Well rounded car, perfect for 16-30 year olds and up.

I have owned my 2012 scion for 8 years. I bought it new, when I was 23, and still love it. The safety features and price is what drew me to it initially. It is compact enough I can park it anywhere but when you fold the seats down it has a ton of space. Bluetooth and USB plug has been great. The seats are comfortable and it's very roomy. It has 7 cup holders. I have been rough on this car (long road trips, taking it in dirt roads, etc) and am yet to have any problems with it. Just normal maintenance is all the money I have spent so far and plan to keep it as long as I can.

This is the best car I have ever had. It handles very well, has great acceleration. It gets great mileage too. It has some neat accessories also. Like a port to charge my cell phone. It also has a great radio set up. I just love everything about this wonderful car.

Minor mishaps, big benefits!

I really love my car. The only problem I have had out of it was needing to replace the speakers after about 5 years of use but after that, everything else has worked perfectly. If general maintenance is performed, you will not have an issue from this car. It is comfortable, ease driving, quiet, and has great gas mileage.

Engine is really powerful! Has a lot of get up and go!

Extremely reliable grocery getter! Gets me where I want to go. Pretty comfortable, great speaker system, too! It's a great little family car, though I usually use it as my daily driver to go to work. I have always loved Toyota's Scion line. Stylish, different and straightforward has always been my jam.

My car has great visibility and seems like a big car on the inside, but is actually small from the outside.

I like the size and maneuverability. It has good inside size and great room for transporting items. It also gets good gas mileage.

Excellent fuel economy for a low price

It's efficient, lightweight, navigable, and adorable. Simultaneously, it has very good storage capacity and passenger capability. Could stand to be better in the winter but snow tires would fix that.

THE BUILD QUALITY IS VERY GOOD I've never had to repair it in 5 years.

I love that my car is small and fits in small places. The bluetooth talk and audio/stereo is great feature. I dislike the gas efficiency around 31 mpg because the vehicle is so small i feel i should get closer to 40 like 38 mpg or higher. Sometimes it accelerates slow.

Great gas mileage and it's very cute!

I get great gas mileage and have had very few issues with my car. Just the usual. Things like brakes and spark plugs. I love my car!! If you are looking for a new car and can still find a good used scion, go for it! It's made by Toyota so its built to last.

Scion xd - it will get you from point a to point b.

Very loud interior when driving, poor visibility on back passenger side for people of my height, no ability to adjust seat height, repeated issues with the locking mechanisms for the car (automatic locking has sporadically gone out on three different doors), ignition switch periodically gets stuck, gas mileage is only okay for such a small vehicle.

The seats seem to be made for a different person. The seats sit too low and so my feet seem to not be in the right place to reach the pedal. The seats are not really exceedingly bad, but if I could choose over I would. It runs ok. Had a problem with the ac unit, but got it fixed.

The cars really small but I haven't had any major issues come up.

This car is way to small, you can't even fit one person per seat. There's no room for the driver or in the back seat. However, I do really like the two glove boxes, the Bluetooth radio, and its ability to be towed. It's a really reliable car, I have had mine for almost 2 years and I haven't had any issues.

Great car, transmission problems.

Everything is great except the transmission short shifts and it will most definitely have to be replaced. It is quiet and depending on how you drive you can get anywhere from 28mpg-50mpg. It handled well but the turning radius is not as tight as I would hope it to be. There is plenty of room and you can put the seats down to fit larger items in the car.

A small compact car But with a SUV kind of feel to it.

I have a 2012 Scion xD. Think this is a good starter car. I have to say I have not had any major problems with this car and I had it for about 7 yrs now. It has 120,000 mil on it and it runs great. For a small four door car is has a lot of space inside. Comfortable You the driver and it's passengers.

Not a family car. Young singles car

Not a family car. More for a single young adult. No real trunk space. Not a lot of room in the back seat. But good mileage for the most part but has a small gas tank

The small car but seems spacious.

It is extremely good on gas. It looks like a small car but it actually feels a lot more spacious than it looks. It also doesn't feel like you are super close to the ground either. And you don't feel like you have to crawl out of it like a lot of cars do. The only thing is if you have kids it's not very big in the back seat for car seats.

Small, cramped, good at hauling things. Great gas mileage, easy care, zippy, able to convert well. Great car.

The gas gauge is light up.

It is a good reliable vehicle.

It is very comfortable and there's room to carry most of the things I take with me. I have had very few mechanical issues that were not related to the age and mileage of the car. I have made use of the Bluetooth feature very handy. I think that most of the features in my car are now standard on most new vehicles.

It is small, so I can get it into tight parking spots. It also has front wheel drive making it better for snow. My average MPG is 29 miles to the gallon city driving. If maintained the car has limited repairs needed.

Handles great in all weather. Reliable, no major mechanical issues. Great fuel efficiency. Interior is flexible and spacious. Has a lot of places to hold beverages. When seats go down, it is completely flat.

Great gas mileage, smooth ride, decent in snow. Does well with highway and street driving. The care has tons of storage. I can haul my bike and keep it locked up in the back. It also looks cute and a great car.

The car is low to the ground making it hard to see sometimes around bigger trucks on the highway. It has limited storage in the care causing headaches when I am trying to transport my bike to different races. The heating/cooling system takes a long time to warm up or cool off. The gas tank is only 10 gallons.

No fog lights. Not AWD. Cloth seats. Cannot tie down the dog cage. It has been discontinued and cannot get a new one. Trying to find a new car that meets the standard requirements that this car has made for me.

The car is low to the ground and the ac/heat needs to be on full blast on either end of the spectrum. There is no middle ground. I wish the headlights were a little brighter to see better at night.
