The long forgotten Scion xb!
I love the affordability of my scion xb. It gets great gas mileage, and I enjoy taking it on road trips (mountains, California) the handling is great, and it has a great safety rating! The sound system wasn't that good, so I hate to install one myself... Other than that I love my scion xb. It's too bad Toyota discontinued the scion xb. Really wish they would reconsider on bringing it back! It's a great vehicle for someone on S budget, who can't fork out 25,000 plus for a vehicle

The Most Underrated, but over performing car I have ever owned.
Large interior, very comfortable, grips the road like a compact car, you are a good distance from the windshield so it feels really roomy inside. The seats in the rear also have a lot of room and even with the seat pushed back the passengers don't feel squished, the performance is there if you need it, I have never felt like I couldn't get enough speed if needed.

Perfect car! With a low price tag!
I love that it's a compact. Looks tiny from the outside but has lots of room on the inside. Has a touch screen control panel, Bluetooth, hands free calling, back up camera. Controls on the steering wheel for music and calls. Odometer is digital. All gauges are more centered in dashboard rather than behind the steering wheel. Dislike that interior lighting is orange, would be better blue and that the standard paint job isn't great. Paint chips easily. Haven't had any mechanical problems. Did have 2 recalls and Toyota was great and got them taken care of.

Handling can be better. It tends to fishtail on wet roads.
It is very reliable, except when there is raining. It is east to fishtail sometimes. It is a little rocky inside the car especially on the freeway. Though the seats are very comfortable. The only cooling or heating ability is only in the front, to the front can have extreme temperatures while the back is always a little too cold or a little too warm. I love it though.

It is a compact suv but fits enough cargo and had plenty of leg room
I like the size and the gas mileage. It has some style. I wish it had gps

Reliable, compact, all purpose vehicle.
So far we have had no problem with our vehicle, it is the preferred car for everyone in our family. Great mileage, easy to maneuver and learn to drive with. Only downside is that in a 7 person family, it cannot be used all the time, but if only 5 are home or need to go somewhere it fits everyone comfortably, no matter the size. Surprisingly roomy on the inside, and still has plenty of space for the trunk- we're always doing sports in our family and there's never an issue with equipment fitting or not. Great on road trips to colleges, the beach, etc.

Stylish, fun to drive, comfortable and easy to navigate in the cities
Small and roomy inside - great gas mileage. Not enough power

Awesome car for everyone, I think it's made for younger generation. Compare to other Toyota cars it's a little noisy if you're on the road, but it's very comfortable and the engine is power despite it's a small looking car.
You would love it, but always remember the seats are fabric and you need to clean more often.

Easy control and maneuvering. Great on gas. It does not block out the sounds.
Great size, great gas mileage, but hate how bumpy the ride is. Also does not keep the road noise out.

It's similar to a Camry, just looks different.
I love the way it drives, the open feel and windows so you can see most of the road with few blind spots. It is also very spacious. I hate that it is ugly.

Scion: good running vehicle for basic everyday needs.
It is a good running car. It has troubles like any older model car would have but with cheap parts it is inexpensive to repair or update. Not a terrible vehicle to own. It has been reliable and very comfortable. You will not have any issues if you are set on getting this car and understand it.

Spacious interior/comfortable.
We were not interested in the scion initially, but once we sat inside, we were sold. The interior is nice and spacious. Comfortable ride in front and back. Drives great. Has Bluetooth and hands free features that are easy to operate. We get good gas mileage.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Kiki H.

The pros of the scion xb include price, very roomy, good gas mileage, stylish, reliable and dependable. I have experienced very little problems as I have kept up with routine maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Kiki H.

The scion xb is very low to the ground which is a challenge on some roads depending on where you live. The hatchback on the 2015 is much improved. I also owned a 2005 which had numerous problems concerning the handle that opens the hatchback.

Is The 2015 Scion xB A Good Car?

Yes. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't get very good gas mileage. My previous 2005 Scion was much better with gas mileage than my newer one.

Is The 2015 Scion xB A Good Value?

I paid about $13,500. For my Scion two years ago. It was two years old with about 10,000 miles on it. I think it is a great value for the money. I would not hesitate to buy another newer or older... Read More
