Forrester - it's probably worth it
2017 Subaru Forester Base
I had one problem initially - the rearview mirror literally fell off the windshield and hung in the air. The dealer didn't respond quickly and I drove around like that for weeks, which was dangerous and inconvenient. They did fix it at no cost eventually. Other than that the car has been fine - nothing outstanding and in my opinion a little overpriced for what you get. But I know it will hold value to a good degree, and it's flexible to transport people/stuff as needed. I would purchase this car again, but almost certainly go with a used car next time. Everyone I know who owns this car likes it and recommends it. Car is reliable, though only 18 months old at this point. Relatively comfortable, though the cup holders could be deeper. One thing that doesn't work consistently is the Bluetooth - I am constantly stuck on phone calls that go back and forth on and off Bluetooth without warning and miss words, etc. Also, when you start the car the screen reads information and if you are using the speakers you have to wait for the screen to scroll before you can control the speakers.
