

It's a really nice car. Very reliable and has good gas mileage. I have had it for 3 years now and don't have any complaints. While there has been times where I had to take it in the shop, they were all maintenance and cosmetic. Keep in mind, this is a compact car so it is pretty easy to scrape up on the curb if you aren't careful.

Definitely worth the purchase.

2012 Scion tC Base

Very reliable vehicle. Easy to perform maintenance by yourself. Only thing I don't like is the limited visibility for the blind spot, especially when having to merge into a different lane. The front seats are kind of like bucket seats, so sometimes it's difficult to get out of the seat emergency exiting the vehicle.

Scion tc, hatchback with sunroof.

2012 Scion tC Base

It's a very nice driving car, does great in the snow, speaker system is great, I love my sunroof! The hatch back really comes in handy when needed love that the back seats fold down! Definitely a speedy little thing, when you are in a hurry she really moves, the response time in the gas pedal is very quick as well.

The Toyota scion the greatest invention yet they should renovate the future

2012 Scion tC Base

The engine lost compression. It can fall into a money pit, they last a long period of time they Made fairly cheap. Scion derives from Toyota made in japan. The engine has a timing chain. Not a belt so it never needs to be replaced by a certified mechanic

Good Car A Few Mechanical Issues

2012 Scion tC Base

Overall I like the cat white a bit. The clutch did break at about 90k mills. There was also a problem with the starter at about 80k. Gas mileage is good, sunroof works well. The acceleration is a tad sluggish and the interior is quite plastic feeling.

The dopest inexpensive sporty looking car

2012 Scion tC Base

Car is stylish... but the performance isn't too great. Speed and horsepower is fairly low. AC is cold and good. Car itself is reliable and just very basic. Customization has reasonable pricing and it gives you the opportunity to stand out tremendously.
